Chapter 62: Secretly in Love

Emil froze. “Mi… ckey.” He muttered. He raised his head and looked at me. “Mi… ckey.” He said, his gaze met mine.

I smiled at him and nodded.

His tears fell. “Mickey…” he said and fell down on his knees. “Mickey…” he called.

“Emil!” I said and went to him. “Emil! Emil!” I called, tapping his cheeks. “Emil! Are you okay?” I asked. I checked his breathing. “Good, he’s still breathing, though it’s faint.” I said and took out the leaf Chris gave me. I took Emil’s arm and wrapped it around my neck as I pulled him up. “Don’t worry.” I spoke and started to walk as I read the writings on the leaf. “I’m taking you out of here.” I told him as we found our way out.

“Emil!” I called and tapped his cheeks as we got out of the underground. We’re not far from the forest behind it. “Emil?” I called. “Emil – " I held his shoulders and shook him awake.
