2 Chapter 2; Let me indulge myself for the last time...

" All right, I will avenge you." Ling Qing held her hand gently promising her, she had no other choice at this moment.

Her green military uniform was already tattered and bloody wet, it was dyed red with the mud too.

Using her last will, Xie Mo held Ling Qing's shirt and dragged her closer, "Let me indulge myself for the last time please Qing Qing..." her voice was incredibly low as she pressed her trembling lips to Ling Qing's.

Ling Qing was caught by surprise, not even once in her entire life did she notice that she liked her.

"Xie Mo.." she narrowed her eyes at her, this was new to her but didn't push her away, she just let her be.

She kissed her back passionately as the metallic taste of blood spread to Ling Qing's mouth, she didn't frown upon it but warmly welcomed it.

Xie Mo let go as she lay on her lap gazing upwards at Ling Qing's eyes, "Ling Qing, I love you."

"Xie Mo, why?" Ling Qing felt heartache for her, she has been around her but she never expressed herself, what made the matter worse, she always thought they were just best friends.

"Lady Marshal, you also have to avenge my sisters who perished in this operation and give them a proper burial if you manage to find their bodies." she changed the topic speaking out formally which tugged Ling Qing off balance.

To her, Ling Qing was everything, the woman she ever loved, the woman she could sacrifice her entire life for.

" All right, I promise that I will avenge you all." Ling Qing glanced at her pale face, even though it was dark, she could still define her looks clearly.

"Ling Qing, I ran away from a wedding, he is a nice man who fell in love with the wrong woman, please protect him as much as you can, he can be your safe harbor." She closed her eyes and breathed for the last time.

"Xie Mo..." She kissed her forehead lightly before placing her down, since they had the same body frame, it wasn't hard to take over her identity.

"Xie Mo, no matter how much you betrayed me I never took it to heart because I know, you are one of a kind who has shielded me from so many storms, I will avenge you Xie Mo, but why didn't you ever talk to me about your feelings?"

She leaned down as she gazed at her calm face and warmly caressed her face, she couldn't tell what was going on in her mind but her lack of expressing herself left her at a loss.

She stood up and straightened her back, having shape-shifting powers, she easily change herself and took over Xie Mo's identity, they looked just identical and you couldn't tell anything was amiss.

She sucked her blood into her body as she had to have her DNA deeper inside her just in case of doubts arose from people.

She was exhausted too after rushing over even though she was severely sick, suddenly she heard a chopper hovering around.

She knew her soldiers must have tracked her down using the locator, she walked outside and using fireworks, she sent the signal knowing it was her chopper.

They landed and a few minutes later Mu Xi and Mu Han walked into the cave hurriedly.

"We are sorry Lady Marshal..." They bent down and went on their knees begging for forgiveness, they might have slacked in their duties but whatever has happened can't be reversed.

" Carry her outside and no one should know whatever happened down here, I also want you to send some of our soldiers to retrieve five more bodies of women wearing the same green uniform, let's go." They walked out of the cave towards the chopper as they boarded and flew away.

Inside the chopper, she removed Xie Mo's uniform and wore it, she became Xie Mo officially while dressing her up with her clothes.

They flew back to her Rose Hills Camp and safely landed.

"Mu Han, you need to put her body in the iced room ..." She instructed and alighted and boarded her Jeep where Mu Xi drove her back to the military and left her at the West Gate Military Camp door.

"Lady Marshal.." Mu Xi worriedly called while eying her, this new identity of hers just looked odd on her, but she signaled him to drive away.

She walked through the entrance gate and got into the Military compound, at the gate there was an inspection officer, she showed her badge and went down to the infirmary limping looking seriously injured.

She found a military doctor who began treating her wounds while she thought of her next plans since she took over Xie Mo's identity.

Since she was the only survivor, she had to put up with an act and nicely maneuver around the Military camp carefully without being suspicious.

She got treated and she went to the Administration Office where reported her predicament and registered her injuries, she also stated that she won't be taking missions for the time being, before going back into her office.

Since she had attained Xie Mo's memories for the recent month, she could easily navigate through the entire place.
