Chapter twenty-three.

"I also ask myself the same question." She said "How about you?"

Instead of answering, he pulled out his phone, "Here they are"

Anna glanced at the phone screen to see a family of six members, Liam, Ron, Lewis, a guy she hadn't seen before who looked older than Liam, their dad who she had seen in the video just a few minutes ago and then a woman....

"Your mom is black?" Anna asked in astonishment.

"Uh huh!" Liam replied gazing at her cute reactions on his family, it amused him how she was already in love with his people even before officially meeting them.

"She's so beautiful. This explains why your skin is kinda dark compared to Lexie's" She said, "Wait, how about Lexie?"

"She's actually my cousin sister, our dads are brothers" Liam cleared the air. He watched her nod but didn't say anything else.

Anna made to grab his tequila but Liam caught her hand. She pouted, "You're drinking alone while I'm here taking kids' drinks."

"Oh yes! Till when you get better, but for now, you're grounded on boozing! Literally, I would like seeing you do what you did at the night club for me but you're still sick." Liam teased.

"Wha---wha...what d-d-do you mean?" Anna asked with wide eyes, 'There's no way he was there!'

As if he found it difficult to just explain with his mouth, he pulled out his phone again and played her dancing video. Anna buried her face in her hands on the table in embarrassment. The way she was twerking in the video killed her.

Liam chuckled, he got up, pulled her up by the armpits and took them in a small lounge were they sat next to each other. She laid her head on his lap.

"Don't worry about that, 'cause I got a lot more funny videos and photos of you." Liam said leaning down.

Anna sat upright, "Let me see them"

"Ready?"

"Uhmh" She nodded.

"Don't cry" Liam said with a grin, he played the Mr Edmond's birthday party video where Anna was turning around showing off her manicure and pedicure to Eric in a so dramatic way, multiple other videos at the cafe where she was making funny faces and funny childish dances to her colleagues and finally where she was playfully stealing her colleagues' food and drinks. All footage clips were so funny.

Anna went from blushing to gut deep laughing.

"Who keeps somebody's embarrassing moments only and never the good ones." She asked after rounds of laughter.

"Me!" Liam said shrugging, "I fell in love with this crazy part of you than the serious or shy one"

"Stop! How were you filming me, dude? You're a bad boy, the way I used to suppose that you're alway oblivious of my existence!"

"In your dreams." Liam said shrugging.

She clasped her both arms with his left arm and then put her chin on his upper arm, staring at his side face profile. Liam tilted his head and stared back at her as well.

"What?" He asked at her pointy nose and heart shaped lips then siren eyes.

"You don't know how much I had dreamt about you. It worsened the night before your uncle's party. You were confessing your undying love to me and we ended up making out, when I woke up, I couldn't stop touching myself and calling your name all night long" Anna said with a naughty grin as she watched Liam's expression switch from casual to needy, he started heaving nonstop sighs as his gaze shifted often from her eyes to her lips.

Anna grinned, "Tit for tat is a fair game, right? You filmed me without my consent, now suffer alone, that's my revenge."

His face contracted with need, he was super stimulated. He tried to turn fully to kiss her or so but the girl hopped on her feet in a quick motion.

"Justin Bieber!" She exclaimed throwing her hands in the air, she immediately started dancing on the song.

Liam crossed his legs trying to hide his stiffening bulge in irritation, he clutched his head and glared at her but the girl just winked at him with a mischievous smile and continued dancing at 'Despacito' song.

"I'm so good at revenge, bitch. You will cry!" He threatened under his breath but the smile in his eyes betrayed him, only seeing her feeling free with him brought sheer happiness in his chest. He loved seeing her happy and funny always.

Given that most people in the pub were watching football in another section, they were alone in the lounge, so nobody was distracting her from intertaining her man. When the song came to an end, she was still thinking of sitting again when the deejay played 'Mirrors' by Justin Timberlake.

"Ah!" She excitedly screamed and forcefully pulled Liam up for a dance. Liam had nothing else to do than to indulge to her command. He wound his right arm around her waist as she also snaked her left arm around his shoulder and then clasped their remaining hands. They started moving in slow motions on the song's rhythm.

"I had always played this song every single time I thought about you. Staring at your photos, wishing that you were mine." Anna said, her demeanor had changed for cheerful to emotional.

Liam kissed on her forehead, he didn't know what to say. In his nature, the emotional he gets, the silent he becomes. He held her closer.

She laid her head on his shoulder, she had started all this trying to nag him but the tables had turned, her plans backfired because the more he held her closer, the more she was set on fire.

When the song ended, Liam excused himself for a moment and went to deejay. He requested for a song and then came back to Anna. He pulled her in his arms.

"Listen carefully to it. It's been my favourite song after I met you. I would listen to it sitting on my window at night staring at the sky, just wishing that I could see you at that time." He said staring in her eyes. The song started, it was 'Talking to the moon' by Bruno Mars.

Anna was in tears by now, the lyrics plus Bruno's slow soothing voice sunk deeper into her heart unlocking all her hidden emotions. She laid her forehead on his chest. The song spread through her veins entirely, every single word hitting her like a heavy hardcore.

Liam placed his chin on her head, his fingers soothing her nape. "I love you, Annabelle. And nobody else besides you"

A low sob escaped her mouth. Everything in the world blurred and her ears ceased hearing anything and anybody else but Liam. It had always been easy watching movie scenes like these, but reality hit different. She wasn't prepared for it 'cause her knees weakened real bad and her own breath failed her. She had always prayed to fall in love but she had forgotten to pray for strength in situations like this. She felt too dizzy to stand still.

"Let's go back home" She said in a lowest tone. She wanted to be with him right now, in the dark, when there's no one else around to sabotage them.

"Will you be able to trek?" Liam asked, moving his hand on one side of her face that wasn't leaning on his chest.

"Uhm" Anna half hummed half moaned in response.

"Alright" Liam assured and looked around for a waitress or waiter. He beckoned at one. "Park two plates of chips and chicken wings. Make three rather, hurry up." He said remembering that Anna would like to buy for Fiona as well.

It seemed like the football match had ended as people started crowding the lounge but Anna didn't care if anybody saw her in the intimate position she was in.

"Let's take you sit as we wait, okay?" Liam said but the girl didn't let go of him, he lifted her up and went to sit on the couch, he made her sit on his lap. Her nose and breath tickled him on the neck but he didn't complain, he didn't want his crybaby girl to burst into another fits of tears. He was after all enjoying the full attention she was giving him, 'cause if it was other normal girls, she would've gotten time to enjoy her iPhone but she hadn't. All her focus was on him, which made him look forward to spending all his free time with her, it wouldn't be a waste for sure.
