Chapter 1: A New Story Begins

It was always easy. Everything was never a challenge. Scarlet understood how life was for her. She was to deep into her life to live the hard life. Even when her parents had told her countless times that she was different. She would never believe it. She didn't want to believe it because deep inside she knew that she didn't want to start a new life and always hear that she was different than everyone else at her school. She is fifteen years old and she had a plan to live the perfect life.

Scarlet was on her bed reading one of many of her books that she had. She had flipped the pages countless times but she felt like every time she flipped a page she would always get farther away from the end of the book.

She was alone in the house with no one to talk to and with no one to call when she needed help. This was the first time she was actually alone in the house. But her parents know she would be safe. Her parents were mostly honest about everything. She know that she had to keep her thoughts to herself or her parents would just find another way to make her wrong about what she thought. She didn't feel so close to her parents, but she felt something was missing. But deep inside she know there was something she needed to find.

Scarlet closed her book after putting the bookmark in her half read page. She went down the steps to find herself in the living room. She sat on the couch and had looked around for a few minutes, judging most of the things she had seen. She tried to listen for a pen drop or a cup shatter on the floor. But all she heard was silence. But soon she had heard a knock on her front door. She looked out the peephole to find a girl that had looked like that same height as her.

She, at first, was confused on what she should do. She had thought if she should say something. But she was old enough to answer the door when she wanted.

Scarlet opened the door "May I help you?" She asked trying to be as nice as possible.

"Hi. I'm Leatha. That's my adopted name. My real name is Autumn Relic. I think you might just be my sister." She said as calmly as she could.

"Sorry. But you've gotten the wrong person. I'm an only child and my name is Scarlet Popper." She said confused.

"Yes I know that. Your Scarlet Popper. But that is your adopted name. Your real name is Spring Relic. Please. Let me take you back to Pennsylvania. There's someone there who can explain everything." Autumn said hoping she would come.

"What? So you want me to leave my whole life behind just like that. No, I'm not going with a stranger who claims to be my sister without showing me any evidence. Now, how about you get off my doorstep before I call someone to make you." She said with a serious tone.

"Wait! I have evidence. Throughout my journey trying to get to understand my life as Autumn Relic, I was also writing in a journal about everything that I had been through. This journal holds everything you need to know and everything I've been through to get here. I'm not some stranger. I'm a person who needs your help and when you read this, you'll understand completely. Oh and this is my number. Please call or text me after reading the journal or even if you don't finish reading the journal. Now, I'll get out of your way." Autumn said handing Scarlet the journal and a strip of paper with her number on it.

Scarlet closed the door locking the locks. She walked up the stairs and walked into her room sitting on her bed. She opened the journal to the first page putting the paper strip in the drawer need to her bed. She started reading the journal.

"Dear Journal,

My mother had just told me now that I am from another planet. Apparently, I have three sisters. I honestly understand why my mother didn't tell me till today. But I need to keep acting as if I am mad. So than when I run away tonight they would think that it was because I was so upset. This is the only way to find my three sisters and understand my role as the wind element. This was the key all along to actually finding myself as a person and a leader. I still can't believe that my planet Ciler was destroyed and that my own mother had died in it's explosion. I'm going to find out why all four kingdoms would surprisingly go to war with each other."

Scarlet didn't understand what she had read. She couldn't say it wasn't true because it was handwritten. But she was arguing in her head if it was just a fiction story, or reality. She was also thinking if she would call or text that girl who had came by her house ten minutes ago. She had never thought so much like this before. Scarlet now knew that she wasn't alone in this life of different. She didn't know what to do. But she knew she couldn't tell her parents about the journal or the girl she had met. If she did they would know she broke her know roles. She wouldn't want to do that. So she had to keep it all from her parents. She would have to find herself as this new person named Spring Relic.
