Chapter 8

Casey

It has been 2 months since we started seeing each other. We spend so much time together outside the office together but not even once did we meet during breaks.

When I ask about this he says he works during the breaks also.

We both know we are more than friends. Today he have officially asked me out for the first time.

So now I'm standing infront of my wadrobe and making a mess to choose a dress.

"Babes, what should I wear I'm confused now."

"Wear something which will blow his mind out."

"Yeah right, he is a sex on stick and me a mouse in front of him."

"You are gorgeous babe don't worry."

"Okay bye J BYEEEE."

After half an hour of messing around the wadrobe I choose the white dress which comes till the knee. I keep my makeup minimized to mascara and lipstick.

When I'm checking myself on the mirror my phone rings.

"Hey project, if you give me your apartment no, I will come up so we could just exit together."

"Yeah yeah sure mine is 14C, just come we will leave together."

When he comes and knocks in the door it seems like his knocks set out a bottle of butterflies to flutter in the stomach.

I feel giddy and like a teenager waiting for her crush. I run and open the door.

"Hey lucky charm."

His smile, Oh God!

"Yeah, so come let's move."

The ride in the car was a silent ride as I was not able to contain my excitement inside me but I was quiet for my own good.

The restaurant was a quiet place. We enter, to my left I see an old couple happily having their dinner date.

I wish I can have meal with Matt like this after 20-25 years and I imagine me and Matt

sitting their all grey and white smiling each other.

"Casey, you here.". His voice brings me out of the trance.

"Yeah, sorry I just got lost...."

"On the old couple on the left, me too I was also lost for a minute."

I blush knowing he also wants that. We get settled onto our reserved table.

"So today I don't want to talk about office and project. I want to know about the casey inside the professional Cassandra Gates. So tell me about the real you."

"Ok I am Casey who is 27, likes colour grey and have most dress within white, black and grey, likes to spend free time with netflix, a bowl of ice-cream. Loves pets but due to lack of time doesn't have one."

"Why?"

"When no-one is there to take care of the pets, then when you visit them you can play and spoil the pets."

"Matt, I myself didn't have parents to spoil me rotten then how will they spoil the pets."

"Oh sorry, I'm so sorry."

"Hey, nothing to be sorry about, I am the one who didn't bring up the subject as being abadoned within few hours of birth is something hard to share with someone, so I don't bring up the parent's subject."

"Don't worry, project we are in the same page."

What! he is an orphan.

"Ok, you are the only one aside Jina, I have told that I'm an orphan. Infact, you are the only one who knows about me, I don't trust people this fast. But I don't know I just wanna trust you."

"Hey Casey, It's ok I also trust you that's why I brought you here, because I want to share some pieces of my life with you also which I have not opened with people close to me because it is very difficult for me."
