THE 'GIRL' WHO CRIED WOLF 1 (Ch. 45)

Raven paces briskly down the desolate sidewalk bag in hand as his keen senses zero in on his ardent pursuers. Turning a corner before bolting towards the somewhat crowded, a knife swings past his race connecting with the concrete wall before him, immediately his senses heighten and he lunges running Force through his being, the assailant falls back before pulling a gun with it's silencer on, Raven ducks aside dodging the bullet that flies by moments later,

{Take the shot!, You're body can take the bullet!},

(It's going to fucking hurt!)

{Three more incoming. Do it!}.

Bolting out of his hiding spot he takes the next bullet to the chest recoiling from the impact before pushing forward an using his long reach to kick the gun at the last second to misdirect the next, now displaced a single punch to the plexus leaves the man unconscious. Footsteps follow moments later and Raven picks the gun before holding the man hostage, three men in similar black suits and shades arrive and with little hesitation wastes no time before unloading their clips into the unconscious man pumping him full of holes,

"Shit!, Shit!, Shit!" Raven shouts pedaling back while maintaining a tight hold on the rapidly dying man.

"Silver!"

{I'll scan!, there's an exit be bottom left move!}.

` Raven begin to sprint before turning to see the rapidly dying man on the floor,

{Ten seconds!}, Groaning in reply he rushes back to the man before helping him up and leaning him against the wall,

{What The Hell Are You Doing!!},

(Winning), he replies before closing the mans glazed eyes and picking up his walkie,

"How long?", he whispers harshly,

{To late}, silver replies curtly.

Several men in black suits poor through both routes, Raven turns to the wall before concentrating on the Muscle's from his core down to his feet then sprinting toward's the opposite wall then pushing of against it with strength.

His legs find place and he's up in the air quickly flying towards the second wall, his hand manages to find hold on the apartments metal backdoor stairway. With gunshot going off he pulls himself up before quickly making his way up unto the roof, Raven smashes the roof door handle before making his way down the endles flight of stairs,

"How far can you scan?" He huffs the fatigue begining to catch up with him,

{Tired already?} Silver questions mockingly, {you really don't know how to use this body, i really do need to teach you an Enforcer technique},

(This! Is! Not. the. time!), Chuckling in response silver speaks up in reply,

{Can't you feel it?, They're gone},

(Gone?, Why)

{Switch}, Silver orders

"What?"

{You heared me, switch}, silver states

(But you won't be able to reach me), He replies

{Get to a toilet stall and switch!} Noticing the urgency in Silver's tone he flies down the flight of stairs before bolting towards the nearest store with little reast,

(The other body), Raven calls now just meters from a toilet stall

{I'll pull your consciousness back here should any problen arise},

(Tugg on it first, if i resist stall as long as you can), now inside the men's gents stall he simply wills himself unconscious.

Raven wakes in a white t shirt and joggers before quickly surveying the area. Much to his suprise he finds himself tied to the wooden chair Hide had left in his home, before him, is the man responsible, John James, and to his side, Jimmy James the bastard that'd almost killed him once, quickly surveying his surroundings he quickly picks out six men surrounding the apartment entrance and behind thefather son duo two,

(Eight in total huh),

"Now" the man behind the glasses spoke, his voice every bit as slippery and sly as one would expect, "shall we have a chat?".

Glaring the duo down Raven recalls the mistake that had got him in this position,

A day earlier

Maya heavily focused on her phone seats leisurely, checking the time on her phone,

(It's getting late), she looks up to scan for Becky to find a middle aged man in heavy glasses speaking to her exitedly,

(He looks too old to be flirting with ger though, i'm probably jyst overeating, i should just text Jay incase), walking towards the two the man points at her causing Becky to turn towards her and wak towards her briskly grabbing her by the shoulder,

"Are you o..."

"I'm fine!, Just go take a seat over there okay?" Becky replies tensely, Maya complie but quickly messages Jay frantically on her way back,

Becky turns to the now frowning man as she tries to manage ge situation,

"Are you trying to scam me!?, Are you taking me for a fool!?, You're the one running the account aren't you?" The man calls angrily,

"J..just calm down sir, we run it together, how about we get somewhere more ... private?" she inquires beaming him a smile, reluctantly he acquiesces.

Walking back to Maya she grabs her by the arm,

"Text Jay, act natural" , picking her cue Maya follows along as the three exit the restaurant,

"So you're still in highschool" the man calls trying to start up a conversation with Maya,

"Ye..." Pausing her reply she bolts forward and into the arms of Jay who strains to hold down his glare to the two,

"What the hell i...." The man begins to shout but is quickly interrupted as Becky turns and delivers a blow to his groin, curling on the ground the three maje their way away managing to hold Jay from acting on impulse, Becky realeases a silent sigh as she watches Jay fuss over Maya,

(Thank God it all went well, i get payed and they get a free date, you should be paying me for the easy layup Jayson Ross), they first make their way toward's Maya's place despite her insistence on going to the closest place, Becky's home first.

Jayson bids her farewell as she walks the last stretch alone, with Jayson now out of sight she wastes no time to pull her socks of before sniffing them and scrunching her face,

"This should sell well",

"I knew it!"

Turning she recoils at the sight if the man glaring down at her,

"Really" a voice calls out behind the two, "youre both trash, you two really take Maya for a fool huh?, Did you really think i didn't know!?, She gave you the benefit of the doubt, but you really had the balls to put her in danger!" He growls steam suffling out to match his anger, grabbing the man by the neck as he struggles to free himself,

"Leave Maya alone or I'll kill you myself" he commands before letting the man free as he gasps tenuously for air, "oh and good luck trying to get the cops on your side, who's going to take the side of a high school girl fetish stalker?, I'm sure there's enough braincells in that tin can to tell you'd lose everything, leave!" He bellows as the man scrambles to his fett and away, "and you!" He seethes

"J..j..jay"

"Don't even bother, I'd hand you over to the cops right now, but you remind me of another one just like you", he states the image of Jimmy overlapping with hers momentarily, "stay away from us, all of us" he states before leaving the scattered girl there.

Raven smiles tensely reigning back his festering anger as he stares down the father son duo before him,

"Raven Voss, I'm sure we can come to a suitable agreement" the man states, "I'm sure you're suitably angry and justifyingly so, but i'm also sure seeing your friend go to jail is the kast thing you would want, i'm sure..."

"I've heared enough", Raven interjects, glancing at the principal seated behind his desk,

"One, your son should learn to carry the weight of his decisions, two, i don't think it wise to have potential murderers as friends and lastly with all due respect you both lack respect for the dead sir, the survival of Jarrett dong and i is a one in a million senario, i'm basically a dead man back amongst the living, I don't want your money, and i certainly don't want your money, i want justice!" He concludes,

{Finely done!} Silver states, the principal gives a fanit nod in reply,

"I would implore you to reconsider", Jimmy's father began, "think about your mot... Uck" he stutted as Raven's sudden shift in states unknowing releases his violent intent, the man pauses briefly before beginning to speak only to be interupted.

"That's enough Mr James" the principal called,

"Please, call me John" he replies with a sweet smile, "have a lovely day gentlemen" he states before making his way out,

"You should be car...",

"I know" Raven state interupting the principal before turning to him and giving his thanks.

Exiting the school beneath the setting sun Raven mules momentarily on the desolate grounds before pausing momentarily at the school gates then walking as he would normally,
