Chapter 13:Anger

Ayanokoji POV

After the midterms had finally ended, I decided to take that time to relax. It was a Sunday and I was laying down on my bed, thinking as usual.

Ah such a peaceful day, what could possibly go wrong?

As soon as the cursed words were said in my head, I heard my phone buzz besides my ear

'Why is it always me?' I thought to myself briefly before I got up and accepted the call from a certain red head

"Ayanokoji, something interesting happened, call Hirata, Horikita and Kushida to meet. This might be important for the class" Sudo said, a development I couldn't have expected in a million years

"Alright, meet at my room in 15 minutes." I said as I sent a text to the people he asked for, the more influential people in the class

Only a few minutes had passed when I heard a bell, someone came that fast?

I looked out of my keyhole as I saw Horikita wearing a very nice looking dress, it was a bit much to wear casually but nothing bad, I opened the door as she walked in

"Kiyotaka, why did you call me to your room? Did you want to talk to me about something?" She said as I nodded

"Wait for the others, this might be important for the class" I said as she asked me in confusion

"Huh? Others? There are other people coming to?" She said as I heard another bell

I went to open the door as I saw Kikyou wearing a nice yellow dress, it seemed to suit her quite well

"Heyo! Kiyo! How's it hangin! You must've grown some courage for calling a girl to your dorm out of nowhere!" Kikyou greeted as casually as she normally does

I sighed at her brazen attitude as she walked in and then froze at the sight of the black haired beauty

"Kiyotaka- w-why is Horikita here?"Kikyou asked awkwardly as I sighed and tried to explain

"There might be some important information, I needed you, Horikita and Hirata here. Let's wait" I said as wait we did, Horikita and Kikyou glared at eachother as Hirata arrived, observing the glaring contest between the two girls

"A-Ayanokoji, why are they both glaring at eachother?" Hirata whispered in my ear as I shrugged, I don't know why they hate eachother

After a while of waiting, sudo finally came, his face was a little bruised, someone had hurt him

"Ayanokoji, you won't believe what happened!" He said as I gestured for him to continue

"I was called to the annex by some guys from class C that are on the basketball team, they tried to start a fight by punching me but I just left not wanting to waste my time. I figured an inter class conflict should be told to you all" he explained as I nodded

This really was a big development. Sudo controlling his temper that well wasn't something I expected this early, regardless I'm proud.

But, the potential for an inter class conflict is worrying to see the least, it would make class D more vulnerable than it already is

I sigh at the sight of what is possibly a lot of trouble, if class C is targeting class D then we can try and take advantage of the situation.

"Alright Sudo, good job on not extending the fight, you didn't stay there at all after they punched you right?" I asked as he nodded

"Yea, I immediately walked away after they threw a punch, why do you ask?" He asked as I hummed

"It might be vital information, I have an idea of what they were planning" I said as everyone looks at me in question

"What exactly do you mean Ayanokoji?" Hirata broke the ice by asking the question on everyone's mind

"Isn't it obvious? Expel sudo to weaken class D." I pointed out the obvious as they looked at me in surprise

"B-but why?" Kikyou asked, surprised at my deduction

"To eliminate class D from the rankings again, they planned or maybe still plan to, frame sudo for assault and get him expelled, it's that plain and simple" I explained as they all looked at me in horror at the revelation

"What do we do if they try to do that then?" Horikita asked with apprehension as I shrugged as I have a lot in the past few weeks now

"If they do then they made a big a mistake. Sudo, was there anyone who was there when you came out of the annex?" I asked as he nodded, this situation couldn't get any better now could it?

"Yes Sakura from our class was there, she even had a camera in her hand, I think she took a photo of me getting punched" sudo said as I almost wanted to laugh, but sadly I couldn't

Everything in this situation is in our favor, I am sure class C realises that, there is no way that they will try anything.

"Everything should be fine, good job sudo, I'm proud of you. Rest well and get going now. Tomorrow is the first of the month and we will get some points for once" I said as they all nodded, making their way out of the door and leaving.

Now all that was left was for us to wait, truly there is no way that someone could go forward with a plan with as many holes as that.

