Abs

King led us to his inside trampoline park. I wonder if this was here before Miria and John were the owners of the house or they are just fun-loving people.

Whatever the case, it makes this place a kid-paradise.

We took off our shoes and went straight to a parkour course. King made it first try, it didn't surprise me. He had all the time in the world, or his 12-year-old life, to learn this mansion top to bottom and I think he did.

I went after him but failed the monkey bars part. Stupid hands.

"Not the best grip, huh?" King teased me from the finish line.

"'Not the best grip, huh?' Not everyone can be like you, Mr. Six-pack." I rolled my eyes. It was El's turn now.

"You've seen King without his shirt on?" Emy questioned me. She looked hurt but I barely noticed it through my flustered-ness.

"Um- what?! No! I mean, well yes, but other people were there too! I mean, like, we have been alone with his shirt off- oh! But we were jogging… okay, I'm going to stop talking now." I hid my face in my hands.

Question.

Do you find out your little sister's crush then take them and tell her you've seen him with his shirt off? No? Well at that moment I was heavily unaware.

I looked between my fingers and saw El get hit with the spinning thing.

"Emy, it's your turn." I closed my eyes and pushed her forward. Once she jumped across the first obstacle I blew a sigh of relief.

She tried to jump across the foam ball pit but jumped into it instead. That meant it was my turn again.

I tried to focus on the task at hand but near the end of the obstacle course a picture of King jogging without his shirt on came to my mind mid-jump and I missed my footing and fell into King.

"My bad," I mumbled, picking myself up and helping him up too.

"The princess seems to be distracted today. Thinking about Short Stack again?" He asked.

"Who?" If he meant a short stack of pancakes then no, I don't really like pancakes. Sometimes I crave them though.

"Aiden. That home crush of yours." King rolled his eyes.

"No, actually. Emy asked if I'd seen you with your shirt off because I called you Mr. Six-pack and then an image of you without your shirt off came into my head while I was jumping." Why did I just confess that? There's something wrong with me. Normal people wouldn't want anyone to know something that embarrassing yet, here I am spilling my own beans.

"Oh, so you like my abs? If you wanna see my abs all you have to do is ask." He grabbed the bottom of his shirt and started to pull up.

"Let's maybe not show my sisters your abs?" I pushed his shirt back down the same time Emy completed the obstacle course.

"Got it, you'll see them later tonight though." King chuckled.

"See what tonight?" Emy asked from behind me.

"Eek! Nothing! I mean, a movie. Do you want to watch Happy Feet with us?" I tried to cover up King's (dirty) joke.

"You really had to say that with her here?" I turned around and whispered to King.

"Would you have preferred me to say it when we were alone?" King wiggled his eyebrows. Alright, I'm black, but not that black. My face is probably red by now.

"No! I would've preferred you not say it at all!" I blew a frustrated sigh and turned back around to Emy with a smile.

We gave El a pass to skip the monkey bars but she insisted on doing them anyway. In the end, she decided to take the pass and jumped her way to the finish line with the rest of us.

"That was fun." She smiled, out of breath. Aw! Mama's little midget man is so cute!

"It's almost time for dinner, we should get going," King said.

"Yes. Let's go back to where all of our parents are so they can see and hear everything we do." I gave King a side glance.

"On second thought, why don't you girls go check up on your mother while Perky and I stay here and... play." King dragged out the word 'play'.

"Yes, let us girls go check up on our mother while King plays with his inner demon named Perky." I grabbed my little sisters' hands and led them towards the door with King not far behind us laughing.

We stopped at a bathroom to wash our hands before dinner because I try to teach my sisters good habits although I don't practice them.

We arrived at the dinner table to see Mom, Miria, and John already waiting for us.

"Sorry mom, we were having lots of fun and lost track of time." As King said 'fun' he smirked and glanced over at me. I turned my head and inwardly scoffed. We are at a dinner table sir, where is your decency?!

"It's alright. Have you met Ms. Cree yet?" Miria replied. Wow, I thought we were friends Miria, you really just gone let that slip?

"Yes, we met when she arrived but I didn't formally introduce myself." Yea you dummy, cause I intro-kinda-duced you.

"I'm King, nice to meet you, Ms. Cree." King sent her a smile.

"You may call me Kesha, it's nice to meet you too, young man." I almost gagged at that. I'd never heard my mom speak properly, it was so weird.

Then, like any other first meeting between people, it got awkward. The grown-ups made small talk while El and Emy awkwardly looked around anytime they made even the smallest mistake.

Sigh, this could be avoidable.

Sorry, I was listening to a playlist that makes you dance like a stripper so naturally this chapter was a little dirty.
