Chapter 89: The Phantom Menace (Part 4)

Shmi Skywalker had fitted in her role after a few days. She proved herself to be a phenomenal cook and had snack for inventing new recipes. Alexander had not asked her about Anakin's father even after one week of their journey towards Corellia. Alexander planned to make Jerek do that once she became completely accustomed to her new life. It took three weeks to reach Corellia. Shmi was quite excited to see the core world. Shmi was registered as a citizen of Corellia and also had her bank account opened. Alexander then transferred 10,000,000 Million credits to Shmi's bank account and appointed a maid to guide her for buying all the amenities. Shmi was quite shocked to receive such a huge amount and tried to return it but was denied by Alexander.

Alexander had planned this as he wanted to delve into Shmi's mind as during the travel, Alexander had Jerek question Shmi about herself and most importantly, Anakin's father. Shmi didn't remember anything about Anakin's father and according to her account, woke up pregnant one day. As a tired person's mind was more easy to delve into, Alexander planned to do this after she returned from her shopping trip. Alexander didn't feel particularly good about this but Anakin's parentage was a mystery in this world. Late at night, Alexander sneaked into Shmi's room with Carter in tow.

Alexander spoke up, " I still don't know how to feel about all this."

Carter replied, " I am perfectly comfortable, Your Majesty. As a spy, I have been in worse situation."

Alexander glared at Carter and said, " You were supposed to feign same level of discomfort as me and encourage me to perform the deed."

Carter nodded seriously and said, " I will keep this in mind for the next time, Your Majesty."

Alexander hissed, " There would be no next time."

Carter just smiled a knowing smile and said, " Yes, Your Majesty, there will be no next time."

Alexander simply glared at Carter and moved to Shmi's bedside. Alexander casted a deep sleep spell on Shmi, to prevent her from awakening and placed his hand on Shmi's forehead. Alexander delved into her mind and just focused memories related to Anakin as he didn't want to be a peeping Tom. Alexander arrived at the day when Shmi discovered herself to be pregnant and slowly started to review the further past memories. These memories were of the time when Shmi Skywalker was a slave owned by Gardulla The Hutt. Gardulla was quite a fan of parties and often throwed lavish parties according to the standards of Outer Rim. Alexander encountered a block in Shmi's memory and slowly removed the block. The block had a magical signature and Alexander now, knew that it was the doing of one of his men. Shmi was a waitress in one such parties where a new sexual drug was introduced by Gardulla which made the users lose their mind. Shmi also didn't remember anything beyond this.

Alexander moved out of Shmi's mind and left her room with Carter in tow. Alexander spoke up," I found a magical memory block in her mind. I didn't poke further and left as it could damage her mind."

Carter replied, " We can bring a mind healer to probe her mind."

Alexander replied, " She was under the effects of a drug and doesn't remember anything. I am going to peer into the past to know the truth. Carter!! Bring me the Charter of Laws tomorrow. I want to add a new law. Everyone who leaves the kingdom for another world now has to tell everything he has done in the other world to the Intelligence personnel without any alterations. I think you know what kind of questions, you have to ask them, Carter?"

Carter nodded and said, " Yes, Your Majesty."

Alexander continued, " This law will be applicable on every species and gender. Also, I want you to crub stomp these various groupees that are active in my kingdom. I don't want any nonsense ideas being circulated in my kingdom."

Carter nodded and said, " It will done in 15 days." Alexander simply nodded and entered his suite. He then activated his past viewing ability and peered into the past.

Alexander watched as an orgy enfolded at the party. Shmi was also under the influence of the drug and had sex with a dark haired man. The man was the first to regain conciousness and cursed, " The team leader will have my head for this." Alexander watched as the man gathered a green mass of energy in his hands and whispered 'Oblivate' and left the room. The man also altered all the recordings of the party and removed himself and by extension, Shmi from the recordings. The man then left the palace of Gardulla and met up with his teammates. Alexander transferred the description of the man to Carter and said , " You will decide his punishment. I am going to sleep. Also, interrogate everyone who has visited the star wars world since beginning. We will also have to design new laws for similar off-world cases. As you and your men are more exprerienced with the darker side of the people, the preparation of laws and the punishments for crimes would be your job."

The Charter of Laws was a book generated by the laws governing the king's bloodline by which a king could enforce his laws throughout the kingdom. Till now, Alexander had to broadcast his laws into the mind of his subjects or announced to the people but now, the laws would be made known to the subjects in their minds as soon as they were written. The laws written in the Charter were mandatory and the subjects had to follow these laws. The book comes into existence only when the population of the kingdom crosses the mark of 10 quadtrillion. The book was not present when Alexander had went into seclusion. Only the king can open the book and write or remove laws. Alexander was given this knowledge when his kingdom's population had crossed the mark but he had not paid much attention to it as he had some trust on those three. Alexander had transferred the location of Charter to Carter. The Charter was in his palace inside a secret compartment in the throne room. Alexander had shifted the Charter to this location from it's original spawning point, which was the platform. Now, Alexander was going to write all the essential laws into the Charter.

Alexander now had another problem on his hands, if he combine all the 29 Million planets that he had conquered into one planet then, that planet would have a diameter of 357.6 Billion kilometers. He cannot expect the sun and moon of his kingdom to increase to such proportions which correspond to the gigantic planet that would be the end result. In order to maintain an atmosphere similar to earth, the various constants between sun, moon and earth has to be maintained.