I was about to lay down on my bed again until I heard my bell ring just 10 minutes after they had left. It was Horikita

"Horikita, I thought you had left, why're you here?" I asked as she fiddled a bit with her hair as she said

"I-I just wanted to hang out is all! We're friends aren't we?" She asked as she was seemingly embarrassed

"Yes, Ofcourse, come on in." I gestured for her to come in again as she stepped in and sat down on the ground once again

We sat in silence for about a minute before she spoke,

"Kiyotaka I wanted to ask you something important....." Horikita started as I gestured for her to continue talking as she started

"A-are you o-" she was saying as my door suddenly flew open

"Hah! I knew it! Horikita why are you alone with him!" Kushida of all people busted in.

Hey hey hey, how did she even get in?

"Ah Kiyo! I made a copy of your dorm key when we went to the stationary! Really handy place that is!" Kikyou said, as if she was reading my mind

I made my way towards her and karate chopped her head, lightly Ofcourse

"Owwww, why'd you hit me!" Kikyou exclaimed as I sighed

"Give me the key and don't barge in like that. I value my privacy. Sorry Horikita, we can talk about what you wanted another time" I said as she clenched her fists

It must've been important if it frustrates her that much.

"I-it's alright Kiyotaka, I didn't realise you and Kushida had such a close relationship" she said as Kikyou laughed in her face, having her nice girl persona in full display

"Oh! Horikita Horikita! No need to be jealous! Kiyo and I simply hang out so often and talk so much we just got to know eachother so much!" Kushida said as Horikita gives her a glare colder than the blood of a lizard, it seems she disliked Kushida a lot

I swear, the one thing the whiteroom could never explain even to me would be women. They could teach a course for understanding women for 20 years and I would still be struggling to understand

I let go of my troublesome thoughts as I bring my attention back to matter at hand

" it's enough, no need to be mean to eachother ok? We can go and sleep or do whatever now. Tomorrow feels like it will be a big day" I say as they both listen and then proceed to leave for the day

I sigh at the sight as I think about the developments that seem to be happening, Horikita and Kikyou seem to have a rivalry due to being the head female figures of the class

I don't know how exactly to resolve this without harming one of them so I will just hold back from it.

Ah whatever, let's wait for tomorrow then. What a day that was, in this school things are interesting and hectic, not that I mind that as much as I initially thought I would

I had the realisation I needed a while back, I don't want a peaceful life, I want a life where I can live to the fullest and be happy, that's the life I want.

As I continue to ponder about what I want from my life, I go to sleep, thinking about my wants from life.

The next day

It's the first day of this month, let's see my points.

Still the same as yesterday, it seems no points were deposited. Ah what a pain.

I get ready and make my way to class, knowing about the massive headache I will get from everyone being confused and frustrated.

I made my way to the class as I am immediately approached by Shinohara

"Ayanokoji! Why didn't we receive any points!" She said as the other students also noticed me, I sighed and simply said

"Just wait till Miss Chabashira comes, why did you even expect me to know?" I asked the obvious questions as everyone just looked around, unsure of what to say

Geez, sometimes this hive mentality gets extremely troublesome.

We waited until the queen of sadist's herself made her entrance, she looked at all of us knowing what we were thinking

"There was a problem in the system so everyone is receiving their points a little late" she explained as some students let out a breath of relief while others started yelling and declaring that they deserve compensation

It was a bit before the class calmed down, it seemed she had more to say. And knowing the fact that she has a thing with ruining everyone's days, it isn't going to be good is it?

"Class D will not receive any points for a bit even after the problem is resolved." Miss Chabashira said as the class freaked out

Why. Why did I have to be right? Miss Chabashira is officially a Grade A sadist.

"W-why! We earnt points from the mid terms didn't we!" Ike yelled as everyone looked at miss Chabashira for an answer as she laughed a bit and said

"You all did, but a member of class D has been accused of assault. So the points are currently in suspension due to severity of the accusation." She said as the class started to look around, wondering who it could be

"S-sudo you bastard! I know it has to be you! You violent piece of fucking crap!" Yelled Okitani of all people

He was a slender guy, one of the ones who failed on the quiz at the end of the first month

"I-I swear I didn't do it! Im being framed!" Sudo yelled, basically confirming that he is the one in question

Everyone in the class looks at him in annoyance to even anger

"Stop. Sudo is our classmate and as far as I am concerned. He was framed and we shouldn't make stuff harder for him when it only serves to make things worse for us. Is that clear?" I sternly said, to the whole class as they all look at me nervously

Okitani who had seemed to grow some courage suddenly got up and yelled

"The fuck do we do we get by not yelling at this bastard! Do you understand how shit it is to live without any points!?" Okitani yelled at me as he had visibly gotten red from anger

