Chapter 8; You are playing with fire...
"What an incompetent servant!"
Her voice was cold and chilly as she strode upstairs to her bedroom, she didn't waste a minute more on her, but what surprised her was that her newly wedded husband was reading a book and hadn't slept.
"Woman, where are you coming from?" His voice was rough and emotionless, he knew she hasn't gone to the camp and she had already taken leave.
"Do I have to report to you about everything I do?" She questioned him back as she began stripping naked.
He suddenly appeared in front of her as he held her shoulders and pinned her against the wall.
Xie Mo yelped lightly and frowned, Lai JiCheng gazed at her, since he wasn't a normal human, he already smelt all kinds of smells from her.
There was a scent of herbs and medicine, the smell of infant babies, and other medicinal herbs that wafted out of her clothes, and the light scent of Jasmine that was used to cover up the other scents.
He lightly frowned and raised his head to glance at her while narrowing his eyes dangerously.
She overturned around and pushed him against the wall as she pulled out her gun from the waist and pressed it against his waist.
"You are playing with fire, what I hate the most is people questioning my whereabouts." Her voice was harsh and robotic while she forcefully pinned the gun on him.
He looked into her eyes and he could tell this woman in front of him was unfeeling and cold as ice.
He sighed lightly, it didn't matter he used some tricks to marry her, but still, she wasn't this cold.
"I don't mind playing with fire so long as it's my wife." He raised his hand and caressed her cheeks.
She was feeling flustered and she fell into a stupor, he overturned her and took charge, "what I hate the most is people pointing their guns at me." He had sneakily taken her gun away and he was in control now.
Her front was pressed against the wall as her hands were controlled at her back while a gun was pressed on her neck.
"Not all fires are easily extinguished, others might burn you down into ashes, sending you directly to hell." She woke up from her stupor as she responded.
" It doesn't matter, we can accompany each other in hell too.."
She was in her panties and bra, he kissed her neck and gently nibbled it as he released her, he unloaded the gun and threw the tiny pieces into the drawer.
"Don't repeat this same mistake, don't come into my bedroom with a gun." He lightly warned her as he went back into his bed.
Xie Mo frowned lightly but still walked into the bathroom showered and soon she was dressed in a black bathrobe which was of the same black color and silk material but still looked like 'a couple thing'.
She walked into the bed and laid down at the further end of the bed almost touching the wall.
"I'm not a Man-eating giant so you don't need to squeeze yourself in that tiny space whereas, there's a huge space in between." After saying that he switched the lights off and covered himself as he slept off.
She was like his sleeping pill, but she also soon fell asleep.
The following morning she woke up at 8 am she freshened up and wore a black suit and she had her hair tied up into a bun, she looked elegant and sophisticated.
Going down the stairs she met Lai Jicheng who was having tea in the living room but two officers were accompanying him.
"Good morning Lai Jicheng... Officers.." she settled down and didn't care if they greeted her back.
" Miss we are here to arrest you for intentional assault." The officers stood up as they approached her as she had just sat down opposite them.
She stretched out her hands as she they handcuffed her, Lai Jicheng peeked at her curiously, she didn't look like this situation was shocking or frightening.
"I will hire a lawyer for you." He voiced out his plan, since she was his wife he had to be responsible.
"No need to, I will be out soon, just take care of your business." She was escorted as they walked into the police car.
"Officers, I have a right to call for a lawyer right?" She leaned back comfortably on the hard bench and inquired.
" Yes, Miss..." The female officer responded as she passed her the phone.
Xie Mo received the phone and dialed a private number and it immediately rang, "Hello..." It was answered.
"Lawyer Wang, I need you in 5 minutes at .... " She turned around to face the police officer her eyebrows raised in inquiry.
"Courtroom number four." The police officer informed her as it was early she will be taken to Court immediately.
"Courtroom number four, be there." Her voice was commanding as she hung up the phone call and closed her eyes resting.
Lai Jicheng couldn't sit still so he walked out of the mansion and drove towards the court.