Thankfully, Alexander would have full control of over the new planet so he would be able to maintain the gravity at earth standards without any side effects. Alexander was planning to conquer moons and suns also. Alexander ordered all the forces which were stationed on the conquered planets to conquer their moons also. Alexander was not going to ask carbon lifeforms to conquer suns, only Phrik Ballastians and Alexander were capable of doing so.

According to experts, it would take 2 weeks for the Jedi and their charges to reach Coruscant. According to Alexander's estimates, it would take him 6 months to 1 year to conquer all the 25,000 planets under the Republic. Alexander was going to do this after Anakin Skywalker becomes Obi-Wan Kenobi's padawan. After the conquest of Republican planets are completed, Alexander planned to end Palapatine. Palapatine had not yet constructed his secret facility on Ignoth. Alexander's people had already conquered that planet.

2 WEEKS LATER, REPUBLICAN SENATE, CORUSCANT:

Alexander was quite happy. The time taken to conquer the moons was lot less as compared to planets. It took his men 7 to 10 days to completely conquer all the moons of the conquered planets. The new moon was quite bigger than intended with a diameter of 90 Billion kilometers. Alexander planned to make the moon habitable but had not thought of it's use yet. Alexander looked around from the pod he was sitting in and observed his surroundings. Quite a few Senators looked quite dissatisfied. This was the result of Carter's work, these Senators planned to extort the Queen of Naboo but were stopped by him.

Alexander sensed a very sinister presence among the Senators and turned to look in that direction. He saw a middle aged man speaking to a young girl, a weird alien which looked as the dumbest being ever, a young boy and two Jedi. Alexander thought, " So, this is Palapatine or Darth Sidious." Alexander then turned towards the Corellian Senator, it was his pod that Alexander was currently occupying and spoke up in a low voice, " So, Senator, what do you think Palapatine's next step after our declaration would be?"

Corellian Senator Tyrek Senk said, " He is a manipulative man like all the previous sith lords so he will try to escalate the conflict and also, increase the pressure on us by encouraging the Jedi and Senate to take action against us."

Alexander snorted and said, " Nothing will come out of this. We have already marked all the hideouts and major meeting points. The slavers and pirates had become quite clever but all is worthless when you have the entire galaxy under surveillance. It would take maximum 3 days to purge the galaxy of slavers and pirates. Then, The slugs will be next....I was thinking of disposing off the snake after the conquest is complete but I have changed my mind. He has to die as soon as possible." Alexander thought, " The Phrik Ballastians would be perfect for this. They would not be harmed by the lightsaber and also their physical capabilities will give them an edge. But, Palapatine is quite cunning so I will have to send more men to close all the avenues of his escape."

Alexander turned his attention to the Senate and watched as Queen Padmé gave quite a good speech which would have made the whole Senate seething with anger at the injustice that the people of Naboo were facing, if the Senate had not been corrupt to it's bones. In almost all the universes, Senate would have done nothing but here, The Senate was controlled by Alexander and he had decided to help Naboo.

The Chancellor spoke up, " Does the representative of Trade Federation wants to speak something on this matter?"

The representative which was also a Nemodian spoke up," The Trade Federation condemns the actions of Sectorial Officer Nute Gunray and will take effective actions against him. The Trade Federation will also compensate Naboo for the difficulties faced by them. We also request the Senate to send appropriate aid to Naboo."

NABOO's SENATOR POD, REPUBLICAN SENATE:

All the inhabitants of the pod except Anakin and Jar Jar Binks had shocked expression on their faces. Obi-Wan spoke up, " Well, this is unexpected."

Jedi Master Quinn nodded in agreement and said, " The Trade Federation is notorious for protecting it's own throughout the galaxy. Something big must have happened to make them behave in such a way. But what could make them change their attitude so drastically?"

Suddenly, Anakin spoke up, " Look a new pod is coming to the center. Who are they? Why has everyone become quite?"

Jedi Master Quinn said in a serious voice, " Anakin!! I want you to be completely silent right now. We need to center our complete focus on the events that will follow. The Senate has gone silent because they also want to do the same. As for who they are? They are the representatives of The Fortis Family. Now, keep silent for few minutes."

Obi-Wan spoke up, " Master!! I have a bad feeling about this. Last time, the representative of this family spoke up in Senate, a slaughter had happened across the galaxy."

Jedi Master Quinn said in a grave tone, " Let's watch the happenings now."

The chancellor spoke up, " This Chair recognises The Representative of Fortis Family."

The representative was a middle aged man called James Samuel. He was the graduate of Imperial Academy from Political Sciences and also, was a Rank 18 Magus. He spoke up, " The Fortis Family Head has expressed his sympathy for the people of Naboo and has decided to give them a financial aid of 100 Trillion credits....." The announcement caused a wave of shock through the Senate. Queen Padmé showed her quick thinking and spoke up, " We are extremely grateful to The Family Head. I will want to personally thank him for his aid, if it is possible."

The Representative smiled and said, " I will see if this is possible." His promise also send another wave of shock as The Fortis Family was notoriously recluse and had refused to meet even the Chancellor of The Senate.

The Representative then continued in a grave voice, " With the invasion of Naboo, The Pact between The Family, Republic and Jedi Order has come to an end. The Family Head has authorised another purge and this time, we will not stop till even a last man remains alive. This is all I have to say. Thank You!!" The decalaration made by the representative caused a grave expression to come on the faces of the people who knew what the representative meant. Nobody tried to stop the representative from leaving.

Alexander thought, " In two to three years, the conquest of this world would be complete. I should start searching the multiverse for the next suitable world."
