I still can't believe that a ritual that would summon a literal demon was found in a how to book. From some of the memories I have stolen from the guard, I knew that this world had some rather odd things rolling around. Things that were rather shocking in retrospect but no one really batted an eye at it happening. The news reporting about the quarantine had a threat of shooting people and no one was concerned.
The company that I knew to be harvesting organs was mainly a beverage company. Their number one product was fucking called toxic water. The advertisements for said product were equally appalling. The fact that they supposedly contaminated the water of hundreds of people was ignored. In a more rational world, they would not be able to set up a quarantine themselves. This would be done by the government not a money grubbing company.
So the pieces that told me this world was odd were definitely there. It was just rather shocking to feel the dark sickly Mana in the air and relate it to a dumb book.
A cursory glance at the rest of the apartment did not really produce more objects of interest. I wonder how this dip shit got his hands on that ridiculous book. I hope to god that he did not buy it in a regular fucking store. Ashley was looking around to loot shit with a pout on her face.
She was displeased that she was not able to help in the murder. I could only placate her as I was not going to allow this cultist the opportunity to do something dumb. That was a road to having a demon tearing you limb from limb.
Andrew stayed in their apartment likely sulking that he could not save the idiot. I was fine with that, I was not all that interested in the guy. I tolerated him because he was my girlfriend's brother and perhaps the only family member she had a good relationship with.
As long as Andrew did not flip the board I was fine with us not getting along. I would be more than willing to engage in bland small talk with the guy once in a blue moon. The true way to bond with your in laws.
The cultist's apartment was not very large. In comparison to the Grave's residence but that was to be expected. A family of four lived in the Grave residence while this guy was clearly a single dog. You don't have how to books on summoning demons and have a healthy relationship. I was now the owner of that book but I would not call my relationship with Ashley healthy so my point still stood.
Beyond the limited living space there was a bathroom. The scent from the room was beyond disgusting so I was not going to open the door. I had no idea what this dumb ass did in that room but it must be like the bathroom of a gas station. I don't know how the cultist managed to lower my already low opinion of him.
There was nothing else interesting here from a cursory glance. I was not exactly willing to rummage through the trash bags in search of loot. The pile of ashes did not strike me as a person with good loot.
"Score!" Ashley shouted out as she finished rummaging through a coat. I suppose I was wrong as Ashley was holding up some cash she found in the pocket of a coat. It did not look like a large amount but loot was loot. I could provide her wealth far beyond that paltry sum but finding loot is always a pleasant experience.
Even if said loot was from a dead man's coat. I imagine that the loot being found in a dead man's apartment made it better for Ashley.
"You done robbing the idiot?" I did not want to spend the rest of my day in the frankly smelly apartment. I killed the man and took his summoning book so we should be done here. Ashley looked over at me and hummed lightly. Her eyes traveled around the room as if searching for something before she shrugged.
"I should be good for now." Ashley announced as she walked to me. I was expecting her to latch onto me again but she seemed hesitant. It took me a moment to remember that her hands were covered in blood. She apparently did not want to stain my clothes.
It was a nice sentiment and oddly considerate from Ashley of all people. I gave her a small smile and started to head back to the Graves' apartment. We had other things to get through today.
I made sure to conjure a door to replace the one I banished. I had some plans I wanted to enact.
I then crossed into the Graves' apartment once again. Andrew was pacing with a dejected look on his face. Seeing us walk back in he stopped pacing. He was still tense and dejected but seeing us at least eliminated the nervous energy permeating from him.
"You killed him." Andrew spoke out with a tone that conveyed accusation. I was not really all that concerned if he saw me as some great evil. He could be as upset as he wanted to be it would not change who I was. Nor, could it be used to separate Ashley and me.
"You know the answer to that." He may not have said it like a question but it was certainly implied. There were a lot of things that were implied but the question was fairly easy to read.
Again the accusation in his eyes faded and the dejected look came back. I rolled my eyes at the guy as he was taking the idiot's death far too close to home.
"Ignoring my blatant murder, you guys are not safe here." I spoke out seriously gathering the attention I needed from the siblings. This was by no means the only threat in this world. If a demon can be summoned it was bound to eventually happen as it would not be interesting if it did not. I was operating under the assumption that this world was based off of a story. It was not a hard assumption to get behind.
