Chapter 6- Media

"Adrian Randin! New Number 11, Hat Trick! Where were you in the first half of this season."

I contemplated a moment before answering confidently, "The premier league is a war between superpowers and I was stocking up on Nukes!" I flashed a toothy smile at the cameras before walking down the parking lot where, behind a fence, I was met by a young fan.

"Hey Adri!, Hey, you're my favorite, could you sign my cleats!"

"Of course mate!" I signed the boots and ruffled the boy's hair.

"Adri, can we win it this year!?"

"Win what mate, what do you want us to win?"

"Everything we can!" said the boy with enthusiasm, I pulled out my match-worn cleats and pressed them into the boy's hands, "We will win it all!"

The drive home was short and sweet, despite the very packed roads. I parked the car in the apartment's garage walked up a few flights of stairs and entered my apartment. I hit the showers again, the shower directly after the match was just a formality, this was the main scrub. I walked out of the bathroom, groggy and tired and that's when I was hit with a text message.

<Hey Son! What a game, hat trick for United, on your debut, who would've thought eh?> Dad😁

<Yeah Dad, how's mum and Liam, I've been so busy lately!>FB_4life

<we understand Lad, and your mother brother are perfectly fine, I only texted to remind you assign an agent for yourself, check e-mail there some offers.>

<Dad, no one understands me better than you, I want you to do it, not some outsider.>

<Are 99 you sure want this old geezer when will be rated>

<Oh stop it, Dad I'll always need you!>

< I'm only joking son, keep up the hard work, we'll visit you soon!>

<Bye dad, love!>

<Bye son.>

I always felt good when I could talk with Dad, he understood my yearnings and wishes and everything about me, my passion for the ball, that's why I love him.

I went to sleep with a full heart and sleep hit me like a welcome hurricane.

The next day (afternoon):

At training...

"Hey, Rasmus, lob it!"

I received the lob and watched as, our defender who was wearing a red bib unlike the yellow, my team was wearing. I dribbled forward as I watched another youngster of United, Garnacho streaking up the right wing.

Garnacho:

OVR: 79

Pac: 88

sho: 79

dri: 80

pas: 80

phy: 79

def: 75

I threaded the ball past Lindelof on the other team and Garnacho was in the clear I watched as his shot hit the crossbar and rebounded out into the red bib's possession, we had to run back but I waved at Garnacho to say good effort, he was around my age, but was struggling to find a place her, something told me, he would get a chance very soon...

The training match ended with a two-one victory for the yellow team, my team. We dispersed to go to zonal training. The midfielders stuck together and so did the strikers, defenders, and keepers.

Bruno, Mctominay, Eriksen, Casemiro, Amrabat, and I worked together on passing and getting into space. As it turns out my prediction of Bruno's rating was wrong:

Bruno Fernandes: Casemiro:

Pos: CAM, CM POS: CDM,CM

OVR: 88 OVR: 88

Pac: 90 Pac: 83

sho: 90 Sho: 87

dri: 88 dri: 88

pas: 89 pas: 90

phy: 87 phy: 90

def: 83 def; 89

It was lucky Casemiro played Defensive Midfielder, otherwise, I would have no worth in this team, he was out the past match thanks to a last-minute red card in the Chelsea away game, so I couldn't play with him, but he was genuinely a good guy, everyone else was not the best but we gelled like a strong team within another.

We practiced threading the ball and running into space to make sure that our vision and IQ on the field were top-notch, we took part in reaction training and laps to work up stamina for running back and pressing high repeatedly in tough games, and we were improving very well.

We practiced free kicks repeatedly to get the hang of each type of new shot and Onana became quickly bored of watching the ball sail into the net, with no means of stopping it, what a shame. We were eventually all told to break up and focus on individual training, especially muscle conditioning, or areas of the game we were weak in or wanted to get better at.

I wanted to improve my shooting so I strapped on a training tablet on my chest to watch my stat increase. I set up a ball machine to ass me through balls in various positions and angles to increase my shooting stat. I continued until it was 9 pm and the staff was on their knees begging me to go home so they could close up. My 85 shooting had reached 87, but the OVR didn't increase, I realized hat i was being weighed down by that defending stat, I left the training facility with my next target in sight, defense, who should I ask for help? I know just the man, Raphael Varane!
