Just Your Regular Teen

When I returned to class, there was something poking out of my bag. It was a letter. And inside, it said this "Meet me behind the school after class. I have something to say." And you know what that means right? OF COURSE A CONFESSION! Damn it author! You should've named this "My Popular Phase" HAHAHAHAHA!!! (Sike lol) "It's a bit embarrassing to ask... But..." Here it comes! "Can I have your brother's number?!" Huh? Was it just me, or did she just say 'brother'? I might be hearing things... "It must have been the wind... but I really didn't get what you said clearly..." I asked, using my vocabulary to the fullest. "Cmon... it's already too embarrassing to say... I said .... ummmm... I'd really love it if you shared your brother's number with me... he looks really handsome... so I'm kinda interested in him..." she said, in a crystal clear voice. My name is Dylan. I'm a regular 16 year old. Apparently, Reality decided to be the bitch it is...

Being Selfish

Christine's POV

I know I'm the one who invited him, So why was I running late?? That too by half an hour! Front of the mall fountain is what I said. But for some reason I didn't see the excitement you would normally see from someone who got invited out by their good looking senior. Instead, he just looked down. I thought he might be tired, but something was up. I gave him my number, but there were no messages about why I was late... Maybe I'm just overthinking. Maybe he just doesn't know how to message me since it's the first time he got a girl's number. The thought made me giggle a bit. What a kid.

When I finally reached there, he was standing right where I told him, without moving an inch. He was swiping through his phone. What was he up to though?

"Hey Dylan!" I called out to him. He looked at me and was speechless for a moment. Guess I did well on the dressing part! I walked over and shut his mouth for him. "I know I look good but you don't need to be so wonderstruck about it." I said laughing.

He smirked. "Only if your personality matched your looks, pretty ogre" I know it was a compliment as well but the insult part pricked really hard."

"Want me to leave right now huh?!" I got up in his face, only for him to blush and apologize. I couldn't help but laugh at his antics.

"Anyways I know a good place where I normally go with Damian's friends. Actually this might be good practice as well! I mean for future dates with Damian hehehehehe!"

"Whatever, lead the way, Chief." he reaponded. I decided to tease him a bit.

I held up my hand. He looked clueless and dumbfounded.

"Hold my hand, dumbass." He suddenly blushed hard and let out weird sounds. "I-I know it's p-practice but we don't have to go that far!!"

Nice reaction...

"You said you're here for the first time, right? Hold my hand so you don't get lost." His expression suddenly fell.

"I can follow you. I'm not your little brother or something."

"Just do it!" He still looked expressionless. Ok now it was starting to rub me the wrong way. I didn't want to drag it on so I just grabbed his hand. "It's okay, Dylan, don't mind it."

"BUT I DO!"

There was a bit of resistance at first, but then he relaxed. somewhat. His hands were huge.

So. Where do you wanna go first?" He just looked at me.

"It was your idea! You're supposed to think about it, not me!"

"Huh?! You bitch you're the guy, your supposed to know how to take a girl out on a date! This is as much practice for you as it is for me!"

"Are you kidding me? You said this this was payback for getting you a chance to get all cuddly wuddly with my brother!"

"Exactly! Me being available for you is your payback!" Before I knew it he got used to holding my hand, although we kept arguing until we reached a cloth shop. Maybe he knew Damian's taste in clothes!

"Hey hey! You know what kind of dresses Damian likes?" his hand squeezed a bit.

"Yeah, yeah. I do..."

"Then let's go check out a few things!"

"He likes t-shirts a lot, and he wears shorts as well because he feels comfortable. Honestly, he has no taste in clothes..." What was he talking about?

"Hey genius. I didn't mean clothes he wears. I meant MINE."

"Are you a fucking yandere?"

"Shut up, eat shit and die." I replied.

"Well... he... likes fr-frilly stuff... clothes that have more emphasis on the feminine side of things."

"AWWWW THAT'S SO CUTE!"

"Whatever, fuck yourself." I gave him my usual look.

