Chapter 4: party where it all begins

"I can't believe they actually let me come to the party, mean how did you convince them ?Are you my secret sibling or something?"you know you can tell me anything,"said Ella to Cliff with a small grin on her face that lit up from her excitement for been allowed to stay out all night at a party ."Well that's such high faith you had in me young lady,"replied Cliff who tried so hard not to roll his eyes after hearing her say that since she had basically begged him to plead with her parents for permission."Well it's just I don't understand how you did it considering how traditional and strict my parents usually are and speaking of which I thought you were supposed to come with someone to the part,"replied Ella still brimming with happiness at a first "legal' attendance party."Well I promised them to stay with you all night long and for the person I was to go with they cancelled last minute,"Cliff replied with clear annoyance in his voice from the chatterbox who'd literally not stop talking.

As she was about to question why ,he gave her a cold glare that shut her off and motioned for her to get into the car which her parents had lent them to drive to the party as he didn't own a car.The drive was quite silent each of them immersed in different thoughts one about a great night ahead and the other the cold expression on his face was quite unreadable but really dictated not so good thoughts.With music playing in the background Cliff stopped by a gas station and left the car to refill .Ella who was still in the car did not notice the man whom he met up with nor that he took longer than needed to do a refill as she was still in her own world a mistake that would cost a whole nation.

Getting back in the car , the two continued on with the journey to the party maintaining the same quite atmosphere in the car.

"Ella !I thought you would not come .Did you sneak out?"asked Ava Ella's girlfriend as soon as she saw her alight from the vehicle."Oh hey babe am also good how are you? I mean I thought you were going to be excited from my surprise but turns out I was wrong ,"Ella replied to her girlfriend in a slightly annoyed voice from her reaction."Hey chill out I mean I was just too suprised you know but I am excited to see you .It's just you to me you weren't coming I was actually planning on leaving early,"Ava shot back while giving Ella a big hug and a kiss while also taking advantage of her by grabbing her ass since Ella was a bit inexperienced when it came to dating.

With a dry cough Ella tried masking her embarrassment as her face turned red as she remembered that Cliff was still watching them .After some brief greating between the two who really interacted due to Ella ,Ava led them inside whereby security was not that tight and there was basically no one checking anything since it was an all friends party and not many people knew details about the party.Inside Ella left to be with her girlfriend leaving Cliff alone who just picked a random seat In a corner and continued to just observe things .

The party was full of rich teenagers who had expensive jewelry and were indulging In all types of drugs from alcohol, marijuana vaping and also some hard drugs .The music was also so loud but no one was really dancing but there were many snapping photos of themselves and the atmosphere was just like that of a teenage party.Cliff seated at a corner still observing everything and was really not quite interested in anything and as he sat there motionless he really seemed to be invisible as no one seemed to notice him or that he occasionally time to time would mumble something that would get quite mistaken for singing.

As time went on midnight quickly approached and by then everyone had arrived and party had been going on for around two hours.
