(Another name= "He Who Lasted 4 Minutes ; )
The moon hung high in the night sky as Kuma wearily made his way back home. The shadows of the village seemed to dance around him, their movements a silent reminder of the world he had begun to navigate. With each step, he drew nearer to the familiarity of home, where the comforting presence of family awaited.
Upon entering their modest abode, Kuma's gaze fell upon his mother, who sat alone at the dining table, softly illuminated by the gentle glow of a single lantern. Her presence brought a sense of solace, and he greeted her with a tired but genuine smile. "I'm back, Mom."
His mother, a woman of few words but boundless love, returned the greeting with a nod. "Welcome home, Kuma. How was your day?"
Kuma eased into a chair, exhaling a contented sigh as he settled in. The day had been a mix of challenges and discoveries, and he was grateful for the warmth of home. "Mmm, it was mostly fine. Training was tough, but I'm learning a lot."
As Kuma made his way to the washroom to freshen up, his thoughts lingered on the words of Izumi. She had spoken about applying for early graduation, a testament to her dedication as a 'shinobi,' or so it seemed. However, he couldn't help but sense that it was also for someone else—for Itachi, perhaps. Regardless of her motives, he respected her determination. His training with her was a daunting challenge, and he couldn't help but wonder how long it would take to finally become strong, strong enough to survive what he knew would come.
The cool water cascaded over Kuma's face, a soothing contrast to the physical demands of the day. Droplets clung to his eyelashes as he contemplated the path he had chosen. Izumi's training was rigorous, pushing him to his limits, both physically and mentally. He often questioned his own strength and wondered how long it would take to become formidable enough to navigate the dangers that awaited him. His desire was not for greatness; it was a simple, primal urge to endure.
After completing his wash, Kuma returned to his mother's side at the table. He initiated the conversation, his voice gentle and inquisitive. "How was your day, Mom? Did anything interesting happen?"
His mother offered a soft smile, her eyes reflecting a mother's warmth. "It was a usual day, dear. Nothing out of the ordinary."
Kuma nodded in understanding, fully aware that his mother often shielded him from the more challenging aspects of her life. Her work, he knew, required a level of secrecy, a facet of her life that remained veiled to him. His curiosity shifted to lighter matters as he continued the conversation. "What did you prepare for dinner tonight?"
His mother's eyes twinkled with affection as she replied, "Your favorite—vegetable stir-fry and rice." The aroma of sizzling vegetables and the gentle hiss of the stir-fry filled the room, a comforting symphony of homecoming.
Kuma's fatigue momentarily faded as he looked forward to the meal. "That sounds great, Mom. Thanks for always making my favorite."
As they shared their meal, Kuma's thoughts shifted back to the events of the day. He decided to share a part of it with his mother, albeit with an air of secrecy. "Mom, I made a new friend today."
His mother's curiosity was piqued, and she turned her gaze toward her son, a subtle smile playing on her lips. "Oh? That's wonderful, Kuma. Can you tell me more about your new friend?"
Kuma couldn't help but smile mischievously, enjoying the sense of intrigue he was creating. "It's a secret for now, Mom. But I promise I'll introduce you to them someday."
His mother simply nodded, her trust in her son unwavering. "I look forward to it, Kuma, whenever you're ready."
With the topic of his new friend set aside, Kuma turned his attention to his mother's day. He was genuinely interested in her experiences, even though he didn't know the full extent of her daily life. "How was your day, Mom? Did you have any interesting moments?"
His mother's eyes sparkled with a mixture of pride and fondness as she began to recount her day. "I had a challenging day—a complicated task that required delicate handling. But I think I managed it well. It's moments like these that remind me why I keep moving forward."
Kuma listened intently, captivated by his mother's resilience and determination. She was a mystery in many ways, a dedicated medic ninja who carried the weight of her responsibilities with grace. "You're amazing, Mom. I'm proud of you."
A tender moment passed between them, a silent acknowledgment of their unspoken bond. In their quiet conversations and shared meals, they found solace and strength. Kuma knew that his journey in this unforgiving world would be arduous, but the unwavering support of his mother, who remained his anchor, gave him the courage to face the challenges ahead.
As Kuma watched his mother drift into peaceful slumber, his thoughts meandered back to the lessons of the day—chakra, the enigmatic energy that defined the world of shinobi.
