Trenton Smith fell silent for a moment, stroking her face, "Go to sleep."

Norris Moore lay in his arms, her eyes closed.

Outside, the autumn raindrops tapped gently against the windowsill, and the entire world fell silent, much like her own dead and withered heart.

When Norris woke, Trenton hadn't left yet.

The tall, handsome man stood with his back to her, getting dressed. The morning sun fell upon a small part of his face, accentuating his dazzling beauty.

Norris walked over barefoot, grabbing a tie from the hanger. As she raised her hand to fasten it around his neck, she gazed at the man's mesmerizing face and asked softly, "When do you think you'll be back this time? Like last time, about a week?"

Trenton raised his hand to smooth her hair, "More or less."

Noris finished adjusting the tie, then admired and smiled, "I'll wait for you at home then."

Trenton lowered his head to kiss her lips gently, their breaths mingling. He whispered, "Good girl."
