Rriel's Point of view

I stood as I read Opal's diary. She seems like an exciting person, but she holds so much pain and desires to be accepted. I closed my eyes, and they were wondering what she looks like. The more I read, the more I want to know this person. It's almost like I fell in love with her mind.

She was obviously a human, and the diary floated down to the bottom of the ocean. Was she on a boat? How did It get down here? I have so many questions.

I grab a piece of seaweed and pop it into my mouth. Hearing a knock on my door distracts me from my reading. I look up to see my father entering my room. I quickly slid the book under my homemade seaweed pillow.

"Taking it easy tonight?" my father asks.

"Something like that," I laugh.

" I was hoping you'll join me for a walk," he tells me.

I nod my head. Secretly it was the last thing I wanted to do.
