It's okay Oliver. I'm gonna take care of you. I won't let anyone hurt you again. Just close your eyes and count to ten then, everything will be alright.

April 9, 2007

It's my birthday today. I'm 4 today. My mommy said that I can do anything I want. I get to have cake and toys and my uncle Freddie is coming to visit me. I love uncle Freddie he gets me candy all of the time. I'm not supposed to tell mommy or daddy because it's our secret.

Everyone is here to celebrate my birthday. Uncle Freddie is here and he says that he's staying over for the night. He says we will have fun together. Later at night he comes into my bedroom and tells me to be quiet so that we don't wake the others up. He tells me to take off my pants and underwear. I do so and he starts to touch my no no area. I begin to feel very uncomfortable and tell him to stop but, he says he get me in trouble if I don't let him continue. So I lay there as he puts his hands all over my no no area. He then starts sucking at it and I feel sick. I try to scream no but, the words won't leave my mouth and then everything goes away. I don't remember what happened but, when I woke up in was being cuddled by mom and dad had pinned Freddie to the ground. The police then took Freddie away. I shouted at them to let him stay but, mommy told me he was sick and that he needed to go away for awile. I cried all night in mommy's arms. "Anne, can I speak with you?" My daddy called for my mom.

Anne's P.O.V

👠What is it Richard? 👔Haven't you noticed that Oliver has been different lately. He's been his acting more aggressive and then he'll pause for a second and act like nothing happened. When he's angery he doesn't even respond to his name. He told me that he wasn't Oliver. He said his name was Arthur. When I tried asking him who Arthur was he had no clue what I was talking about. 👠Richard that's insane he's only 4 how would he come up with this. Where has he herd the name Arthur? Richard I think your stressed, do we need to see a therapist?👔No, I'm serious he's been acting strange. It's like he's two different people in one body. Whenever we watch a scary movie he acts like he's the one being hurt in the film. Then I'll turn it off and he'll stay still and then act like he's fine.👠Richard does this happen to be one of your coping methods to deal with how Freddie, well, did stuff with my Oliver? 👔No, I think that Oliver is two people. And if you think I'm crazy I might as well be locked away like my brother. 👠*slaps Richard across the face* Don't you dare say that. I will take Oliver with me to the hospital, maybe he's just trying to cope with the traumatic experience of being raped by someone he trusted. Never mention your brother again as long as Oliver is here under our roof.👔I won't as long as he is seen by a doctor.

Authors P.O.V.

Anne took Oliver too the hospital to get him checked out and nothing seemed to be a problem. The doctor said he was most likely going through a phase where he's trying to cope with the incident and is displaying an aggressive behavior due to that. When Anne brought him home to tell Richard, Richard was in the kitchen cutting up vegetables for tonight's dinner. Anne walked in and Richard looked to her to and asked if he was right about Oliver. She of course told him that nothing was wrong with him and that he's just behaving this way because of the incident. Richard stops cutting up the celery and is holding the knife in his hand. 👔 What? Richard asks confused. He thought he was right about Oliver. He walks slowly towards his wife with knife in hand. Anne is visibly scared and backs away from him. He stops and looks at what he's doing. 👔 Are you afraid of me? Do you think I'll hurt you? Anne begins to cry and tries back away in fear. He runs up to her to try and keep her there but, he ends up stabbing his wife in the process. She grabs her left side and the knife sticking out of it. She turns around to see Oliver. The terror in his eyes when she looked back at him. 👠Run Oliver. She mouthed to Oliver. Oliver ran out the door and into the woods to hide from his father but his father eventually caught up and dragged his body back home. Oliver was dragged into the basement where he was then raped by the man he once called father and left alone in the dark. He cried himself to sleep and woke up in the back of an ambulance strapped to the gurney. His mom had called the cops when his father had chased him into the woods. She died with the phone in her hands and bled out in the kitchen. Oliver was brought to the hospital alone and with nobody to care for him any longer. He was an orphan alone in the world with nowhere to call home. The nurses nursed him back to health and sent him to the orphanage with a blue rabbit plushie. He walks up to the large gate and rings the bell to be let in. The gate opens and he walks to the place he now will call home for the next 14 years.