"No shit we have been sold off like cattle." Andrew spat out. I paused for a moment. In all the excitement I forgot that they were effectively sold into an organ harvesting scam. The whole demon coming to devour our souls was a bit of a bigger priority.
"I would like to see them try." Ashley spoke out softly as she pet the panting puppy in her arms. I was the one to animate the fucking thing so I knew that it was not supposed to behave that well. So seeing it sit quietly in her arms was rather confusing.
"I don't mean to undermine your suffering but that was not what I was talking about." I spoke out knocking the two of them out of whatever they were thinking about.
"This world is a whole lot more dangerous than I thought possible. If I was not here today a demon might have been brought into this world." I spoke out seriously. Again Andrew paled at my statement. Ashley on the other hand did not look like she cared all that much about the topic. I really wished she put some more mind on her safety but that was going to have to be a work in progress.
" Before I thought you guys lived in a relatively mundane world so I did not need to take any drastic actions. Now I know better." I was not willing to take a gamble on Ashley's continued safety. Not when something so insidious was taking place in the background of her world.
" So what's the plan?" Andrew spoke out. His eyes shone with understanding. We may not be on the best of terms but at least he was capable of understanding that all I wanted to do was help.
"Ashley and yourself can travel to my world on a more permanent basis. My world may not be the safest place but it is certainly better than yours." This is the best course of action. It also played into my own plans but that was irrelevant. The siblings will be safe and far away from literal demons and I got to have Ashley by myside once more. Everyone wins as far as I was concerned.
"You want us to just pack up and leave?" Andrew questioned disbelief lighting his words. He clearly did not think my plan was in their best interest. Ashley seemed suddenly interested in the conversation as her eyes glowed brightly.
"Done, when are we getting out of here." Ashley excitedly uttered. She was once more vibrating in place a bright cheerful smile adorning her face. The sight caused butterflies to swarm in my gut.
"This is serious Ashley. You want to leave everything behind and just fuck off!?" Andrew steadily raised his voice as he tried to get his own opinion across. I kept my silence for now but his actions were rubbing me the wrong way. He had his reasons for his reluctance but it did not mean I liked them.
Ashley turned away from me, the smile fading from her face. Her face sad as she looked at her brother.
"What do we have left here Andy?" Ashley questioned softly. The question might as well be a slap despite its tone as Andrew recoiled away from it.
"Are parents literally sold us! All the friends that you had might as well have stabbed you as they have abandoned us! Even your girlfriend." Ashley shouted out the pained words hoping that they would get through to her brother. The last bit was said quietly in comparison as if she felt a certain amount of guilt for her actions.
The words did seem to affect Andrew deeply but the last one had him raising his head in a glare. One that was filled with all the dark intentions that lay dormant in his mind. The sight had me wanting to do something as it was aimed at someone I held dear.
Ashley's seriousness was the only reason I held back. It seemed like it was important to her to say these words.
"Whose fault do you think that is!?" Andrew shouted out. The swirl of emotions in his eyes dyed all of his words. Again that guilt built on her face but she stood steadfast despite the volatile anger. Andrew seemed to be gearing up for something but Ashley interrupted him.
"Mine." Ashley spoke out seriously. The guilt on her face spilled out in her tone but it did not overwhelm her. Seeing that admittance Andrew deflated like a balloon. Shock and confusion filled his face.
"If I was not myself maybe our parents would not have done what they did. If I did not push your girlfriend over the ledge maybe she would have stuck around. If I did not force you to be by my side maybe you would be happy." Ashley spoke out as tears gathered in her eyes. There was no more snark or smugness on her features just a sad realization that had been boiling inside of her.
Ashley was the type of person who acted for her own interests over anyone elses. The feelings and lives of those around her ultimately meant very little to her. She was a dark twisted person but she really did care for her brother. He was the only reason she was able to live this long. The only bright spot in her dark life.
Her previous actions were spent ensuring that the one spark of light would never escape her grasp. It was a blind pursuit and a desperate one. Now, she was capable of seeing her actions for what they were. Cuts that carved deeply into the one thing she cared for. Ashley must have changed a fair bit in our mission if she was capable of seeing those things now.
