Chapter 10 'Me?'

I woke up with a bad headache. I opened my eyes ugh light shined in my eyes it hurt so bad. I saw from the corner of my eye that I was in my room. I closed my eyes again, but then something came to my mind.

"DAD!" I shouted

"You want me to go deaf?" Jayden was sitting on the other side of the bed.

"Where's Vincent?" I asked impatiently.

"I'm here, Pearl" And my father came into my room.

"Dad!!" I ran to my dad and hugged him, but Jayden stopped me.

"You hit your head hard, Aurora you really need to rest." Jayden said seriously.

I found him really annoying. I don't like him.

"How were the Black souls?" Asked Jayden.

"They weren't the Black souls, Jayden." And my dad looked at Jayden on a certain serious expression.

"No .. the ...?!" Jayden stuttered.

"Yes" My father said briefly.

"What are they doing here?" Jayden asked angrily.

My dad pointed his eyes at me. Jayden looked at me.

"Me?" I asked, shocked.

"What do they want with me !? And who are they?"

"We call them the Determiners, they are one of the most ancient and powerful sorcerers and sorcerer esses"

wait !! Sorcerers and witches are real?" I exclaimed terrified.

"Yes ..." said my father.

"Why are they called the Determiners?" I asked curiously.

"And what does that have to do with me?" And I raised an eyebrow

¨Vincent !? Don't say ... " Jayden said, shocked.

"Yes that's exactly what I say" My father said. They both looked at me.

"What's going on here?" I asked anxiously

"Aurora ... you are that person .." said my father.

I swallowed… what I am not a pure person I am not an angel I am not emitting pure light from me… how can this be true?

"Me!?"

"Yes you."

"So that's why the Black souls want me and the sorcerers and witches and other beings?"

"Yes, but I just found out. I knew they wanted you, but not for what."

"And the Determiners told you?" Jayden asked as if it should have been a miracle.

"Not told .." My father said mysteriously.

"Then what?" My father left the room. Jayden followed him.

Should I go after them too? Ah fuck it I'm just going.

They headed for the library and I sneaked after them with my heart pounding like crazy.

"Aurora go away" Jayden turned.

"No can I also know what this is about?"

"No!" He said angrily and he sped up to me and dragged me to my room.

"Stay!" He commanded

"Woof" I said angrily

"Good girl" and he left the room.

I followed him again, but that fool locked the door! I want to know what that is, I know it's in the library anyway.

It took twenty-two minutes to be precise for the door to open again.

I got up and I went to the library.

I was in the library, what was I thinking? The library is huge how on earth can I search for something I don't even know what it is and what it looks like!

"Looking for something?" Jayden leaned in the doorway, looking at me in amusement.

"Yes, I am looking for a book." I used as an excuse

"What kind of book?" And he walked up to me. Jayden was wearing black pants and a white sweater.

"Uhmm ... just an exciting book ..." I stuttered, because he walked up to me like I was his prey. Every time he takes a step in my direction I take a step back.

He takes a step forward, I sat one step back.

He forwards I backwards.

Forwards, backwards.

He took another step forward and I hit a bookshelf and I couldn't go back. He keep walking forward. I have nowhere to go, I am trapped like prey, his prey.

"I know something suitable for you." He says with a grin and he gets closer and closer and closer. He stopped when we were a few inches apart. He leans forward and stretches his arm.

W..what is he going to do?

My heart is pounding like a crazy one, I have the feeling that it will jump out at any moment. Every time my heart beats he grins more.

"Here." And he hands me a book called 'Vampires And Demons.'

And he took a step back.

"This one is exciting," he says with a grin.

¨ O..O ... Okay..¨ I stutter like crazy and sweat like an otter.

He looks at me with a grin and walks away.

That jackass!!! He just did that on purpose!

I threw the book back and went to the kitchen, feeling hungry.

"Stupid Jayden" I kept grumbling.

I was on my way to the kitchen I took a sandwich with some water and went back to my room grumbling.

I walked into my room and I was shocked to death…
