The Message

One day the entire world got a message that Earth would be integrated into the Myriad Realms.

They had no clue what that meant for them, but they were told it would be world-altering, that every piece of technology would no longer function, and that in the Myriad Realms only might made right.

Luckily the message came with hope.

The coordinates to a Gate, that would be able to send two hundred people into the myriad realms in order for them to gain a head start before Earth itself was integrated.

The downside was that only two hundred people could be sent and they had to be 15 or younger.

The leading powers worldwide created the largest academy in the world, The Integration Academy.

No one could request to join the academy, you had to be offered up by your parents before birth in return they were given money.

The controlling leaders of the academy had decided that having a family would only come as a distraction and that distractions couldnt be afforded.

They also concluded that they would need people who were highly trained in every category since they didn't know what to expect, and young newborns were able to learn at astounding speeds compared to teenagers.

They also had a time limit for when the Gate would open meaning they couldn't fuck around.

They only accepted the best of the best and if you lagged behind you were kicked from the academy and put into foster care or so they were told.

But one child out of the hundreds of thousands was unique.

Cain was sold to the Academy before he was born and then raised in the academy classes.

Everyone starts at the lowest-ranking classes, otherwise known as newborn classes.

Taught the basics from 1+1 and the ABCs to calc and twenty different languages.

Taught how to kill and butcher their own food, and how to start a fire with nothing but their hands and a twig.

How to hack a computer.

How to put a gun together with their eyes closed.

How to fire a gun.

How to use any melee weapon you could think of, all the way down to a pencil.

Every single inch of the human body.

Every single animal and its biology.

Thousands of different subjects were crammed into their skulls.

All the fluff and bullshit you learned and did in a normal school was cut out.

No naptime, no reading time, no recess.

Those weekly deadlines for learning stuff were turned into one-day deadlines or they were sent to foster care.

Eventually the dumb and the weak were cut out from the program and the ones left were separated into a higher level class.

Eventually, you left the class where you simply learned theory and did everything on private property and moved into a class where you did Missions in a real-world environment.

Dropped into a jungle to survive with your class for a week with nothing but some water and clothes.

Dropped onto an island in the middle of the ocean with nothing, not even clothes.

Dropped into the ocean with nothing but a raft.

Dropped into the desert.

Dropped into Antarctica.

Dropped into the woods full of hungry wolves with nothing but knives.

Dropped into a foreign country.

The missions became harsher and harsher as you got older and moved up class ranks.

Eventually, Cain found himself within the top two hundred candidates of The Integration Academy.

He was forced into a harsher environment once again.

Eventually, the 15-year deadline was coming to a close soon.

After 500 of the top candidates were sent into a private battlefield with 500 of the world's deadliest prisoners the final chosen two hundred to be sent into the Gate were chosen.

The last assignment was hard. Being forced to kill and watching those around you be killed.

But as harsh as it was it wasn't the harshest thing they had been through. They had all felt true suffering before and killing didn't even come close.

Cain stood in line with the rest of the two hundred candidates and looked at his instructor who was about to speak.

The Head instructor was a burly man named Raj who looked more like a beast than a man.

With his Thighs the size of a table and his arms the size of bowling balls it looked like he could snap a tree trunk in half.

Next to Raj was their combat instructor Mosa who was a black African American woman.

Despite her small body, she was fierce like a tiger and no one liked being on her bad side.

Soon Cain heard the deep voice of Raj sound out in the gym with hundreds of highly important people watching behind glass from above.

"Boys and Girls here we are. You are the chosen two hundred candidates to be sent into the Gate. You are the best of the best and have been training your entire lives for this.

Billions of dollars have gone into making you what you are today.

You are the Hope Bringers for everyone on earth.

The gate will open in one month's time, and in that time you will get to know your teammates better as well as keep up your physical training.

Good luck." Raj said the last line with a nod before walking away with a serious face.

Instructor Mosa then stepped out.

"Meet at the dirt track at 0500."

Cain watched as Instructor Mosa walked away and all of the kids looked around at each other.

Cain saw everyone from different races to different ages but in the end, they were all the same.

They would be the two hundred people to step into the gate that led to who knows where.

Cain and the rest went to their sleeping quarters before falling asleep.