I hated that she blamed herself for the actions that shaped her but I knew that my words were meaningless. She knew that she played a part in her own misery. The world was capable of showing her kindness but she spent decades denying the possibility. All the things she had done in the name of that was ultimately meaningless. She never really got to experience that affection that drove her. Just a false facade that crumbled with the slightest touch.
Now she was taking ownership for her own actions. Even if she was a twisted broken thing she could accept herself for what she was.
"Ashley.." Andrew muttered under his breath all the anger draining out of him. He was looking at his sister with a sad guilty look. He may have been a victim in their relationship but he never tried to change things between them. He allowed everything to come and it was clearly not for the best. He looked like he wanted to do something but he had no idea what to do.
I felt rather useless watching this emotional confrontation between them. It needed to be said as these things have been boiling for a rather long time. Still, it did not mean I wanted to see the guilt on her face nor did I want to do nothing anymore.
I walked forward and clutched onto the shuddering girl in front of me. She may be going through a period of growth but I was not going to leave her to face the storm alone. As long as she wanted these arms will always be a haven for her.
She did not relax in my arms but she did not reject the touch either. She just looked forward at her brother waiting to see how he reacted. Would he blame her for everything that went wrong in their lives or would he let it go to face the future?
Andrew gave us a sad smile that seemed to be filled with defeat. There was understanding in his eyes and a hint of jealousy but the relief that seemed to pour out of him was the primary emotion.
"Alright you win, let's get out of here." Andrew spoke out softly.
The emotionally charged scene that had taken place was unexpected. I did not expect Ashley to face her decisions with any sense of clarity. She was a gremlin that did what ever she wished. I did not expect any level of self reflection on her part. Don't get me wrong I was certainly happy that it had happened but it was still strange.
The emotions that were surging through Ashley seemed to be calming down now that Andrew told her his answer. He had the opportunity to lay into Ashley for bringing about all the misery in his life. Yet, he did not do so. She may have played her part in their play but he played his as well.
"Well, I'm glad that we are all on the same page." I spoke out dispelling the lingering emotions hanging in the air. Andrew just shrugged and nodded. Ashley was finally relaxing in my arms.
"We do have some things to take care of before we head off to my world." I spoke out causing the siblings to pause their own thoughts. My words were a bit of an understatement. I did not have a home to settle the siblings in. It would be a rather minor thing to fix but it did not change the fact that I was inviting them over on a whim.
I did not know if they would be able to adjust to living in the magical world. I was sure that Ashley would be able to thrive no matter where she would end up. I was also fairly certain she would develop the ability to use Mana, the blood that ran through her veins was just that special. If not I was willing to teach her the trick to siphon the Mana from others.
I was not going to teach her brother the same trick if things came to pass. I just did not like him well enough to offer him the chance to become something more. It was a rather petty move and something that was likely to bite me in the ass. Maybe that answer will eventually change but that was a long ass time away from now.
I suppose I did not need to settle them in the magical world. The mundane world should be far more familiar to them even if they would be knocked into the past. I could have them set up with a nice amount of money and a place to live. I doubted that Ashley would want to sit around doing nothing so she was likely to be glued to my side for a fair bit. That did not mean setting them up in the mundane side of my world was doomed to failure.
It just meant that Ashley was likely to not spend a lot of time in the home I would provide them. It would give Andrew some breathing room to live for himself for once. Ashley had the opportunity to grow away from him so the same should be good for him. I should probably do something about his mental health as well. The dark emotions that glinted in his eyes when he looked at Ashley did not scream mentally sound.
I was not in a position to be throwing stones but even I could see that. I was not sure if a therapist would be able to handle the bundle of unresolved issues that he had. The year that they would be living in was not exactly known for sound mental health. Those practices were a rather new topic and it was still not a perfect field. It was a good thing that I did not have to rely on a mundane solution.
The magical community was oddly good at handling mental issues. Even if a vast majority of my people did not take advantage of those services when they needed them. It took a certain amount of trust to get started in the healing process after all.
A mental healer was skilled in Legilmency as it was the easiest way to handle cases. They could see the trauma like vivid colorful brush strokes. They could help you process those things without overwhelming the mind. The problem with that was you needed to trust them to scan through your mind. That was not something people liked to do. Ironically their patients were likely to be the last people who wanted to see a Mental Healer. Trauma did not exactly bring about trust.
