Chapter 20

Joon: 12.12.15

I decided not to answer her and pushed her off me, I took my shoes and jacket off then threw them on a nearby chair.

I sat on the edge of her bed “What?” I asked when I noticed that she was frowning at me.

“Take your clothes off.” She demanded as she knocked my hat off and went for my shirt.

I grabbed her hands “No, now stop.” I scolded.

She shook her head and whined but it was slightly slurred so I didn't pay it no mind. I stared at the light switch then looked around for something to throw at it, I sighed and took my socks off, rolled them in a ball and threw it at the switch successfully knocking it down.

Yandy gasped “Was that a ghost?” She whispered loudly.

I was too tired to respond so I decided to ignore her, maybe she'll fall asleep if I do. She kept repeating my name but I kept ignoring, hoping it would die down but little did I know her voice put me to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of snoring in my ear, I groaned and tried to turn away from it but couldn't because something was holding me down. I felt around and my eyes snapped open when I came in contact with skin, I looked to my left and saw Yandy sleeping peacefully, minus the snoring. I stared at her face before settling on her lips, I traced her lips slowly and she grimaced before shaking her head with a low moan that caused me to tense. I needed to go, I tried to pry her off but she wouldn't budge, her hand was trailing down my abs slowly and she snuggled closer to me.

I groaned out in frustration until it hit me, I poked her bonnet and started to push it back. Her hand came flying out of nowhere and smacked mine, her eyes flew open and she looked at me confused.

We stared at each other “What are you doing here?” She croaked.

I furrowed my eyebrows, Did she forget what happened last night? “You don’t remember?” I asked lowly.

She stretched her arms over head with a nod “Yeah, but when I woke up around 5 you weren’t here.” She said quietly.

Oh yeah... “I had to make a phone call.” I said nonchalantly before noticing that she was only in a blue shirt and black shorts “When did you change?” I asked with a frown.

She rubbed her eyes “At 3.” She answered with a yawn and opened one eye “I had to pry your hands off my boobs.” She smirked.

I scoffed “No you didn't.” I sat up.

She shrugged before rolling away from me “Believe what you want.” She said as she got up “But I know the truth.” She winked at me then left the room.

I looked at my hands as I squeezed, She’s lying, I looked at the door before getting up and putting my shoes on. Picking up my jacket, I made my way out her room. I found her in the small kitchen putting something into the microwave. She noticed me and waved me over.

“I just wanted to thank you for last night.” She smiled.

I waved her off “It’s ok-”

“I think we should break up.” She stated as she looked me in my eyes.

I didn’t blink “No.” Was my immediate reply.

She blinked in shock then regained her composure “I meant after this semester, we both are doing internships so you really wouldn't have any girls trying to distract you-”

I took a deep breath as I listened to her list out everything, she was right but I wasn't done with her. I was nowhere near figuring out why I was so attracted to her.

“Yandy,” she glanced at me “you're right.” She looked startled then I took her hand “but we can't break up.”

She furrowed her eyebrows “Why not?” She asked.

I licked my lips “I-” I paused “it’s the other thing.” I said quietly.

She tilt her head to the side then made an O with her mouth “Right.” She nodded as she handed me a mug “The thing you want me to help you with but won’t tell me?” She asked knowingly, I nodded “I still think we should break up though.” She took a sip before setting it down on the counter “I can still help you out.” She offered.

I stared at her and noticed she wouldn’t look at me then it clicked “Is this because of last night?” I accused “Are you embarrassed that I saw you drunk?” I asked.

She looked at me in shock but looked away quickly “What?” She sputtered “Nooo.” She blurted, almost dropping her hot pocket.

I smiled at her “Ok.” She looked relieved but that wasn’t going to last for long because I heard a door open “Are you breaking up with me because I won't have sex with you?” I questioned loudly, making it seem like I was emotionally distraught.

Her eyes widen as she looked at me in shock.

“Yo Yandy, that's low.” Nidia yelled from behind me “You shouldn't break up with someone because they don't wanna have sex.” She scolded as she stood next to me, I saw her give Yandy a disappointing look “I would never think you would do something like that.” She shook her head at Yandy before giving me a sympathetic smile.

“I wasn't!” Yandy blurted “It's not- you walked in on the-” she paused and rubbed her forehead while muttering.

Nidia stared at Yandy “Yo moms would be hella disappointed Yands if she knew.” She tsked “She raised you better than that.” Then she turned to walk away.

Yandy gaped at her before turning to me with a glare but all I did was give her a smile and took a sip from my cup. I knew that it was a low blow but I couldn't let her go yet, honestly I didn't want and for that reason alone is why I have to keep her around.

I sat my cup down, You can't leave me, not yet Yandy.
