Encounter with Barrister Sydney

In less than ten minutes, a car made a loud noise outside the station that the securities had to move close to it, the car parked very well and the driver, Kennedy, came out of the car and sprinted inside the station, he stopped at the reception, he asked in a hurry, "Where's Detective Emily?", the receptionist looked at him skeptically and said, "Please be calm sir, you n...", Emily cuts in, " He's here for me Jean", Kennedy left the receptionist and walked towards Emily who directed him to the interview room. He was settled in the chair opposite Sam and Emily. Sam placed a small device (a recorder) on the table and cleared his throat. "Who is Hailey to you?", Sam asked. " She was my ex", Kennedy said calmly, "How did you meet?", Sam asked again. " We met in high school and we dated for 2years, I had to break up when I was asked to go study abroad", Kennedy explained. Sam flipped the page of his note pad and asked, "You were the last person she was suspected to meet, where is she?", "I can't say that though because the last time I met with her, it was brief because I had an hearing at the court, so I left her at the restaurant we met", Kennedy explained. " She's missing, what do you think happened?", "Hailey told me a lot when we met, she explained to me how abusive her boyfriend gets and recently he's been asking for intimacy which she denied him and that led to another chapter of domestic violence again. Also, Stephen has a record of beating up girls and harassing them afterwards, I sent them to Hailey though my purpose was not to destroy their relationship, it was only to make her careful and be at alert whenever she's with though. Then I left for my hearing, promising to at least a whole day with her when next we meet", Kennedy explained. "Can we also have the evidence you sent to Hailey", Emily piped in and Kennedy nodded. " Write the address of where you two met last", Sam said turning the note pad to Kennedy and he wrote it, Sam said standing up, "We'll call you when we have a lead", they shook hands and Kennedy left with a heavy heart.

Few minutes later, Sam and Emily arrived at the restaurant Kennedy and Hailey met last, they entered presenting their ID cards, Sam went straight to the point, "Do you have CCTV cameras installed in here and outside?", the manager who was attending to them nodded, " Yes we do", she said, leading them to the control room. They entered and Sam assessed the system, he went in search of the date they met and it was seen as Kennedy explained, after few minutes, Hailey received a call and went out but was ushered into a black car with tinted mirrors, obviously with force, Sam was able to see the plate number on the car, he got it down and they left the place.
