I nodded my head to the old couple, feeling my cheeks inflamed from rage. They were not guilty that Jason was an arrogant moron. Indeed, someone had to repay for their kindness, and it seemed like it wasn’t a job for a millionaire.
“Of course! A-any way I could help, if you need me...for something,” I stuttered.
“That would be great, actually!” Billy exclaimed.
“So nice of…you...to offer your help, Amy,” Melisa grinned, and my eyes went to her smile with a few missing teeth.
“Then, let’s eat now. Chit-chats later! The animals would not wait for us!” Billy stated and dug into his breakfast.

After breakfast, Melisa took me outside behind the house and showed me how to feed the chickens. It wasn’t hard to do, but she went to feed their pigs while I had to fight my way out of the hungry bird’s territory. Once they saw the seeds spilling, they crowded around me and some even dared to climb on me, pushing towards the food.
