Season 1 (CH24):

Previously on Just Let Me Live in Peace- Teen Wolf: Ryan finally made it home after a night out of bowling with his mom, where at the end she met Lydia and they had a talk. Now he was on his way to see what she wanted after she sent him a text. Now back to the story....

--------------------------------------------------------

Ryan traveled with Shadow Walk, he went right into Lydia's room when he got there, Prada must have heard him since it walked into the room and walked over to him happily. Reaching down he started to play with the little dog, Lydia wasn't back yet so he didn't have anything to do at the moment, he just sat in her bed.

Eventually Prada fell asleep while being petted, as for him he finally heard Lydia pulling up to the house, it seemed that she finally dropped everyone off. Sitting against the head board he waited for her to come inside, he didn't sit in the dark either so she wouldn't be surprised when she did show up, they didn't need to make her mom worry with her screaming.

It didn't take long for Lydia to walk into the room, the two looked at one another as she took a seat at the edge of the bed, the room was quiet. Ryan didn't feel as though he needed to speak first, she asked him to come over so he was going to wait and see what she had to say first.

He didn't have to wait long before she spoke, "You looked like you were having a good time tonight."

He sighed while getting up, "Is that all you called me here for? Because if it is then I am heading out, I actually want to get some sleep tonight."

She paused he could see she was biting her lip while thinking about something, "No that isn't everything that I wanted tot say. It is just hard to start this conversation okay?! I have been with Jackson for so long, and we have been the it couple that it is hard to bring up this kind of topic without having some sort of emotion come out, I am not some heartless bitch you know.

What am I suppose to do just come out and say, 'Oh by the way Ryan I have strong feelings for, also I am sorry about moaning Jackson's name when you kissed me it was a mistake.' That I was just trying to protect myself because what if I am just another fling for someone. Because it scares me that I have finally let someone in and that you could crush me by just simply wanting nothing but a fling.

A lot of men are put off by intelligent women, how am I suppose to know if you won't resent me for that or start to reconsider if I make you feel inadequate, Huh?" She finally paused in her rant taking a breath.

Ryan stood there a little stunned, he didn't expect for her to actually come out and speak her mind like that, it was actually nice to hear. These were the fears he had of her though, not the whole smarts things since he believed they weren't that far apart, but the whole him being a fling to her, he didn't want her to get bored of him after sleeping together once.

Granted he was way ahead of himself by saying that they would sleep together just like that.

Moving towards her he gently took her waist in his hands, she had stood up in the middle of her rant, "Lydia, you have nothing to worry about. Why on earth would I think any of that? Your intelligence just makes me like you more, and even if you are number one in our class I am still third. As for it being a fling, not to sound like a dick but look at the scoreboard here.

I haven't had any strong relationships with people, but at the same time I don't do flings. To me even if we are in high school I think relationships should be meaningful, because to me I don't want to look back one day and say, 'And bro I remember sleeping with this hottie names Lydia, damn bro she was a banger.'

No I would rather say something like, 'Ahh no you know who was my best girlfriend in High school, Lydia Martin, damn that girl was fiercely loyal, sweet, and the smartest person in school there is no doubt that she is going to win the Nobel Prize of Mathematics or something similar.' Because that is what I honestly think is going to happen.

So you don't need to worry about me being the dick who won't be there in the morning, or be there when you are at your lowest. Because I will be the first to lift you up if something has you down, but I will also be the one who wakes up as early as possible just so I can see you smile." He said with a smile while brushing some of the hair out of her face.

She had a shocked expression hearing his rant, there was a small happy smile on her face though as she listens to his words, she buried her head into his chest while holding him tight. Ryan didn't do anything but held her, he wanted her to adjust to what he had just said, honestly he himself couldn't believe that he had just said all of that.

Slowly though he pulled away, while he did feel that way, it wasn't even an hour ago that she was on a date with her boyfriend, so he wasn't going to get his hopes up. At the moment sure they admitted to liking each other, but on the same side he wasn't going to let anything happen while she was still with someone else.

Lydia looked at him with a confused expression making him want to explain, "You are still with Jackson, even if those are words I really meant and I want to be together. That doesn't mean that it can just happen while you are with him."

She frowned but moved closer to him wrapping her arms around his neck looking him in the eye, "I will break up with him. Tonight while I was with him just showed me more reasons why we shouldn't be together. So it is okay if we do this, I want this more then anything."

Ryan stood there a moment while looking into her eyes thinking it over, he himself really wanted it too but until she actually broke up with him then nothing would happen, "We can, but only after you break up with him."

She paused a moment, it seemed as though she was thinking it over which made him frown, if the words she said was true then she wouldn't need to hesitate to break up with the guy. "Can you give me a little time? I mean honestly me and him have been together for awhile now, it isn't that easy to just break up with him." she explained.

That was not what he wanted to hear, his heart broke a little more hearing that, he was expecting that this was going to be their chance to be together. Now it seemed that he was wrong, sighing he pulled away from her while feeling his heart break more and more.

It seemed like he would only be the other guy to these girls.

That wasn't something that he could be anymore, it seemed like he needed to go back to the way he was before this whole system and Allison appeared in his life. He would go back to it being peaceful, of course he would still protect Allison in secret but other then that he was going back to his normal life, heartbreak was to much on him.

"Goodbye Lydia." He said disappearing on the spot, he wasn't going to stick around and listen to her explain things or convince him to give her time. It might feel like he wasn't giving her a chance but at the same time he wasn't going to risk his own feelings because of what she wanted.

Instead of rushing home Ryan took a detour walking around town, as he did he looked around the place while sighing, he didn't think his night would turn out like this. He was hoping it would end on a good note, that was further cemented in his mind when they had their talk, but it seemed he was wrong.

Unknowingly he made it into the woods, looking around there wasn't anything around at the moment, coming out of the shadows he walked until he found a creek. The moon was shinning down on the water reflecting it back as waves moved gently across, he sighed again thinking about the night.

Suddenly he looked up and across the creek, it was faint but with his good hearing it was as if it was right in his ear, someone or something stepped on a branch breaking it. Looking closely he saw red eyes watching him in the distance, frowning he stood up, he already knew what those eyes meant.

It was the alpha, he was being watched by it at the moment.... wrong he could hear it rushing to him at an extremely fast pace.

Without thinking he went into the shadows, the alpha came to a stop right in front of where he use to be, it looked around while sniffing the air not seeming to know where he went. This was Ryan's first look at the alpha, to say he was shocked by it would be an understatement.

He remembered looking at Derek who while being a pureblood werewolf didn't turn like this, all he got was some partial but this was nothing like that. Instead this looked just like a beast, but what shocked him was that it looked deranged like it didn't know what it was doing at the moment, it was just out for blood.

He stood looking at it for a moment, since his feelings were also a little unstable at the moment he had no thought of running, no he was going to fight it.
