Present Day (Part Two)

"Tae!" A young prince from another country - the youngest of six sons, by the name of Jungkook - ran into the room when he'd received the news. He'd met Tae in the woods only one week ago, but had already fell for his beauty and charm. He believed he would be the one to break the curse as he rushed to his side, almost not noticing Kali's presence there.

"Oh, please, by all means...be my guest" Kali spoke calmly, completely unfazed as she did not believe this would work.

She stepped coolly out of his way and into a cozy corner of the room, where she watched the young prince lay a soft kiss upon the sleeping prince.

Low and behold, just as she predicted, nothing happened.

"You fell into the gifts placed upon him as a baby: beauty, charm, and everyone who meets him will love him...."

She scoffed ever so softly.

"Love from a spell is not true at all, not that such a thing even exists in the first place. Moreover, though, it must be mutual. You were crazy to believe that such a thing could blossom in only one week's time." A dark chuckle reverberated in the back of her throat, portraying her amusement over this situation.

"I do admire your attempt, though...even if your hopes were pitiful and misplaced" Kali's lips curled up beautifully into a gentle smile, fitting neither the situation nor the dark glint in her eyes. Surely, that was the most taunting look someone could ever have received in such a situation.

Just how cruel could she be?

"I do wish you a nice life, though. I have nothing against you, personally, so don't take this little embarrassment to heart." The nonchalance in her tone was undoubtedly unsettling, considering the severity of the current situation.

"What happened to you?" Jungkook's features contorted into a mixture of pain and disgust.

"I saw you one week ago with him and you appeared to be the closest of friends. You appeared so happy and, why...I dare say he loved you. He told me how you two grew up together and- did that mean nothing to you? Are you some sort of jealous attention seeker, or is your heart so dark that you can't feel remorse? If you really are that good of an actress, then the world may be a more cruel place than I'd thought." He all but spat out.

He knew nothing, so, of course...he understood nothing, as well.

"Was that all just a lie? That's such a cruel deed for a maiden so fair. Haven't you ever allowed yourself to feel any sort of light? Living with such a strong light, how have you stayed in the dark? Haven't you ever felt warm...even once?"

Prince Jungkook refused to believe that there was a darkness so intense that it was immune to Prince Tae-Hyung's light. He couldn't bare the thought of that being true, and so he held onto the hope that there is just something he's missing here.
