"You could have still offered me your dumb deal without breaking my bracelet!" I scowled at him, fisting my hand. If it wasn't for his daughter being here, I didn't know what I was going to do.

"My deal needed your bracelet gone." He stood up before picking Zuri up.

"Do you realize what you have just done?" My darkest nightmare was unfolding right in front of me, and there was nothing I could do about it.

"I do. I really do, Kamaria, and I know you won't see it today nor tomorrow, but you will thank me some days. Trust me." I laughed at his words. Trust. I didn't think I'd dare to do that again.

"I know that this is hard times to trust. Think of it this way; no harm will come to you because if it does, it puts Zuri in danger. And I won't like that. So if that gives you any security-"
