[Mature Content] Khalifa Fei, a famed water mage, suddenly woke up into a stupidly enjoyable book about the undead. Although she transmigrated into a cannon fodder who didn't even have a name in the book... she really didn't mind. After all, how could she possibly miss watching the book she liked in the flesh?? What she didn't expect was that there would be so many... distractions along the way. Would she even be able to prepare properly with all these men pulling her to bed? #Space #Magic #ReverseHarem #Polyandry #zombies #apocalypse #Transmigration #R18 #Smut CHECK OUT IMAGES on my KoFi page www.ko-fi.com/heatherreader
More and more people caught the flu, and there was a worldwide lockdown that happened.
Chris was trapped in another city and the couple could only say love words through video calls.
Then one day, like a massive switch was flicked, the world completely changed.
Overnight, half of the population died and transformed to flesh eating zombies, turning the whole world into a purgatory.
Clara was in her dormitory at the time, and could not contact her parents.
Several chapters were decicated to their escape. They also came across the unnamed roommate along with a few other people running away.
But a lot of zombies were attracted and they had to close the door to the gymnasium.
Mira closed it earlier than needed, keeping out many people, including their unnamed roommate, who could've easily gone through.
This was followed by survival stories, as well as the conflicts amongst survivors for the increasingly limited food and resources.
When the group ran out of food, Clara was one of the unlucky people to draw the short end of the straw, and find food for the team with a few others.
Of course, her two friends remained in the group as 'hostages'.
It was quite a thrilling part where the heroine did her best to be able to escape the monsters and go to the food.
Sadly, she was powerless in the end and she almost died with her companions.
This is where the other male lead, Ryo, entered, like a hero.
The group were soon rescued by the other male leads group of soldiers, and almost immediately this male lead showed a vague favor for the female lead.
There were also several chapters where she was rescued by him many times, and her good impression of him grew.
Of course, at this point it was still a friendly sort of favor. The female lead had a loyal personality and wouldn't betray her lover so easily.
They even went adventuring alone as he helped and accompanied her to go to her house to see her parents, though only to see them trying to eat her instead.
She cried in pain and he hugged her in comfort. (Khalia also shed a few tears). And they only became ambiguous starting that time.
It took them about a week to arrive in a safe base built by the military.
At this point, some people, including the heroine, awakened superpowers.
Initially, only 10% obtained powers and after a few weeks, some more awakened after surviving a bite.
This number, combined with the ratio of ordinary people decreasing due to their easy deaths, the supernatural people reached a much higher ratio—about a third of the surviving population were superpowers after about a year.
These people lived much better than the others.
Mira was not one of these blessed people, and it twisted her already twisted personality even deeper.
Taking advantage of Clara and living a decent life, she schemed against her behind her back again and again throughout the story.
She was kicked out by Ryo when she almost succeeded in getting Clara killed.
But like a cockroach, she survived long enough to encounter Chris, who had been desperately trying to get back to his girlfriend.
She told her negative things and emphasized Clara's new relationship.
Chris ignored her and didn't rescue her when she needed, she died in bitterness. Khalia clapped at this scene.
Chris believed in the heroine, and was heartbroken when they finally met and he noticed her feelings for another man.
Plenty of misunderstandings and drama occurred in the middle, at the same time parallel plots of dealing with zombies were included, like a side plot.
When Clara almost died (again) the two men finally found compromise and decided to share.
The story ended with defeating the largest zombie tide by far, showcasing hope that humans could handle this next era.
In retrospect, the story wasn't that special. But it was her first apocalypse novel, so it etched a special place in her bookish heart.
The book described the event would happen during their final exams. So this meant she had less than 2 months before it started.
This wasn't much of a problem until... she realized: the magic elements in the atmosphere were way too thin!
At this thought she abruptly sat up, face pale.
Fortunately, the girls had already gone to bed at this point and she didn't startle anyone.
She concentrated and tried again.
None.
If an inferior plane could still have specks, this place barely even had an iota!
She couldn't use magic yet!
Her body was also weak. Just running a few hundred meters and she had a feeling she'd be gasping for air.
And, perhaps more important,…she had no money!!
She touched the drop birthmark on her navel to see her space if her things were there and... empty!
None! Her decades of collections and riches... gone!!!
The space itself was even reduced to only about a hundred cubic meters!
She looked around and one square meter of plantable black soil was left!!!
What a tragedy!
To hell with following the plotline eating popcorn, she may not even have coarse bread to eat!
What could she do?!
She opened her phone to search 'fastest way to make big money', and studied it thoroughly.
She considered her current resources and conditions and time there was no way...
She'll have to find someone rich to scam... er... partner with.