"You've been hella rude today, Dylan. Are you forgetting I'm your senior?" I said as I gave his hands a taste of my nails.

"OK OK SORRY SORRY STOP PLEASE!" He begged me.

"Good boy! Now, As you were,"

We went through a bunch of dresses but he was just saying yes to all of them.

"Hey you can't just say yes to everything! We need to be accurate!" I scolded him.

"Huh?! I'm just saying yes to everything because you look really pretty in all of them. It doesn't even matter what you wear."

That gave me butterflies for a second there.

"Y-you get a few points for that compliment, but your overall score is still a huge negative!"

"I don't care, piss off." he responded.

I walked back into the fitting room, knowing that it was ok, considering that he said I look good in everything.

What if Damian said that?!

AAAAAAAHHHH!¡!!

My heart jumped out of my chest thinking about it!

We bought whatever I took and I handed the bags to him.

"Excuse me, what the fuck?" he said.

"You're the guy, you're supposed to take it from me without me asking you to! like 'Ill hold that for you, babe' or something like that!"

"Ok then, you carry half!" I suggested

"ITS YOURS WHY SHOULD I BOTHER?!"

"Umm. Excuse me, you can keep it at the counter and take it when you return..." A lady approached us. Guess we were too loud... Opps.

"Well yeah, but this idiot ogre here has no sense or brainpower." I raised my hand to give him the Cut-G slap, but then the lady gave us a scary look. So we decided to get the hell outta there.

Next, I took him to a restaurant where we ate our lunch.

"But still. You take too much time to change!"

"All girls do that, dumbass, you yourself aren't so manly either! Imagine not offering a lady to hold her bags for her."

"Ha! you? lady?" I stopped him before he began "I can flatten your leg from here y'know"

.

"Nevermind, you are a goddess among women."

"YEAH. That's more like it. This is as much practice for you as it is for me.

"But still, if we were really like that, I would've carried an entire mountain for you, but otherwise, I ain't doing shit."

"Oh? So you want us to be like that? oh? I wouldn't mind us-"

"Yeah of course not. After all, you're not into guys that can't be more of a man. I'm immature, throwing puns in the conversation every five seconds. I'm an insensitive idiot who can't ever read the mood. And also hella virgin."

That caught me off guard. Shit. So that's why he was so down. I had to come up with a good reason, quickly!

"THAT WAS BECAUSE I WAS... UH, I DINT EXPECT THAT! I didn't want her to know I had a crush on Damian!"

Wait, why was I trying so hard...

"Yeah of course it was for Damian so I understand why you would badmouth someone else. I understand."

"No you don't! I didn't say it from my heart!"

"Of course you didn't. After all you wouldn't badmouth a friend on purpose. Wait, are we even friends? After all you only need me for Damian. Am I right?"

"No! No! You're wrong...Dylan..."

"It's alright. I'm a guy after all, I shouldn't be immature right?" This definetly wasn't alright. I sat and watched, not being able to utter a word of comfort as he slightly teared up.

"I hate you. I fucking hate you so much."

"I know. The feeling is mutual. Even I hate myself for putting you through that. I'm really sorry."

"Fuck it. I'm done. You're still clueless."

What??? Why was he being this way?? He got up to leave. I didn't know how to stop him. I didn't know what to say. Because I was in the wrong here.

"It's okay though. I'm fine with it. Even I would have done the same thing myself, y'know."

There was silence between us.

"Hey. Are we friends?"

"Yes."

"Then you're terrible at being one." and walked out. And I didn't try to stop him. More like I couldn't stop him.

But I had to do it. It was my fault, I had to take responsibility.

"Dylan. I meant whatever I said. But I never said you're a bad friend."

"I know. I just need to cool my head off."

"Yeah." I responded.

This wasn't over. I had a bad feeling that things were gonna go downhill from now.

Looks like things got heated, but Dylan manages to stop before it gets to a breaking point. Did he avoid it, or just delay the inevitable?

Another chapter yay! Sorry for being a bit late tho! I'm gonna make sure I try to get things out on time!
