"Are you hurt anywhere?" Lumielle asked, her golden eyes showed concern as she quietly went to wipe Aristele's cheek with her thumb.

He had been so small and now, she had to reach to caress his face. How time had changed. How quickly the flow of fate had come to culminate into this. Aristele had won. It was hard for her to let go of the brother that he once was for this lustrous version. She loved both equally.

"I'm fine," Aristele said with a slight smile on his face, "You don't need to worry about me."

That almost made her laugh. All Lumielle did was fret over Aristele. Her precious younger brother who had lost his life. The jeers of the crowd still haunted her as his warm blood splattered to the ground. Headless, she saw his lifeless body in front of her. The smell of death becoming putrid.