I was a stellar example of that theory. I certainly needed to have someone check out my own mind. Yet, I was not willing to have someone rummaging through my mind. That was true before the fall and it was certainly true now. I would say that I was even more unwilling to have someone look through my mind. I held some valuable knowledge after all.
The way Fortuna was created should never get out to my people. It would give them ideas about doing something similar. I was not willing to have that particular problem on my door steps. I was already worried about it happening without me nudging the issue along.
" What? Like packing?" Andrew asked in confusion. I could not really blame him for the confusion. He had no way of knowing about my worries. Those worries were just a part of the reason I delayed leaving this world.
"I don't really got all that much to pack, you want anything in this place Andy?" Ashley questioned as she leaned into my chest. Andrew got a complicated look on his face but it faded and was replaced with more sadness.
"I don't think I want to even see this place again." Andrew muttered out as he looked around the messy room. This place may have been their home at one point but now it was an empty tomb. This place would do nothing but bring out bad memories for the siblings.
"We should be good to go now Prince." Ashley looked up at me with a smile on her face. The feeling of her body on me was getting me riled up. That or the smile that was splattered with blood was to blame.
"That's nice to know but we need to settle something here before we leave," I spoke out softly. I then pointed at the guard who was unconscious from the fear that Ashley inflicted on him. There was still one guard that played a part in their suffering. Not to mention the company that screwed them over needed to suffer.
The siblings both looked at the man covered in his own blood. Andrew faced palmed while Ashley giggled. I should have expected nothing less from them.
"I'll go take care of the other guard, but there was another thing I wanted to bring up." I let go of Ashley and she pouted but got out of my arms. Andrew was looking over at me with dread on his face.
"Another thing?" Andrew spoke out tiredly. I suppose I put him in a rather extreme emotional roller coaster. His sister popped back into existence with a sudden boyfriend, said boyfriend popped into his home and told him his parents sold them for their organs and then a literal demon summoning took place. More news from me was probably the worst fear of Andrew right now.
"Nothing that bad, the company is going to look for you guys for escaping the net. So I was thinking about placing some fake corpses here. That way if you ever want to come back for a visit you don't have to worry about them coming after you." I spoke out in a nonchalant manner. The tension that was building in Andrew dissipated as my topic was not bad for him.
"Sure, why not. " Andrew spoke out blandly as he did not really care what happens here. I was not going to be murdering anyone else so I suppose he was not capable of fighting this decision. It was in his best interest for my plan to go through.
Ashley just shrugged with a smile on her face. She did not care either. It was not a topic that I expected to bring up arguments anyways. I snapped my fingers and the bags of trash morphed into emancipated versions of the siblings. The dull glassy look in their eyes clearly showing their dead status.
Andrew recoiled away from the fake corpses. He paled drastically as he caught sight of his own face hollowed out from hunger. He then looked away quickly shuddering. I suppose the sight of his body was not something he was prepared to see.
"Jesus! A little warning next time." Andrew shouted out as he looked outside the window. He did not even try to look back at me to enforce his displeasure. Ashley just walked up to her own fake body and started to poke at it.
"Creepy." Ashley muttered as she continued to prod the dead version of herself. I lightly shuddered at the sight as well. I knew that it was a fake corpse but it was still the sight of my girlfriend in a rather disheartening position.
"My bad, I was not really thinking that through." I apologized as I looked away from the sight as well. I should have done this right when we were leaving.
"Do you have a smoke, kind of need one right now." Andrew muttered as he still refused to look over. Ashley stood up and glared at her brother before huffing. I did not and I was not sure if Ashley would let it slide if I did.
"Sorry, not much of a smoker." I was far too obsessed with a variety of things to have smoking as a hobby.
"Fuck, I need some fresh air." Andrew muttered as he walked towards the balcony. I guess he was going to stay there till it was time to go. That was fine with me we did not have a long time left here after all.
"Wanna join me in taking care of the last guard?" I asked Ashley who went back to prodding her own corpse. The sight causing me to blanch once more. She looked over her shoulder with a look that screamed no duh. I rolled my eyes and started to walk towards the hallway. She followed along with out a moment's hesitation.
