Witnessing the fight between me and Yagura, the mist Shinobi lost their will to fight after his defeat and surrendered to the resistance. Akihiro Terumi and Hiroshi were clearing out the remaining opposition. As both of them were busy with things, Akihiro asked Mei to take me on a tour of the village.

Thus Mei became my guide and I was just strolling around in the village. She took me to many places with great seafood. She lost her flirting nature and blushed many times seeing me eat. I was not dense like some MC's that didn't get the meaning. I also enjoyed the date with her. She was cute while she blushed.

As we were walking around, I saw a street vendor selling meat skewers. Mei looked at the skewers and licked her lips. Seeing this, I went ahead and purchased some and we started eating them as we walked. 'Damn she's hot' this was all that war running in my mind seeing her eat the skewers. She was young and not as old in the anime.

We lost track as we were eating the skewers and walked. We reached the outskirts of the village and I felt the temperature get colder all of a sudden. I sensed some chakra along with the wind and held Mei's hand getting ready for an Ambush. Mei seeing me hold her hands, blushed and lowered her head.

I activated the Tenseigan to scan the surroundings and was surprised to find a small child around four years old sitting near a garbage pile covered in a torn up blanket. I also saw the kid releasing chakra into the air unknowingly which reduced the temperature. Seeing this, I let my guard down and went towards the kid still holding Mei's hands.

We both went towards the kid and I spoke "Are you hungry kid?" The kid slightly revealed its face from under the torn blanket. Looking at the kid, who had a pale face, malnourished and looked like a four year old girl. I took some meat skewers and handed it to her. She slowly approached me and took the skewers and gobbled them up.

I smiled at the kid and asked "What's your name child?" The kid turned towards me as she said "My name is Haku." As soon as I heard that name, heard started turning in my head as I remembered him from the anime. I always thought that Haku's death was sad in the anime.

Shaking my head out of thoughts, I kneeled down in front of him and spoke "Haku, do you wish to come with me? I'll make sure you never starve again and make you strong." Hearing my words, tears started flowing from his face as he nodded. Mei who was witnessing everything also bent down and hugged the kid.

After that, we took him to a clothes store to get him some good clothes. Mei went to help him changed and boy was she surprised when she came out of the dressing room. She said "Haku is a boy I couldn't believe my eyes." I laughed hard hearing her. Seeing me laugh, Mei asked "Did you know?" I nodded and Mei blushed because I knew and she misunderstood.

After getting some clothes, I spoke "Haku, you are from Yuki clan right. Can you use Ice release? I sensed your chakra mixing in the air earlier". Haku was terrified hearing me say ice release. I then patted his head and spoke "Don't worry. I won't hurt you for having a kekkei genkai. In fact, I defeated Yagura who was the one hunting you guys."

Hearing me, Haku calmed down and told us his story and finished saying "Yes. I can use Ice, but I can't control it properly. I can only move little ice to make shapes". I nodded and said "It's great for a kid your age Haku. I'll teach you to control it and take you to a place where you can make friends and enjoy your childhood".

Mei was sad as she heard that Haku's own father killed his mother and also tried to kill him. She then got angry at Yagura who was now tied up and placed in an underground cell with many seals around it. I looked at her and patted her head "It's Ok Mei. We have already dealt with him." Mei nodded.

We then continued to roam around different places along with Haku. I carried him on my shoulder as I do to any other kid. I also teased him something and he started warming up to us. Mei seeing Haku starting to become cheerful again like any kid his age said "You are good with kids". I nodded "I always liked kids."

I looked at her and continued "I also want to have many children of my own some day". Hearing me, she lowered her head and blushed. I also heard her murmuring "Many children ....many children ". I smiled seeing her actions and we started going back to the Resistance base.

As we entered the base, Akihiro saw us and asked with a playful face "Ah! You have only been gone for a day. How did you two get a kid so big so soon?" Mei hearing her father blushed hard as she yelled "FATHER". Me and Akihiro laughed. Mei seeing is laugh ran away inside. I was surprised to see that her character made a 180 degree turn after she really became interested in me.
