Bad Boys Don't Lie

Scrambling out of the dorm to get to class class, you cussed under your breath. You rarely ever did too. "Fuck! I'm late! That stupid Kevin could have at least woken me up!"

Even though Kevin, your new roommate, was to-die-for, he had a serious attitude.

"And I thought I was annoying!"

You pushed the door to your first class, hoping no one would notice you. Creeping quietly towards an empty seat in the corner, you froze.

"Miss. I hope you will be able to join us on time from now on. Please have a seat and expect to be called upon." Professor Kimjae half looked and turned to you as he wrote on the chalk board.

"Yes, Professor." You shrugged into your seat with a slump. "Way to start the semester. Annoying roommate, a professor who is on my ass for being late on the first day. What next, elephants falling from the sky with ballet slippers on?!" The class snickered and made a couple of jokes at you too. Not exactly checking out who was in the class, you spotted a familiar figure from the other side of the classroom. Fudge. Kevin freakin' who. Even his name's annoying to say! Make it who instead would ya? You half glared, half shot laser beam eyes at him across the room. He didn't even look at you, as if you weren't even there.

" Are you taking down these notes?"

"Why, yes! Yes!" You frantically scribbled down as many things as you could see on the board onto the notebook you had thrown open in a hurry. As the class neared to an end, your hand was cramped. "Ouch!" You shook your hand back and forth.

"Nice way to start class, eh?" It was your friend, giving you a shove in the shoulder.

"Whatever." Giving her a glare, she only laughed aloud.

"Hey, have you noticed that guy over there? That really hot and cool guy?" Curious to who she was referring to, you were shocked once you followed her gaze and cut her off.

"Heck no. He's a nightmare! I've only had him as a roommate for less than 24 hours and I already hate him!"

"WHAT? You have him as a ROOMMATE? Oh my god! You shouldn't be complaining! I have like a geeky, nosy girl as my roommate! I'd trade with you any time!" You scoffed at her.

"Sure. Wait 'til you see his attitude and then tell me." The bell rang. "See ya later."

As the day flew by, you realized that Kevin was in all of your classes. Meaning you had to see him about, say, every other second. "Do I like, owe him from a past lifetime or what?!" You ignored his presence whenever he passed by you or even glanced at you for like a millisecond. Kevin didn't participate much, but he still did and you could literally hear and see all the girls swooning over him. He was all the talk you ever heard the entire day. Right. He's so smart and good looking now that I have to hear about him all day too. What else is new? At last, your last class had come to an end. You hit the door first when the bell rang and went to your dorm first thing. Throwing your stuff on the floor and bed, you went for a quick shower in the bathroom. When you stepped out, Kevin was lying on his bed reading a book.

"So smart, huh?" You muttered as you passed him glumly.

"What's that?"

"Nothing okay? Just go back to reading your damn book alright?" You stared at him with the coldest eyes ever. His eyes flashed, just for a second, where you thought you saw something you never thought you'd see from a guy like him, but it was gone before you could get a better look. Must've been hallucinating. Gotta drop drinking so much.

"Whatever. Just don't talk to me." Kevin turned his face towards the wall.

"I won't so no need to worry about that." You jumped into bed and pulled the cover over your face. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