__________________________________________________________________________
Chakra, as he had learned, was a complex amalgamation of three fundamental components:
Physical Energy (Stamina): It was the vitality that coursed through one's body, the reservoir of endurance that allowed them to perform physical feats. This was the foundation upon which chakra was built.
Spiritual Energy (Emotions and Consciousness): It represented the emotional and mental aspects of a person. It was the wellspring of their intent and the source of their focus. Spiritual energy lent stability to chakra and imbued it with purpose.
Mental Energy (Thoughts and Intellect): This aspect was the control center, the driving force behind shaping and directing chakra. It determined the precision, complexity, and potency of jutsu.
Understanding the intricate relationship between these three components was crucial. When utilizing jutsu, a delicate balance had to be maintained:
Physical Energy decided the strength, potency, and resilience of chakra.
Spiritual Energy dictated the stability of chakra and the intent behind its use.
Mental Energy controlled the finesse and precision of chakra manipulation.
For most jutsu, whether they fell under the category of ninjutsu, taijutsu, or genjutsu, all three components were involved. The shinobi's ability to harmonize these energies determined their proficiency in the art.
Ninjutsu, in particular, demanded a fine-tuned synchronization of physical, spiritual, and mental energies. It was the realm of elemental manipulation, shape transformation, and technique creation. Without mastering the intricate dance of these three components, true mastery of ninjutsu remained elusive.
Taijutsu, on the other hand, often required a form of chakra referred to as "pure chakra." While it was predominantly physical energy, it was not exclusive. There were taijutsu techniques that incorporated all three components, albeit to a lesser extent. Kuma couldn't help but ponder the unique relationship between physical energy and taijutsu. His hypothesis, though untested, suggested that physical energy was expended at a disproportionate rate in taijutsu, and this was why many techniques in this discipline relied primarily on pure chakra. The fabled Eight Gates, a dangerous and extreme form of taijutsu, seemed to validate this hypothesis, as they tapped into the wellspring of physical energy to unlock incredible power.
Genjutsu, the art of illusion and mental manipulation, stood as a stark contrast to taijutsu. It was a domain where the amalgamation of all three components played a pivotal role. The requirements for mental and spiritual energy in genjutsu far exceeded that of ninjutsu and taijutsu, highlighting the intricate nature of illusions and the necessity of a deep connection between the mind and chakra.
Of course it didnt end there, beyond the fundamental categories of ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu, there existed additional realms of complexity. Iryo, buki, and fuinjutsu were among these specialized fields, each requiring a profound understanding of chakra manipulation and technique mastery.
Iryo, the art of medical ninjutsu, was a discipline dedicated to healing and mending the injuries of fellow shinobi. It delved into the intricate workings of the human body, leveraging chakra to mend wounds and cure ailments. Though Kuma had yet to come into contact with this field, he held deep respect for those who practiced it, knowing that they played a vital role in the survival of shinobi.
Buki, or weapon-based jutsu, encompassed a wide range of techniques involving weaponry. From the precise strikes of the Uchiha clan's katana techniques to the gentle yet deadly art of the Hyuga clan's Gentle Fist, these skills required an intimate connection between the practitioner and their chosen weapon. While Kuma had observed the fluidity of such techniques, he had not yet ventured into their study himself.
Fuinjutsu, the intricate art of sealing techniques, involved the use of complex seals and symbols to manipulate chakra for various purposes. These could range from containment to amplification, and they often required a deep understanding of both chakra theory and intricate patterns. The world of fuinjutsu remained a mystery to Kuma, waiting to be unraveled.
As for what he had already encountered, taijutsu had been a prominent aspect of his training. He had witnessed the grace of the Uchiha-style taijutsu and the gentle yet precise strikes of the Hyuga's Gentle Fist. The Body Flicker Technique, a form of high-speed movement, also fell under the category of taijutsu, showcasing the importance of physical prowess and agility.
In the realm of ninjutsu, Kuma had been introduced to the basic academy techniques, such as the Clone Jutsu, Transformation Jutsu, and Substitution Jutsu. Additionally, he had seen the Fireball Jutsu, a staple of Uchiha prowess, in action. Though the Great Fireball Jutsu was impressive, it was known more for its destructive power than its lethality, often used as a display of strength rather than a finishing blow.
Genjutsu, a world of illusions and mental manipulation, remained a field Kuma had not personally experienced but had witnessed in action during a spar with an older shinobi, thanks to Izumi. The art of genjutsu was both subtle and powerful, manipulating the perceptions and senses of the target to create illusions that seemed all too real.
