The Surprise Confession

The next few weeks flew by in a whirlwind of meetings and creative brainstorming sessions. Aiko and Ryo were thrilled about the potential of their project with Sakura Entertainment, but they were also feeling the pressure. Despite their busy schedules, they found moments of laughter and teasing that kept their spirits high.

One evening, after a particularly intense day at the Sakura offices, they decided to unwind with a quiet dinner at their favorite restaurant. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food provided a much-needed respite from their hectic routine.

As they were waiting for dessert, Ryo leaned in with a mischievous grin. "Aiko, I've been thinking..."

Aiko raised an eyebrow, sensing that he was up to something. "Oh? And what might that be, Mr. Tezuka?"

Ryo's grin widened. "I've noticed you've been a bit stressed lately. Maybe you need some inspiration. How about we go on a little adventure this weekend?"

Aiko's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What kind of adventure are we talking about?"

Ryo leaned even closer, lowering his voice to a whisper. "It's a surprise. But I promise it'll be worth it."

Aiko loved surprises, especially when they came from Ryo. "Alright, I'm in. But you better make it good!"

Ryo chuckled, enjoying their playful banter. "Oh, it will be."

The next morning, Ryo woke Aiko up early. "Get dressed, we're leaving in an hour," he said with a teasing tone.

Aiko, still groggy, looked at him suspiciously. "Where are we going, Ryo?"

"You'll see," he replied with a wink.

They drove out of the city, and as they ventured into the countryside, Aiko's curiosity grew. Ryo finally pulled up to a picturesque lake surrounded by cherry blossom trees. The scene was like something out of a romantic painting.

Aiko gasped. "Ryo, this is beautiful!"

Ryo smiled, pleased with her reaction. "I thought it might be the perfect place to relax and find some inspiration."

They spent the day exploring the area, having a picnic by the lake, and laughing like carefree teenagers. As the sun began to set, they found a secluded spot under a large cherry blossom tree. The pink petals gently floated down around them, creating a magical atmosphere.

Ryo turned to Aiko, his expression suddenly serious. "Aiko, there's something I've been wanting to ask you."

Aiko felt a flutter of nerves mixed with excitement. "What is it, Ryo?"

He took her hands in his, looking deeply into her eyes. "Aiko, ever since we met, you've been my muse, my partner, and my best friend. We've faced so many challenges together, and every time, we've come out stronger. I can't imagine my life without you. So, I want to ask you..."

Ryo reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, elegantly crafted box. Aiko's breath caught in her throat as he opened it to reveal a beautiful, sparkling ring.

"...Will you marry me?"

Aiko's eyes filled with tears of joy and surprise. She was speechless for a moment, overwhelmed by the emotion of the moment. Finally, she found her voice. "Yes, Ryo. Yes, I will marry you!"

Ryo slipped the ring onto her finger, and they embraced, feeling a wave of happiness and love wash over them. As they kissed under the cherry blossom tree, Aiko whispered, "You really know how to surprise me, Ryo."

He chuckled softly, holding her close. "I told you it would be worth it."
