Chamber

(Valkyr's POV)

Soon after they began walking down the tunnel Val collapsed to the ground panting and grunting in pain. Edgar quickly rushed over to help him as Val heard someone speaking while he felt a burning feeling on his chest. [You who meddles in my affairs shall bear the mark of my curse. Bring me what I desire before the mark of life shatters. If you fail this then your life will be mine forevermore.] After around 5 minutes the burning finally stopped as Edar helped him up from the ground. 

I guess you were just marked, Edgar said. Seems like you are now part of this. I am really sorry but I knew you could help us out.

With a sigh Val just looked at Edgar before speaking. "Well my brother was marked too and you are lucky I was already looking into it. Now let's keep walking, you might as well show me everything that has been discovered." 

Deciding to not make Val mad Edgar just nodded before continuing to lead Val down the tunnel. After around 10 minutes of walking down the slope they came out into a large chamber. Standing in the middle of the room Val looked around. There were 6 tunnels leading out with different images of Egyptian gods over each tunnel and there was a locked door leading somewhere else. In the middle of the room there was a raised dais with a large pool of water in the center. There were 6 panels along the dais which faced each tunnel. 

"Do you know how many people were marked?"

If we include you and your brother there are currently 6. Why do you ask? Do you think it would let us open the door to go further? 

"Well there are 6 tunnels, 6 panels and 6 different houses so yeah probably. I think it was originally supposed to be 1 person for each house but with mine and my brother's arrival we seemed to have messed it up." 

That would make sense since one of us used to stay at house Anubis before being moved to house Thoth. There is also one girl from house Isis. 

"It is possible that 2 other people will be marked. Since there was one for house Thoth, Anubis, Ra, and Isis then it is just Baset and Sekhmet left. We should probably look for the other 2 people and bring them here if they exist."

We can do a search for the other 2 during classes tomorrow. Since there are 4 of us we can split up to cover more ground. Edgar and Val thought of ways to find the other members since it seemed like they would be needed. As they thought they heard 2 people walking down one of the tunnels and getting closer to the two of them. Soon after they saw the two people step out of the tunnel and into the chamber.

"Well fancy seeing you here Isaac, did you also get a roommate with the symbol?"

Yep and after we got marked he brought me here Isaac said while sighing. So you mind catching me up on what this area is?

"Honestly I'm not sure but it seems like two people from the other houses are missing since there is a member from Isis and also the guy who led you here was from house Anubis."

Y'know all of this seems similar to a TV show I used to watch, Isaac said. Let me guess the headmaster is trying to find the artifact to gain immortality. 

How did you know?! Edgar and Luke said at the same time while looking shocked. 

"It's just a simple evil villain motive. Also we felt the evil feeling he gave off."

Val, you are saying too much, Isaac whispered. They don't need to know that. At least not until we know we can trust them.

"You're right, sorry, I forgot about it and just spoke."

Hey what are you two whispering about Edgar asked. 

Just talking about how we can help since we have a special set of skills Isaac said.

"We should probably head back before people start looking for us. Also we have classes tomorrow."

All of them soon went back through the tunnels while Edgar and Val discussed their plans for tomorrow. They shared their plan with Luke and Isaac before they left making sure the two of them made sure to keep an eye out for the other 2 members. Once they got back they had a quick dinner before taking a shower to wash off all of the dust from the tunnel. Finally they went to their room to sleep although once Edgar fell asleep Val began to meditate and work towards opening the 2nd seal. He and Isaac found that they could use the energy from the seal unlocked on their one hand and channel it towards their other hand to help speed up the cleansing process. It helped them progress faster but it drained their stored energy which would take awhile to regain so they had to decide if they should speed it up or save their origin energy to cast spells they might need. They both decided to not use up all of their energy but use most of it since once they opened the 2nd seal their energy storage would be doubled.
