Divine Sword Empire, Arriving At The Capital

(Bu Cai POV)

After regaining consciousness, I looked outside and realised that the sun just started to rise again.

Shit.

I swiftly jump out of bed and do my routine extra thoroughly as i may not be able to do it here for a while.

I then get to the hall and sit down at the dining table, both my father and mother were already there hence we began to eat and We talked about a large range of topics however the thing that made me most happy was the fact that father praised me for the good fight I had with Chang Wu and my mother was also surprised by my victory and looked very proud of me.

After breakfast, my parents and I make our way to Nero, My 'Plane' to the royal capital which is called 'Grand Sword City'.

The Trip will be around 2 months of travelling, however I will be fine as an experienced servant will be with me as a guard, as well as, act as a teacher on how to survive in the outside world and to make sure i don't get into trouble.

Said guard was a bulky man, with quite a scary face. He had a short black beard and scruffy hair. Although he looked intimidating and scary he was very kind and was one of my Father's most trusted subordinates, His name is Hou.

He used to be a slave however my father saved him and gave him a new life, hence to repay the favour he swore eternal loyalty and therefore he only has a first name and refused to get a second one in order to remind him of how much of a help my father had been.

Before we both went to get on my father stopped me and gave me a talisman which looked like a peice of paper with some scribbles on it. Although it didn't look impressive, they could be very effective and useful for saving your life.

He Said," Son, although i'm sure you will be fine, this talisman is called, 10,000 mile transferring talisman, It is incredible useful and don't hesitate to use it if you are in danger.

After looking at the Talisman which was definitely costly, I couldn't help but feel touched and gave both my parents one last heartfelt hug before going on Nero and leaving with Hou.

I didn't look back as i was afraid i'd change my mind if i looked at their faces again.

'Divine Sword Empire'

The Empire which has dominated half this World for 100s of thosuands of years.

Although the Royal family's power oppresses almost all living beings, even they cannot completely control the Immense area of land that they held.

The Founder knew this therefore he split the land with his close friends and subordinates, this then caused the rise of the 5 Great Families.

The Ancestors of these Great families were all incredibly powerful figures alongside the Founder, They all had titles of Dukes granted by the king which gave them great respect and admiration. They had a plentiful amount of Cultivation and Mystic Techniques as well as martial arts and treasures which could be shared amongst their descendants and hence land was the only thing that they required to build a a stronghold for them and their family, and once they had it they grew stronger and stronger and eventually disagreements, after generations of prosperity arose, and the families began to stray away from their roots of friendship and trust.

The current situation is such that, They all hold immense pride for their bloodline and nobility, and the once respected and admired families who looked out for the common people, had become power hungry and looked down on the commoners and refused to help them, other than the required amount which left mortals and commoners to barely survive, as they invested more and more into their own family through their own money and corruption of the people.

The 5 Great families are,

The Xu family, which mainly had family members who were talented with the Ice Dao and was the only family that had a purely matriarchal system, they usually did not participate in conflict too much. They are currently 3rd place in strength out of the 5 families.

The Long family, This family was one that pursued purely the Sword Dao, This family was very strict on requirements for the Sword talent of members before they are actually acknowledged, if they do not meet it they are either abandoned, or if it is a female then they are used for political marriages. Long Tian's Father is the current Younger Brother of Duke Long and Long Tian is part of the Family. They are considered the 2nd strongest due to them having quality over quantity and therefore less people than the other familes, however that isn't a small number. (Trust me, Cultivators know how to produce many offspring in an efficient manner)

The Chi Family was one known for it's members who pursued the the Fire Dao and they were quite powerful, however they also had quite short tempers, which lead to them being in many conflicts, hence causing them to be the 4th strongest Family.

The Song family was known for their Medicinal and healing skills, this lead to them being the Family people go to, to sort out any injuries or problems with their health. Although they are labelled as the 'Weakest' they are still incredibly mighty and Most families would try not to offend them as they are not only proficient with medicine which could be great for any issues with injuries, but they were also very good with Alchemy and Poison so it isn't a good idea to look down on them.

The Final Family is the Chen Family, This Family was founded by the Empire's Founder's right hand man, although the relationship is quite tense between the royal family and the great families; the Chen family is an exception. They have been loyal for a long time and have had some great support from the Royal Family due to the multiple generations of political marriage. The Chen Family has talented members in the Sword Dao and Wind Dao which allows them to be swift and agile. The Chen Family is The Strongest Family out of the 5 great families.

However this is not the end to the powerhouse factions in the Divine Sword Empire.

3 Sects exist which are directly opposite to the 5 Great Family's Bloodline only system; They allow everyone in the continent to join them, from beggar to Nobleman, the only factor that matters is Talent.

The three Sects Consist of The Buddhist Sect, This one only has the requirement of following Buddha's teachings and become a Buddhist, It is very powerful, however the Monks are usually peaceful so if you don't act outrageously in front of them they will not impose too much on you.

The next One is the Sky Sword Sect, this sect pursues the pinnacle of the sword just like the Long family, In fact most abandoned Long Family members attempt to go to the Sky Sword Sect, as even though they may be unworthy of the Long Family's standards, the Sky Sword Sect will accept decent Sword cultivators and hence have their requirements less.

The Final Sect, is the Extreme Yin Palace. Like the Xu family, this is also a female Orientated Place where The members cultivate the Ice Dao or Darkness Dao. It is relatively Strong however the only reason it is still standing due to it being slightly weaker than other Factions is due to a mighty figure who is their grand elder, and they also have an incredibly talented member who is the same age as Long Tian and I.

Also it is good to acknowledge the fact that the Families also have branches families and although they are known for one particular Field of the Dao they also have roots and members who cultivate different Daos and it isn't only one single Dao for each Family.

Sects also have subsidiaries, Like the Spirit Sword Sect, where less talented cultivators, or people who are local to it go to, start their path to cultivation.

(Third Person Pov)

(East Entrance, Grand Sword Sect)

In the evening when the sky was starting to transition into night time,

An 8 Year old Boy in clean white robes, could be seen walking through the gates alongside a large Man with a huge physique and casual clothes, the boy looked incredibly tired, yet that couldn't hide complete awe he had when he saw the grandness and size of the place. The boy looked around and took in everything, The bustle of the people who were either there to see or participate in the upcoming youth tournament, To trade or travel, or were just living their lives, they soon made their way to their destination, the nearest inn which was called, Cultivator's Abode.

As Bu Cai and Hou entered the establishment, they immediately went to the counter and asked for a room, no matter the price, The employee behind the counter done as he was told to and they were lead to a relatively expensive room after paying for it, Bu Cai said Goodnight to Hou, and charged into his simple room and went straight to the bath, after he finished his refreshing shower which he had not had in what felt like years, he took out another white robe (Yes, he is a perma white robed individual)and put it one, then went straight to the bed which he felt was tempting him, and lied down comfortably.

He then recalled all his torturous and painful experiences during the 2 month travel to here...

I hope that you can now understand generally what powers and types of individuals are in this world, I tried my best but there will surely be things i overlooked or didn't explain.
