After leaving the roof, I climbed into my room through the window.

Cosmo was nowhere to be found, "Cosmo?" I called in my mind making sure that I was not shouting, after the things he said I don't want to get scolded by a cat again.

Cosmo appeared out of thin air, he looked startled, "what happened? Who is the threat? tell me." he exclaimed, his eyes searching for the non-existent threat in my room.

"Cosmo there is no threat. What are you talking about?" I said, trying to calm him down.

"Then why did you wake me at this ungodly hour? It is not even noon yet," he grumbled, his eyes narrowing at me disapprovingly.

"I just wanted to know if you found out about Artemis," I said feeling guilty that he has been on high alert because of me.

After I told him what happened yesterday, he said he would look for Artemis.

"No, I didn't find anything about mistress. She will be back when we need her, trust me, she knows everything," he replied with a big yawn.

I believe his words when he says that she knows everything.

The problem is that I don't know anything.

"don't call me at this hour again, if you are not dying. I need my beauty sleep; how do you think I stay this handsome?" Cosmo declared; his tone laced with self-importance as he nonchalantly licked his paw.

I shook my head, a mixture of amusement and exasperation washing over me. Letting out a heavy sigh, I marveled at his audacity.

He doesn't even care that he is talking to a literal princess.

A knock sounded startling me out of my musing.

My brows furrowed, confused, I stared at the door.

Who could be at my door at this hour?

I went to open the door, to find a maid waiting at the door.

It was unusual as they have never disturbed me at this hour and most of the maids don't even come closer to me because of Artemis.

"What is it?" I asked her, she looks younger than all the other maids I have seen. Her curious eyes stared at me, then shaking her head, she lowered her gaze,

"The head wizard of the tower called for you," she said, making my frown even deeper,

"Do you know why he is calling me?" I asked concerned about this sudden interest in me.

"All the wizards are gathered below for the princess's birthday miss," she replied, her eyes looking everywhere but at me.

I sighed in relief at that. I was so worried for a moment there, wondering if they found something about me.

"I'll be there. You can go." she scurried away. I don't know why but all the maids are afraid of Artemis, so they don't snoop around my room and bring me food on time.

I wanted to assure them to not be afraid of me, but I think it is better this way.
