I LOVE YOU!

"What?" I asked in pure surprise. Who is getting married? Bong-Soon. I must have heard wrong.

"You haven't checked your phone, did you?" He was right, though. But where is my phone?

"No. I left it on charging but forgot where it is gone."

"She texted you." He said casually and pointed towards the side table. And the phone was lying there. I scratched the back of my head and took it from there.

"Thanks," I said while looking down at the phone screen.

"I'll be going then."

"W-wait, where are you going?"

"I have something to take care of. And..."

"And?"

"I LOVE YOU!" He fled from there without wasting any time. Before I could react, he was gone.

"Did he just say 'I love you'?" I mumbled under my breath. I could feel my cheeks getting hot, and they probably were red.

I adjusted myself to sleep. It was going to be morning in a few hours.

"I love you". I whispered one last time before the deep slumber took me in.

"Ahhh" I screamed, looking at Bong-Soon looking at me closely after I woke up.

"W-WHAT?" She also seemed startled.

"What 'what'? You scared me! Who looks to someone like that?"

"Sorry."

"You don't need to be. I was just startled seeing you so close. What were you doing?"

"Just checking your wounds. They are healing well."

I hit her arm and said, in an enthusiastic tone, "You are getting married, and you just texted me! Not fair. Di-Hee is upset." And with that, I puffed my cheeks to look like what I said.

"Aww! Someone is upset. Here, lemme do something." And she started tickling me. Not harshly but with soft touches.

"Hahaha! Don't. Don't" After that I also started tickling her. For a few good minutes of laughing before Bong-Gi entered for the daily check-up.

We tried to suppress our laughs but failed miserably. He looked at us with a confused expression.

"Wae? Wae? Do I look funny? Am I a joker or someone that you are laughing so hard?" (Wae = Why)

I just shook my head, still laughing. I grabbed my stomach, it started to hurt and tears started to slip from my eyes. But the laughter just increased over time.

After some time, we both calmed down but Bong-Gi's face was still twisted in confusion while he prepared for the check-up.

Seeing him like this, we burst into heart-filled chuckles and he finally opened up.

"Why are you guys laughing continuously?"

"First, I was the reason to start with. Second, seeing your face." Bong-Soon answered and he looked at me. I just shrugged and he did the check-up this time, we were all silent.

I and Bong-Soon looked at each other often and exchanged looks. Meanwhile, Bong-Gi was all oblivious to this act of ours.

When the check-up was all done, he went from the ward silently and we just stared in that direction for a few minutes before again bursting into chuckles.

I wiped the tears that were still there and composed myself.

"So when are you getting married? The text said after two weeks."

"Yeah, then only."

"Which date? Dumbo"

"First get discharged. Then I will tell."

"Aahha! No! Tell me now." I exclaimed while acting like a kid, throwing my hands here and there.

"There, there." She consoled, "First let us decide."

"What!? You haven't decided yet and sent the invitations already."

"It's all Min-Hyunk's idea. He and his typical mind," she said with cute doe eyes but ended up rolling them till she reaching at the end.

"Okay, fine. Now, did he propose to you officially?" I asked with curiosity building inside me.

"Yes," Her cheeks went red and she looked downwards.

"Aww! Someone is getting shy. I see, I see. Tell me in detail." My curiosity knew no limits when she started telling me.

"He first called me and......"

This whole morning went by and it was already time for lunch till she completed and I teased her in the middle.

We went to the hospital's cafeteria and discussed what we will once I get discharged in five days.

Then out of the blue someone covered my eyes from behind and the person seemed somewhat familiar to me.

"Guess who." The voice was of a male and it was well-known to me.

"Andrew!"The name escaped my lips as soon as I recognised the voice.

"Dude! You guessed too soon to even let me have some fun." He whined.

"You are being childish Andrew," I said and he made faces.

"Who is he?" Bong-Soon asked and looked between me and him.

"Ohh, yes. Bong-Soon meet Andrew, he met at the university in the States and he is more like my brother. And Andrew meet Bong-Soon, she is my best friend."

"Ohh, hi," They said in unison followed by our laugh.

We then talked about our school life and Bong-Soon came up with a plan or more like a prank.

She whispered it in our ears and I didn't really like it but surprisingly Andrew agreed.

"We shouldn't be doing this," I spoke my opinion.

"Ohh come on Di-Hee, it will be fun to do so and you will also get a clarification of things."

Then suddenly the voice of Guk-Du came from behind.

"Who is he?"
