Cole smiled at Cy. "Thanks for the coffee, honey."

The puppy reared her head and gave a confused bark.

Cy giggled. "Not you, puppy!"

Cole furrowed his eyebrows. "I wonder where Randy is. Normally he's here by now, wolfing down his food." He glanced at the platter of eggs and bacon.

Cy cracked a smile. "Worried about him?"

Cole scoffed. "As if!"

People his size generally had large appetites. It was concerning that he wasn't really eating. Could that have been part of why he was so cranky that day?

"I think he'll let us know if he needs help making food," Cy said.

"I wouldn't be so sure of that," Cole said. "Didn't Maggie say that that guy's brother was terrible at that?"

Cy grimaced. "He was. I don't know if it had to do with his autism or if he just had no clue when he was hungry."

"How was that kid able to get by by himself as long as he did?"

"From what lsa and I saw, he was raiding trash cans."
