THE NEXT DAY;
Mordecai and the team all agreed to leave the church since the children were safer here. They said goodbye to the kids who began to cry and headed out of the church along with Deacon Ulric.
The priests and deacons who were outside earlier were still there. However, they seemed to have changed shifts.
Michael was a little distance from the church, where he stood facing the barrier. His face an emotionless mask. He watched the army of supernatural creatures attack the barrier continously even though their attacks just bounced off the barrier and did no damage all.
Viola walked up to him and stood right next to him, calmly gazing at the undead creatures ahead.
"You're really going out there? " Michael spoke up, staring sideways at Viola's face and shifting his eyes back to the undead creatures when he was done looking at her face.
"Hn" She grunted still looking straight ahead.
"Why? I mean you can just stay here. Its safe "
"There's someone out there waiting for me...someone I can't abandon. Someone I need to rescue. "
"Oh...is it someone you love?"
"Yes..Yes, it is." Viola nodded.
"Oh....."
Michael felt disappointed. He had no idea why he felt so unhappy. He turned to Viola and was about to speak when he heard his name being called. "Michael!! ,you have been summoned by the Bishop. "
"The Bishop calls." Viola finally turned to look at Michael. Michael stared at her for a while then, suddenly he turned away and rushed to answer the call with slightly pink ears.
The Bishop stood at the top of the church stairs and turned to address the people Michael who made his way up the stairs.
Michael joined the Bishop at the top of the stairs and turned to face the crowd which were gathered at the foot of the stairs.
"Michael, as you have accepted the great responsibility of defending the church against those evil creatures, I bestow upon you The Armour of God. It will aid you in battle. " The Bishop said and beckoned to a group of priests who were bearing the parts that made up The Armour of God.