We walked down to the second floor. From the guard's memories, his partner Dave was patrolling that hallway. I opened the door and immediately snapped my finger to destroy the camera. Dave whirled around at the door opening his face was pale as Ashley still was covered with blood. He drew his gun and pointed it at the two of us.
"Get back!" Dave shouted out panic dyeing his words. I was not sure if he had a plan for what to do if we did back down. I just rolled my eyes and snapped my fingers again. Ashley took that as a cue and started to walk menacingly toward Dave. He started to tremble but he did end up pulling the trigger.
Too bad for him his gun was now a prop. Instead of shooting a bullet through Ashley's grey matter the gun popped out a flag that unrolled with the words bang on it. What can I say I was a fan of the classics. Ashley closed the distance between them in an instant.
The blade I gave her carved into him as he dropped to the ground screaming. The sadistic smile that graced her face was certainly something to remember. The guard may have been bigger than her but she was fully kitted out with my potions. He did not stand a chance at fighting back.
The torture session lasted for a bit. I was not feeling charitable at the moment and I wanted her to have some fun today. This was probably not the best idea but I did not have a lot of those to begin with.
"You good?" I asked as she started to break his fingers. She looked over at me with a pout on her face but seeing my no-nonsense look she caved in and huffed. I knocked him out and put him back together the best I could. I Obliviated him as he needed to report to the company later. I then casted the same curses I used on the previous guard.
"Alright, another asshole off the list." I announced as I looked over at Ashley who was looking out the large window with nostalgia on her face.
"We used to play over there." Ashley announced as she pointed towards a section of the town that looked abandoned. It did not look like a place that was all that fun to hang out but what did I know?
"Away from the empty eyes of our parents," Ashley muttered as she looked at the broken and shabby looking buildings. I suppose an escape from their home life would make any place a paradise.
"I'm not wrong for wanting them dead, right?" Ashley looked back at me with a sad smile on her face. I once more wrapped my arms around the bloody girl.
"I'm not the best judge on that. I did kill my own father." I knew that I was not the best judge of right or wrong. My father may have been the scum of the earth but snuffing out his life was something irreversible. I could not judge this girl for wanting something similar, her parents were just as bad as my own.
Right or wrong did not really matter to me, my own feelings overwriting any sense of morality that inhabited me.
Ashley just started to giggle as she leaned into me.
"I guess you aren't." She said between bouts of laughter.
"Might as well put it off, Andy ain't ready for that conversation," Ashley mumbled out. That was fair a normal person would have qualms about killing their parents even if they literally sold them out. I did not think Andrew was normal but he wanted to at least pretend that he was.
I was planning on tracking them down before we left his world but if Ashley wanted to leave it to later I was fine with that. I came to this world for cuddles after all. The murders could wait for another day.
"If that was what you want." I muttered lightly. It was now time to get these two settled in my own world. I was going to have to Obliviate the other guard as well. I was not sure if Fortuna could fuck with the company that pulled off all this bullshit but I wanted to sick her on them anyways.
Fortuna emitted an exasperated fondness but she complied. I would not want to be them right now.
My journey to my girlfriend's world was cut short after all. I was fine with the outcome as the the destination was never the goal of the trip. The world may be a little more interesting than I thought before but it did not change my opinion. There might be things going on in the background but those things were far too dangerous.
Given all the abilities that I had, I could certainly explore the depths of the madness that sulked in the background of that place. I was not going to do so as I did not want to poke demons when the other option was so much safer. I had just started gathering power for myself I was not going to risk anything on a whim.
I had a variety of issues that I could tackle before I even thought about going back there. Even if I was vastly more powerful than I currently was I was not sure about going back. I may be writing off an entire magical society because my first encounter was the worst kind. There could be things that interested me other than the demons after all.
The story that held characters like Ashley and Andrew did not strike me as a pleasant one. The siblings were already flawed beings that were broken. They were then thrown into a desperate situation that would lead to their deaths. The involvement of demons after that was disconcerting. The elements presented to me did not strike me as a whimsical exploration of the magical world.
The siblings did not showcase any Mana as far as I could tell. Ashley had this aura about her that threatened to consume others but it was not enforced with Mana. That aura should be from her Demi-God bloodline meaning in the regular story she should have been a regular human if a psychotic one. Andrew did not showcase any Mana either so I could not imagine the original story going well for them.
