Chapter 127: The Return (Part 5)

HORROR.....

FEAR.....

Horror and fear were the only expressions that adorned the faces of the occupants of the Huang Manor as they listened to the possible fate that would befall on them if they didn't follow the demands of their invaders.

Haung Xiaolong stepped forward with a determined face and said, " I am willing to be put under this curse of yours if you let my family and our servants go." Haung Xiaolong's words caused an outcry among the people of Huang Manor. The most vocal were his immediate family, Li Lu and Zhao Shu.

Jonathan, " Your decision is admirable. If His Majesty agrees, we will try to change the curse to a more moderate one. We are capable of doing this."

Li Lu stepped forward with a crying face, " Then, put me under the curse too. I will not be able to see him in such a state." Again, a few voices of disagreement were heard from the crowd.

Alexander fed up with the nonsense spoke up in Sanskrit, "Just dose all of them with The Draught of Living Death."

Jonathan," We are not completely aware of the effect magical potions have on Cultivators, Your Highness. Some potions have extraordinary effect while others acts as poisons. Our researchers are still experimenting on this. Moreover, their qi will inherently resist the negative effects."

Sam, " Why not have Haung Xiaolong join our kingdom?"

Alexander, " There is a link between every subject and king. How can I be sure that there is no way for the cosmic entity who reincarnated him to hijack that link and harm or control me? I will not take any chances. This situation is not permanent. Next advancement will straighten out all the prevailing issues. Now, what to do with them?"

Li, " I think that we are wasting too much time on this, Your Highness. We can simply put down the formations which will mimick the effect of the curse. Cultivators also employ such formations to preserve their perishable treasures after all. It will require some research but it can be done."

Alexander, " Sometimes the most simple conclusion is the hardest to arrive at. I also think that I am not using the resources of my kingdom properly and efficiently. I have trillions of strategists and thinkers under me; instead of brainstroming among ourselves; I could have simply ordered them to find me a solution. I will rectify this after returning back."

Daniel, " I think that certain issues should be addressed right now, Your Highness."

Alexander, " What you have on your mind?"

Daniel, " Huang Xiaolong will surely hold a grudge against us. He will be the prime target as a mole for various cosmic entities who will want to invade us after our Ascension. We will not be able to always monitor him in your absence; and your time is too precious to be wasted on monitoring a single person. I think that after the 13 universes are conquered, we should kill them all."

Alexander fell in thought after hearing Daniel's words. After some time he spoke up, " In normal conditions, your suggestion would have held great merit but you are forgetting something. Huang Xiaolong will not become part of our afterlife after his death. His soul belongs to his reincarnator. If we kill him, the cosmic entity will simply put him in another world. As a result, we will have a very motivated enemy coming after us in future. Also, the cosmic entity will not sit quietly after the setback. The only option is to destroy his soul but I cannot be sure if the cosmic entity will be able to put his soul together or not. I will think of a solution to this in future. Let's tell them their fate."

Alexander turned to the assembled people and said, " I have decided that putting you all under such a curse will be too cruel so I have decided on another course of action. A series of formations will be set up around Huang Manor which will make this place separate form the time flow. You will not age inside this place at all. To make sure that you all won't go mad form being isolated and restricted, you all will be put to sleep. When my aim is fulfilled, I will reward you all. Don't worry, I will not kill you all."

Alexander didn't gave them the chance to put forth any questions and put them to sleep using the sleeping charm. Alexander turned to his bodyguards, " Just a few more tasks to accomplish and after that I will go to Desolate Era world. Let's go."

{A DESOLATE PLANET, CENTRAL REGION, BLACK TORTOISE GALAXY}

Alexander and his bodyguards arrived above the planet. Alexander spoke up, " Guard this place till I return." He then, casted the intangibilty spell on himself and sank through the ground.

Daniel, " Who thought that the spell invented by the Great John, will have such a use?"

Li snorted, " Your so-called Great John invented that spell to spy on women in spas. The amount corporal punishment he was awarded by Judicial Department is stuff of legends. He is still undergoing it right now. I have heard that the offended women are planning to once again sue him for individual offense. I don't really pity him. My wife had also used that spa in past. If he had invented that spell a few months prior, I would have killed him. After all, nobody knows on how many women he had spied on."

Sam, " Why don't we use the truth serum on him?"

Jonathan, " We have. That's why he was punished so severely. Simple peeping on some women would have landed him some 20 to 30 lashes per women he peeped on but he went beyond that. He was a demented stalker. The reason he was not caught was because he was quite slippery."

Daniel, " Why did the mandatory laws issued by His Majesty didn't stop him?"

Jonathan, " Not all laws are absolute. Some have loopholes. We cannot expect him to think of all loopholes. That's why the Judicial Department was formed. When a loophole that could be exploited by large number of people is discovered, we inform His Highness and he updates the laws. He just doesn't announce the updation to stop his subjects from thinking more complex ways of avoiding the law. I personally think that it amuses him."

Alexander was speeding through the bedrock by using his spiritual force as a propellor. He had arrived on this desolate planet to take that peerless treasure which gave Huang Xiaolong, the ability to attract and spiritual energy from the void and condense it to form spiritual stones. The grade of spiritual stones formed depended on the level of cultivation. Alexander could think of hundreds of ways to use this abilty. As he moved towards the mantle of the planet, he began to see wisps of green energy floating around him. These wisps were the condensed life force of the planet which was absorbed by the treasure to facilitate it's growth. Alexander didn't pay attention to the wisps as he wanted to absorb the treasure first.

It took him at least five minutes to arrive in the mantle region. Alexander cancelled the intangibilty spell and looked around. The whole mantle region was empty save for the condensed life force of the planet floating around in the form of currents. The core of the planet was a big green ball formed out of the condensed life force. At the center of the core was a orange stone inside which a humanoid fetus was present

For a moment, Alexander hesitated on seeing the fetus but then overcome his misgivings as he thought of the cleverness behind such appearance. He moved forward and placed his hand on the core and started absorbing the concentrated life force of the planet.

As he started absorbing the life force, the midichlorians present inside his cells become hyperactive and started to absorb the incoming life force. Alexander sensed that the midichlorians were evolving to a higher yet still symboitic lifeform. He steadily absorbed the life force while observing the new changes occuring in his body. The evolution of midichlorians made his already strong cells even stronger. The ability of his cells in relation to storing and producing magic upgraded and with it, his hard earned control over his magic went to fubar.

When the absorbtion was complete, a new stream of knowledge entered his brain in relation to the innate ability obtained by the absorbtion of the treasure. Alexander then proceeded to absorb the currents of concentrated life force moving inside the vast cavern made by the crust of the planet. He left the wisps of energy present inside the crust for his bodyguards and moved to the surface with the help of intangibility spell. Alexander was feeling quite relaxed as if a very effective massage was given to him. His entire being was brimming with energy and he was quite happy with his gains.

As an experiment, he made a deep cut on his arm and watched as the wound closed within a second without leaving even a mark. The treasure had increased the already impressive regeneration capabilities of Alexander's body to a massive degree. Alexander reached the surface and cancelled his intangibilty spell to find himself surrounded by his gaping bodyguards.

Alexander asked, " Why are you so shocked?"

Jonathan conjured a mirror and spoke, " You should see for yourself, Your Highness!!!"

Alexander came in front of the mirror and saw a teenager version of himself standing in front of the mirror. It didn't took him a second to know that he had deaged to his teenage years. He was quite perplexed at the new development as Huang Xiaolong had not expreienced changes in his appearance after absorbing the treasure. Alexander, " Looks like the presence of midichlorians in my cells resulted in a greater effect on me. This requires further research."
