New Detective

The next morning her phone rang while she was reading a section on the Great Wall of Tetra. Megan was trying to picture a wall that reached deep into the earth, then from the ground to the top of the sky.

She wasn't sure she could picture what they meant. She was about to ask Mim, but her phone rang. It was detective Mitchell.

Megan answered on the third ring. "Hello detective, how can I help you today?"

"Megan, I'm sorry to bother you again so soon. Is there any chance I could get you to come down to the station and listen to a briefing? We have a bit of a situation here." Mitchell asked uncomfortably.

"Okay, sure. What time is the briefing?" Megan asked.

"As soon as you get here the situation is time critical." The detective answered with a sigh.

"I'll be there in about forty-five minutes." Megan said hurrying upstairs to change.

"Good, we'll see you then." Mitchell answered and hung up.
