"We knew that you and Jiang Yexun were definitely going back to Shanghai this year. Don't worry, as long as any one of us draws the lot, it's all for you," Tao Junlan assured, patting her chest.
Su Xiaoxiao was immediately touched, her eyes sparkling as she looked straight at Tao Junlan and Qian Siyu.
"Thank you so much."
"What's the big deal? Haven't you said it yourself? We're friends," Tao Junlan said casually.
Su Xiaoxiao turned to Aunt Guo, who was standing in the yard. "Auntie, I will go back to the educated youth dormitory with Junlan and Siyu."
"No problem, go ahead. Yexun, you go with Xiaoxiao and take the hatchet. It's getting dark, so be careful," Aunt Guo waved and reminded Jiang Yexun with concern.
Jiang Yexun turned back to the kitchen, took a flashlight and the hatchet, and came out again.
"Let's go," he said softly.
The four of them walked along the rural path, constantly gossiping about the educated youth dormitory.
