Jena had become quiet, very quiet, which was very unusual for Ahli to see her like that. But it was not just that was unusual. The glimmer in her eyes had faded and replaced with sorrow with a shadowy regret and guilt.
Ahli felt that he ever saw this before, and he tried to remember when did it happen. Yet, nothing in his memory came up, even though the feeling still lingered inside him.
Her silence went on for a few minutes, a very long period where Ahli waited for her to give more response. And with nothing popping into his mind, it was hard for Ahli to understand the reason for that sadness. Thus he was staring at her continuously, waiting for her to give out the reason for it.
"Babe…" The moment a word came out of her mouth, Ahli reacted to it by responding immediately. "Yes, Jen?"
