Chapter 34

I LAUGHED quietly at myself. What a fool I was to still have feelings for Xylon. This unexplainable sensation that I couldn't fathom until now.

"Stop talking, Xyle! It was never your fault," I said without looking at him.

"You still have feelings for Fiore. I should not have insisted in the first place."

"You didn't force me."

"Still, I took advantage of you."

"I'm not a wimp because I can fight if I want to!" I let out a sigh.

Truth be told, whatever that thing is? It was memorable for me. If I was sorry for what happened between us back then, the night we spent together was different. Because that night meant a lot to me.

"Then why did you let me?" he asked. I couldn't look straight at his earnest and keen reaction.

I averted my gaze. Why did I allow him? The answer remains a question to me. But I have to be firm with what I have chosen.

"Y-You're right, Xylon. That was so unacceptable. We shouldn't have done it. We shouldn't even talk about it..."
