Five people are walking in the dark alley.

Sitting in a tea room, Hua Minghai sat on a chair and said, "Welcome to my humble abode."

Yu Long smiled, "Quite a nice place you have here."

"I bet the people you robbed would have never thought you'd live in the same neighborhood as them."

"They are." Hua Minghai laughed a little. "While they are busy chasing my afterimages, I enjoyed their riches in my home."

'Damn. What an evil man!' Hong Guan and Chu Yueli thought at the same time.

Lily's eyes sparkled as she commented, "I think we can be good friends with each other, Hua Minghai."

"By the way, my name is Lily. I'm one of the Shadow Brides. Code Name: Fawning Owl." 

"You think so?" Hua Minghai was surprised.

Why did this young lady look excited for some reason? What a weird development.

Lily cleared her throat and added, "Ehem, have you ever heard of money laundering?"

"Hoh, go on..." Hua Minghai put on a curious look.

Hong Guan and Chu Yueli glanced at each other, feeling the chaos that was about to happen.

Yu Long checked the courtyard and sensed a weak life force in the nearby room. He frowned slightly and discovered a cold poison enough to kill many profound practitioners.

As Hua Minghai and Lily discussed business, Yu Long finally opened his mouth and questioned. "Is the woman in the third room okay? I assumed that the cold poison in her body wasn't a mistake."

Yu Long acknowledged Hua Minghai's effort to keep his wife alive by feeding her rare treasures and medicines that extend one's lifespan and cleanse the cold energy.

Even the leaders of 1st class sects in the area don't have such luxury, with the Divine Phoenix Sect being the exception.

On top of that, Yu Long also noticed that Ru Xiaoya's physique changed due to the constant feeding of medicine. She couldn't even absorb all of them, which caused her body to become more like a tonic.

"You're cured, Xiaoya!" Hua Minghai excitedly said like a child. He couldn't contain his happiness.

Yu Long shook his head gently and left them alone for a moment. He brought his maids out and stared at the sun in the azure sky.

"Did you really heal her, Young Master?" Hong Guan was suspicious because she felt the usage of profound aspects a moment ago.

Yu Long smirked, "Technically speaking, yes."

"I only give Hua Minghai's wife what she deserves."

"Ru Xiaoya would notice the change in her profound veins soon. Yueli, you'll be in charge of training her from now on." He added casually.

"You could also share the first three chapters of [Chronicle of Frozen World] with her."

"Noted." Chu Yueli nodded calmly. She was curious about what changes Yu Long made to Ru Xiaoya.

It should be a significant change, considering the intense chill earlier.

After a while, Hua Minghai and Ru Xiaoya finally come out. They couldn't hide the happiness from their faces.

"My lord." They bowed before Yu Long.

"Mm." Yu Long leaned against a tree.

Hua Minghai looked up and vowed, "From now on, I, Hua Minghai, will follow you to death!"

"I swore on my ancestor's name that I'd never betray your trust!"

Ru Xiaoya patted her husband's back and bowed, "Thank you for curing me, my lord."

"I don't know how to repay your kindness, but like my husband said. We wouldn't betray your trust and stay loyal forever."

"Sure, I will take both of your words for granted." Yu Long agreed with their pledge without much of a fuss. "From now on, Hua Minghai will be the branch leader of Eleventh Base."

"And you, Ru Xiaoya, will be the vice-leader."

"YES! WE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!" They responded with firm determination.

"Good." Yu Long laughed. This is easy replacement for his loss a while ago.
