“Good morning, Master Ryan! We’re at your service.” All three hundred Guards were all lined up neatly in the area outside of Stonefall Village.
Behind them was the Guard Barracks, which cast a shadow on everyone, blocking the harsh rays of the sun.
Ryan raised a brow at the sight of the 300 men and turned to Captain Jan and Steward Lewis, who both stood on the side, wearing proud expressions on their faces as if pleased with themselves. He didn’t say anything at first and only looked at the guards standing in attention with silence.
“What do you think, Master Ryan?” Captain Jan asked while running his fingers through his hair. “You’ve made the right decision to approach me and ask for my help—”
“It’s impressive, but it feels very fake.” Ryan sighed as he glanced once more at the Guards with a serious look.
Behind him, Joan stood with the Grimoire in her hands, and true to the book’s nature… it partially revealed to him the thoughts that people had.
