Frivolities

"Did you hear?" Vera whispered placing down her teacup and facing Lumielle. The two of them were sitting inside of the gondola. Marquise Cassiel had a small lake inside of his manor and the two of them were sitting inside of it.

Lumielle tilted her head, "Hear about what?" She inquired.

"The Archbishop passed away," Veronica said shaking her head. Dark tresses had been pulled up in an elegant bun. She wore a copper-colored dress, the rosy-goldish hue making her look beautiful as black lacing only accented her dark hair and lashes.

Already? Her eyes widened in surprise, "Really?" She inquired. Did the Archbishop pass away this soon in the first timeline? She didn't remember. She hadn't remembered but, if things went according to her plan then she would be able to meet the next Archbishop soon and create a relationship with them.