I can understand his frustrations but taking it out like this isn't right

"I understand, I know that it is extremely frustrating for you to not get points when they were promised especially due to our current conditions. But, sudo hasn't done anything, atleast nothing that has been proved. I believe in my classmate and I think that it would do us much better to help him and get through this together instead of getting in eachothers way, is that alright Okitani?" I explain to him, everyone looks at me in understanding as my little speech seemed to have calmed the class

Okitani also visibly calmed down, regretting his outburst a little as he sat down, looking away from me and sudo

Well atleast that's clear now. I look at miss Chabashira as I ask her the questions I needed

"So when are we meeting with the ones who accused sudo to discuss the incident?" I asked as Miss Chabashira smirked

"We will be meeting tomorrow, I reckon you get your testimonies straight by then. If that's all then I will be leaving" she said as she walked out in her usual smug manner

That woman truly is someone who sometimes gets too much

"Alright, let's focus on class now and me and a few others will clear this up with sudo and the accusers. You all don't need to worry, we will get through this." I said and reaffirmed the classes doubts as they all looked at me and nodded, it seems they are slowly following along

I look at the front of the class as the class starts, Horikita is looking at me, I wonder why?

She did want to talk yesterday maybe it was about this situation, let's get it cleared after class.

After class

It finally the end of the day as I see Horikita waiting for me

"Hey Horikita, did you want to talk?" I asked as she nodded and started

"Yes.... I would prefer if we were to have this later, the trial needs priority for now" she said as I nodded, making my way towards the witness herself

Sakura Airi, an extremely shy girl who seemed to have issues with talking to others.

I walked towards her as she was looking down to her bag, packing it to go home. She looked up and saw me standing there as she made an eep sound and jumped a little

"Take a second to relax, I just needed to talk to you" I said as she nodded, slowly. Taking a deep breath she nods again, this time with a little conviction

"Yes, I heard that you were there when sudo was punched and that you took a photo of it. I would like if you testified for sudo in the trial." I put forward my request as she slowly opened her mouth and hesitated

"I-I-I am n-not exactly sure if I can....." she said as I nodded

"It's alright, I don't want to force you especially if you are this uncomfortable with it. I do wish to ask, is everything alright?" I asked, slightly concerned about her well-being due to the fact that she was very obviously scared of something, no. Someone.

"I-I... I am o-ok with testifying b-but m-my camera is b-broken and I n-need to repair it.... But I can't go to the shop....." she said as I nodded, understanding the problem

"I understand, would it be alright if I came with you? Maybe that could be of help." I said as she looked at me in the eye, peering into the empty void as she nodded

"Y-yes..... I would l-like that..." she said as I nodded at her response

"Alright, come. I will walk you to the store" I said as she nodded, we made our way to the store in a silence that was surprisingly not awkward

Sakura wasn't shy, she was scared. But it seems I was able to help her fear a bit by just understanding her problems a bit

We made our way inside the store as the clerk at the desk looked at Sakura and immediately flashed a creepy smile, Sakura flinched as I immediately moved infront of her and narrowed my eyes at the man

He was a bit taken aback by my presence and gritted his teeth. I understand why she didn't want to fix the camera now.

We made our way to the desk as Sakura hid behind me, scared by the man for obvious reason.

He took a look at the camera and said

"Ah yes, we can have it fixed by tomorrow morning but we will need you to pay upfront and.... Your room number." He said as Sakura's eyes widened in horror

"Alright, here's my room number, just send the receipt to me and I can give it to her later" I said as the clerk looked at me in shock

"A-ah no you can't do tha-" he was saying as I shook my head

"Sakura is alright with it and I just need the receipt for later, isn't that right Sakura?" I flatly asked Sakura as she fiercely nodded

The clerk gritted his teeth in annoyance as we both left the shop

Sakura let out a sigh of relief as she finally spoke once again

"T-thank you Ayanokoji! I don't know what I would've d-done without you" she said as I shook my head

"It's no problem, here. Take my number and call me whenever you have any issues, if you need any help or just need someone to be there for you, I'm available ok?" I said as she took a step back and slowly nodded

"Y-yes..... thank you Ayanokoji" she said with a small smile, a smile I was glad for

We split our ways for the day as I sigh at the developments, hopefully nothing bad happens that makes the situation worse from here on out

I lay down once again, succumbing to the bliss that is sleep.
