Chapter 31: The trap III

As the assassins lunged at Nitish with deadly precision, he showcased his agility and skill, evading their attacks with careful precision. Alpha and Delta, his trusted and skilled subordinates, observed the battle from a distance. Their faces remained composed, showing no signs of interference. Nitish's frustration grew, and he couldn't hold back his anger any longer.

"Alpha, Delta, why are you just standing there? Help me! We can't let them overpower us!" Nitish shouted, his voice laced with frustration and desperation.

Ayesha, who had been posing as an ally, watched the battle unfold with a wicked smile. Little did she know that Nitish and his subordinates had known about her true identity all along. Alpha and Delta, having uncovered Ayesha's intentions, made a calculated decision not to interfere in the battle.

Minutes turned into hours, yet the battle raged on, with no signs of victory for either side. Nitish's determination and skill were evident, but so were the assassins' relentless pursuit. Ayesha, along with the Paige family, observed from a distance, growing more anxious with each passing moment.

But something seemed amiss. Nitish noticed that the assassins, despite their powerful attacks, were not showing any signs of fatigue. Their faces held a sense of amusement, almost as if they were enjoying the battle rather than seeking his demise. Alpha and Delta, who had been observing closely, exchanged glances, realizing that Nitish had been right all along.

Sensing Nitish's confusion, Ayesha couldn't contain herself any longer. "What's the matter, Nitish? Surprised? You never stood a chance against us assassins!"

Nitish, his eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and confidence, replied calmly, "Oh, Ayesha, you underestimate us. We knew who you were from the start. Alpha and Delta here have been observing your every move, waiting for the right moment to reveal your true intentions."

Ayesha's face contorted with anger and frustration. She had been playing a dangerous game, thinking she could outsmart Nitish and his subordinates. But now, her plan had backfired.

As the assassins paused, Nitish seized the opportunity to address Ayesha and the onlookers. "It's time we put an end to this playacting. Everyone stand down."

With those words, the battle ceased, and Nitish approached Ayesha, his expression stern yet composed. Ayesha, no longer able to maintain her facade, stood there, seething with rage and disbelief.

The Paige family, witnessing the turn of events, couldn't help but express their astonishment. "What was all this about, Nitish? Why did you allow her to attack you?"

Nitish smiled, his gaze never leaving Ayesha. "Sometimes, battles are not just physical confrontations. They can also be mental games. Ayesha believed she had the upper hand, but little did she know, we were a step ahead."

Alpha and Delta stepped forward, their presence a silent reminder of Nitish's support system. "We wanted to expose Ayesha's true intentions, to make her believe she had the advantage. And now, we can deal with her accordingly."

Ayesha, cornered and defeated, finally dropped her charade. She knew she had underestimated Nitish and his team, and now she had to face the consequences.
