CHAPTER 57 : Impostor

" Are you....an imposter?" Fenrir said as held on to Zahhak tightly.

" Huh...what are you talking about Fenrir...Let go of me." Zahhak tried to forcefully shake him off his body but couldn't .

Instead , Fenrir bit into his legs with his fangs and Zahhak let out a cry.

"Ugh!" said Michelle as she turned back into her original form. She tried to touch Fenrir but he jumped back , avoiding her grip.

*A few hours ago*

"Michelle , I can sense the BlackWings in my garden..." Laila spoke to Michelle softly as she prepared herself for the hectic ritual.

" We may not get this chance again....we need to act." Malak said.

Laila and the rest nodded.

"You need to infiltrate and find out the location of their sensory unit...."

"Leave it to me" Michelle said as her gleam surrounded her and she disappeared.

*Back to present*

" You already know what I am capable of?" Michelle said as her eyed glowed golden.

" Where is Zahhak?" Fenrir asked calmly , a calm demeanour one would not expect from a child his age.

" I took his pendant . " She said as a neon green pendant hung from her hand , " He is already disqualified."

" ..... " Fenrir stayed silent , but his body began to emanate neon green energy as silver , green hair grew out of his body giving him a man-wolf appearance.

" Hoo..." Michelle smiled as she braced herself for the battled , her eyes golden.

Fenrir shot towards her with lightning speed , but as he was about to go for her neck , his fangs bit into a bark of a tree.

He let out a cry and stepped back , Michelle was no where to be found and he found himself trapped in a place unknown to him.

*NOTE FOR READERS : MICHELLE'S TALENT IS ' ILLUSION' . SHE IS A MASTER OF ILLUSION , THOUGH SHE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO TRANSFORM PHYSICALLY INTO ANOTHER , SHE CAN CREATE AN ILLUSION, FOOLING THE MINDS OF HER OPPONENTS. SHE CAN DO THIS TO ANYTHING SHE TOUCHES , SHE MAY MAKE A ROCK LOOK LIKE A TREE AND GIVE THE SENSATION OF IMPACT. FENRIR BIT IN THIN AIR BUT DUE TO THE VISUAL INPUT HIS BODY BELIEVED HE BIT INTO A TREE BARK SO STRONGLY THAT HE FELT THE PAIN.*

"Hahahaha..." Michelle's laughter echoed from the surroundings , Fenrir moved his head left and right but his eyes still remained unable to track her.

He closed his eyes , sharpening his senses . Using the strength of his nose , he created a visual map of the area inside his mind .

*Sniff* *Sniff*

*Swish!!!!*

Fenrir ran like a flash , and bit right into air, but with his eyes closed , he could no longer be fooled .

The illusion broke and he was standing atop Michelle , her right arm still in his fangs.

Fenrir opened his eyes and saw her pendant dangling from her neck . He instantly let go of her arm and bit the thread , only to find his fangs biting into the ground. He had messed up , as the moment he opened his eyes , Michelle had made yet another illusion for him , using which she had escaped from the ground .

*Yosei's - Laila's location"

Laila was sitting on the ground, protected inside the crystal dome created and being guarded by Krystallo. However , with the help of Michelle's illusion, it seemed as if Krystallo was standing next to a set of trees.

"!!!!!"Krystallo , alarmed by the appearance of a gleam , stood in stance , when he saw a Michelled , covered in blood , fall out on to the ground.

"Mi..Michelle! What happened to you!?" he rushed to her side.

" Nothing , I just encountered my...natural enemy.."

Michelle said with a grim smile.

"We took care of the possessed little guy." Batuhan said as he and Jun returned to the team.

" We are almost done here too..." Aleena said , as she stood in open ground , outside a huge wall of pillars of wood.

" Josh and Samuel must be dying after building all of that...." Jun said as he stared at the wall.

" How many layers does it have? " Batuhan asked.

" Three walls..." Aleena said as she touched the pillar of wood held together by red arrows twisting and turning around them, " With Zakiyye at the centre of it..he already started."

"Samuel , Josh and Bow ?" Jun asked.

"They will stay inside and protect their parts of it..." Aleena turned to look at the two brothers , " This is the best we could think of....but it is surely not enough...we are bound to be found in a day and then ...we must fight...with all we have got.."

"Did you find out the location of their sensory unit? " Krystallo asked.

Michelle smiled , " I did....Malak is more than capable of taking care of them."

"What happened to the boy that you..."

" I disqualified him , took his pendant" The pendant dangled in her hands.

"We have to tell Malak the location , he can teleport there immediately and take care of them." Krystallo said as a small speck of light floated in air.

" Let him know , but tell him not to attack tonight." Michelle said as the red moon began to shine its light on the two.

" Why not?"

" The one who is guarding the sensory unit.....is not someone you can meddle with at night.....he would be far too dangerous..." Michelle said with a serious tone.

Somnium sat on a tree branch as the red moon contrasted with his neon green eyes.

" It seems like we were infiltrated sooner than I thought..." Somnium spoke to a shadow ,"But " he continued ,"this will work in our favour , let us turn the tables on them ..."
