9 Season 1 (CH9)

Ryan stopped along the way to grab a burger with a shake, he actually did end up being hungry as he was leaving the school, plus he needed something to distract himself for the talk they were going to have. He was going to have to go into this delicately though, he didn't know if she knew or not but also didn't want have her do something to him if she did know something, which she wouldn't want him knowing.

Sighing he sent her a message as he walked into his house and to his room, when he entered he went and unlocked his window which he had locked the night before. He wasn't ashamed to say why either, having her sleep on him the past two nights had put him in a mood, and since she left each morning he has had to spend some extra time in the shower.

He didn't have to wait long before she showed up, she was at his window in only two minutes before she was pushing it open and crawling in, "You know this would be a whole lot easier if I just gave you a key to the back door." He mentioned while taking out his burger so he could eat.

"Yeah but where is the fun in that?" She said with a wide smile while grabbing her own food from the bag and sitting next to him on the bed, "So you never answered, why was your window closed in the first place?"

He sighed then looked at her before going back to his food, "We have discussed how you are a very beautiful girl have we not? Well that tends to lead to a boy my age having some fantasies while also causing body reactions, see where I am going with this?" He explained before taking another bite of his food.

She seemed to pause a moment before speaking, "I honestly didn't even think about that. I have felt you poking me in the morning when I wake up but shrugged it off to morning biology, now that I think about it though it does make a lot of sense because you have woken up before me before."

"Exactly." They hadn't even gotten to the topic that he wanted to get into, he honestly didn't expect for them to be talking about this at the moment, it just came into play.

"Oh my gosh did you hear about what happened at Lacrosse practice?" She said after the room was quiet a moment, he was half angry half relieved that she was changing the subject though.

"No what happened?" He said while only being mildly interested.

"Scott hit Jackson so hard that he had to go to the hospital for his shoulder. He might not be playing tomorrow. Lydia texted me earlier talking about it." Allison said with wide eyes.

Ryan thought that over, it just put Scott more under his radar hearing things like this, not that it wasn't possible but Scott was a lot smaller then Jackson so it did make him wonder. Thinking it over it just happened this year that Scott changed, well more around the time that the wolf howl happened that he heard, the same night Allison came into town.

His earlier thoughts came back to him, it was to farfetched now, all the clues were there; the wolf howl, Scott getting better in Lacrosse, being able to take down Jackson, him stopping in the hall and seemingly smelling him.

It was planted fully in his head now, all signs pointed to it Scott was a werewolf, there was no other explanation for it, there were just to many pieces that fit together. Wolves weren't back in California, no it was werewolves which had been here for awhile, but why did it seem like Scott was so new to it all, was it a puberty thing in his family?

Seeing that he knew he was right, last time he thought it though he wasn't a hundred percent sure about it, now though he had the proof. That just brought up Allison's family though now, Scott called her dad a Hunter, so does that mean they are werewolf hunters?

Was Allison a werewolf hunter?

Like vomit that couldn't be held back it spilled out of his mouth before he could stop himself, "Allison are you in a family of werewolf hunters?"

There was a slight pause, which gave him enough time to listen to her heartbeat as she went to answer, though he wasn't expecting her to be laughing, "Haha, yes my family hunts werewolves, we also collect Fairies too. Come on Ryan what is wrong with you, there is no such thing as werewolves."

The whole time he was listening to her heartbeat and it stayed steady, she was telling the truth about what she was saying, it seemed she had no idea about her family. He looked at her and nodded, it was no wonder her mom and dad were so hardcore compared to her, they were in the know while she was still in the dark about everything going on.

Well to be fair so was he, but he was freaking out a little not even caring about the rest of his food or his mission rewards, at the moment he was wondering what to do. Above everything else he was worried about his mom, who knew if one day she would be attacked out of no where, now knowing the animal attacks weren't from animals but an intelligent creature she would be screwed.

"Ryan are you okay? You are looking really pale and your breathing is shallow, calm down for me okay. Just tell me what is going on you are starting to freak me out." Allison's voice was reaching out to him through the haze of what he knew was currently a panic attack, he had never had one before but was sure that is what was happening at the moment.

Her face came into view and when she reached to cup his face he flinched, it was involuntary but there was nothing he could do to stop himself. She might not know about it but her parents did, and that was worse because it has to be really bad if they would keep her in the dark about everything, at the moment he couldn't be calm.

Her expression was one of hurt as she saw him flinch away from her, there was nothing he could do about it though since it seemed his world was crashing around him. Sure he had the system, though that didn't mean he expected something like this to happen, why would he? He was still taking everything as an annoying game that was happening.

"Ryan," She called out softly while scooting closer to him refusing to let him pull away, "What is going on? Why are you freaking out so much? It obviously has something to do with Werewolves but I don't see what that has to do with anything."

He was coming down some but still freaked, it was normal for someone to be freaked out though, when you learn of supernatural that is obviously a threat you would worry. Gulping he looked at her, "Look..... Just..... it is hard for me to explain because I don't know everything okay? This would be a lot easier if you just...."

"Just what? Come on we have shared a bed three times now surely you could just come out with it and tell me." She said with a small smile while cupping his cheek like she wanted to earlier.

"Promise not to laugh?"

"No promises there if it is to funny of a joke, but I can try." She said with a teasing smile while rubbing her thumb on his cheek.

Letting out a breath he nodded since he too would laugh if someone would bring up what he was about to bring up with her, "Look until you do one thing I can't be sure in everything I say since you need to talk to your parents but... I am pretty sure Werewolves are real, and that your dad hunts them. I can't explain how I know that but I can tell you for now that it is real."

She stared at him blankly, her lips twitched for a moment but seeing that he was serious she held back her laugh, "Why do you think my father hunts them? Are you one or something?" She couldn't help but joke in the end.

"No but.... Look can you just go ask about this for me and if he tries to deny in some way just bring it up that you know someone who is one? I just really need to know more before I can tell you everything." He said with a pleading expression.

He wasn't protecting Scott or anything but he also didn't know why her dad was hunting Scott, just giving her all the information would cause problems where there might not be none.

The room went quiet as she searched his face, finally she nodded before looking him in the eyes, "I will go do this for you but you better tell me what you know later. To make this quick I will go and ask them now before it gets to late, either wait for my text or for me to come back."

She leaned forward giving him a peck on the cheek before moving back with a smile, climbing out of his bed she put on her shoes before climbing out the window. He let out a breath as she disappeared, he rung his hands his food forgotten as he waited to hear back from her.
