Len scoffed. "Little? That 'little' cousin of yours is vicious. If En and I are stray cats, she's a ravenous wolf or a rabid dog. Although, I would say wolf fits better. She leads a pack to take down her prey."

Randy frowned. "What did she do to you?"

"And why should I tell you? It happened more than three years ago, anyway."

"Telling me won't change that it happened, but it can still help. It might give you more room in your brain for other things. Happier things if you're lucky."

She huffed, pressing her head against the window. Len closed her eyes. "Like anyone can understand me. Ivy is the closest one and yet..."

Randy reached his hand out but stopped. He wasn't sure if Len would like being touched. She didn't have what the Cats had, but even those without such stuff hated being touched, too.

"You know, you remind me a little of myself," Randy mumbled.
