Chapter 102: Blood

Vincent’s POV

“Okay. So have we reached the lake?” Emil asked, panting.

“I… I think so…” Michele answered, his hands on his knees.

They turned, smiling. “Did we?” they asked, their eyes hopeful.

The Sage grimaced. “I just explained it to you, didn’t I?” he asked. “This is…” he said.

They cut him off.

“Okay! Okay! We get it!” Emil said and collapsed on the floor, crying. “We can’t escape. We won’t reach where the princess is and save her.” he muttered, staring far away. Michele rubbed his back to comfort him.

I sighed. “Anyway, we have to find a way on how to get out of here.” I said.

“I could only agree.” Rio said and threw a fire ball to the fog that appeared. “Damn them. There’s just no end to them.” she clicked her tongue as more fog appeared. “I’ll burn you all!” she yelled.

“We’re just wasting our time and energy fighting them instead of thinking how to get out here.” Michele said and sliced another fog, but it reshaped again. He sighed and sliced it again.