Kuma knew that his current understanding was merely the tip of the iceberg. It was a hypothesis, a framework upon which he would build his knowledge. Chakra was as vast and intricate as the world of shinobi itself, and he was but a novice in its complexities.
As he lay in the quiet of the night, these thoughts swirled in his mind. The mysteries of chakra, the art of jutsu, and the boundless possibilities that lay ahead were both exhilarating and daunting. But Kuma was determined. With every lesson, every encounter, and every experience, he would inch closer to unlocking the true potential of chakra and, ultimately, his own destiny in this unforgiving world.

The next day, Kuma awoke to find his mother had already left for her early shift. With the day ahead of him and no particular obligations, he decided to make the most of this rare opportunity. Freshening up quickly, he knew that today was his chance to delve deeper into the mysteries of chakra.
Sitting down in a quiet corner of their home, he began his chakra molding practice. He had felt the flow of chakra during his spar with Izumi, and now he was determined to consciously tap into that wellspring of energy. It wasn't easy, and he wished he had access to more information on chakra, but the civilian library he could access had nothing to offer on the subject.
Undeterred, Kuma focused his concentration. He remembered how, during the spar, he had unconsciously used chakra several times. It became clear that Izumi had made him spar with her precisely because she knew he would tap into his chakra subconsciously. It was a revelation that filled him with a sense of understanding.
With newfound determination, Kuma continued his chakra molding. He focused on the sensation he had felt during the spar, that subtle flow of energy within him. It was a challenging process, but he persevered. One minute passed, then two, and he managed to sustain the flow for three, then four minutes. It felt like a significant achievement, although he knew there was much more to learn.
(I will explain this part later on when he meets Izumi or if you are too curious to wait for it then comment here and i'll tell you beforehand.)
Exhausted and sweating from his efforts, Kuma decided to take a break. He took another quick bath to freshen up and then headed out. Today, he had a specific destination in mind – the Yamanaka flower shop.
The Yamanaka family had been known for their flower shop even before Ino's birth. Kuma hoped to find some seeds and perhaps learn a thing or two about cultivating plants. He believed that understanding how to nurture life in the form of plants might help him in his journey to master chakra.
Upon arriving at the flower shop, he was greeted by the vibrant colors and fragrances of various blossoms. Kuma approached the counter and smiled at the shopkeeper, a member of the Yamanaka family.
"Hello there," Kuma greeted politely. "I'm looking for some flower seeds and maybe some advice on how to care for them."
The shopkeeper returned his smile and began to gather a selection of flower seeds, explaining the different varieties and their needs. As Kuma listened attentively, he couldn't help but appreciate the beauty of these living creations and the skill required to cultivate them.
Kuma listened attentively as the shopkeeper explained the different flower varieties, their meanings, and the care they required. He was particularly drawn to the mimosa flowers, which symbolized "Respect" and "Kindness." Their delicate nature intrigued him, and he decided to give them a try, hoping to learn more about the intricacies of nurturing life.
Back at home, he carefully preserved the mimosa flower he had purchased, treating it as a precious reminder of the help he had gained, maybe he would give this to her. Turning his attention to the seeds, he prepared to embark on a gardening experiment.
With the knowledge he had gained from the shopkeeper, Kuma planted nine mimosa seeds in three separate pots. He ensured they received the right amount of sunlight and water, determined to help them thrive. But he didn't stop there; Kuma had another idea in mind.
Taking one of the remaining mimosa seeds, he decided to experiment with his newfound understanding of chakra. With a sense of curiosity and concentration, he channeled his chakra into the seed while keeping it in the sunlight and providing it with water. Slowly, he increased the flow of chakra, observing the seed closely as he did.
As he continued to infuse the seed with chakra, he noticed changes, albeit not the ones he had expected. It became clear that this experiment, which might have been attempted by others before him, was more challenging than he had initially thought. Project 1, a mixture of chakra and nurturing, had not yielded the results he hoped for.
Undeterred, Kuma left the remaining mimosa seeds untouched for the time being. Tomorrow, was a big day, he had an academy to attend. While thinking this he once again went for practise this time returning late and peacefully sleeping.
he who strikes back again, what'd ya think of my view on chakra it aint complete but it something, i hope.