There were easier ways to grow in power, I did not need to wander a world filled with blood and torture.
The siblings and I appeared in the Room of Requirments. It was currently still that empty room that I used to test my spells. There were still traces of the various spells I casted. A puddle of water that was lying innocently on the ground. Burn marks and various craters were found on the ground. I had transfigured various objects that littered the place, most of them were in poor condition from my other spells.
Ashley was looking around at the scene of destruction I brought upon this room with interest. Andrew was looking around the room in concern, looking all over the place as if searching for something. He was not going to have the best of luck in that regard, this room was just a vast empty space that I played around in.
"You were not fighting someone before you came to our world right?" Andrew questioned in concern. I suppose that this scene did look like I was fighting some epic battle before I visited them.
"Oh, is this where you mugged the old man!?" Ashley shouted out in excitement. I could see Andrew mouthing the word old man in disbelief. The exasperation that appeared on his face was something I did not expect to see.
"No, I just beat him up Ashley. No mugging for me sadly." I spoke out in fondness. Seeing the expression on my face Andrew paled a bit and seemed to be contemplating something.
"You really should have mugged him. What's the point of beating up a leader of a sex cult when you don't even get shit." Ashley whined out at me. I mean she was not exactly wrong I really should have mugged Dumbledore when I had the chance. Technically I did not win our bout so I could not mug him but that was just a matter of effort on my part.
It came down to me not wanting Dumbledore to know how far I had grown. I was tolerating his existence as the current state of affairs in my world was good for me. If I knocked him out and stole his super powerful wand I would have him hounding me for as long as he lived.
"Sex cult?" Andrew looked like nothing was making sense to him anymore. I chuckled lightly at the sight, if he was going to be a part of Ashley's world he was going to have to get used to the insane. Dumbledore was probably not running a sex cult, that was just Ashley being snarky. Other ridiculous things were bound to happen now so he should prepare himself mentally for all of it.
"Yeah, he was trying to brainwash Prince into joining his cult but Prince beat the shit out of him." Ashley spoke out as if she had witnessed everything that happened. Andrew just looked even more confused but that was to be expected. I blushed lightly and looked away. While I did everything I wanted in that fight I did not beat the shit out of Dumbledore. So her retelling of the story was not exactly accurate. She was operating off of my own words so I could not blame her for it.
"Cool." Andrew spoke out with an awkward smile on his face.
"The old geezer and his cult are not all that important right now." I spoke out trying to change the subject.
"Can I go stab him now?" Ashley asked with a small smile building on her face.
"Ashley no stabbing creepy old men." Andrew reprimanded his sister. The tone he used was a long suffering one. He must have been used to vetoing her more impulsive choices.
"You ain't the boss of me." Ashley whined out as she stuck her tongue out at him. Andrew then turned to me and gave me a look screaming for help. I was not sure why he was looking at me for help, I had been enabling her this entire time. Now should not have been any different.
I rolled my eyes at him which seemed to deflate him.
"The stabbing can wait, you are not in his league right now." I softly chided Ashley. She looked over at me with a pout on her face and Andrew perked up. He was giving me a grateful look but I did not really do it for him. I was all for enabling her but Dumbledore was an incredibly skilled Wizard. She may be a Demi-God that was roided up but she would not be able to handle the guy. Magic was the great equalizer after all.
"Let's just focus on getting you guys set up." I spoke out and snapped my fingers. Ashley was still covered in blood and if we were going to walk around that was not going to work out. I had no idea how she could be fine with all the blood on her. I hugged her for a very brief period and I was feeling rather sticky. I then cleaned myself up as well.
She looked down at her now clean clothes and simply shrugged. Andrew seemed relieved that his sister was no longer coated in blood so we were on the same page in that regard. Ashley then walked towards me and hopped onto my back in a motion that she had done hundreds of times. It was slightly off as she was used to doing this when I was shorter but her reflexes carried her through her action.
I just sighed as she adjusted her weight on my back. Why she wanted a piggyback ride so often I could not fathom. Andrew was looking at the two of us with an understanding look. I shuddered as I did not want him to understand anything about me.
"Are we going to live in a castle?" Ashley excitedly questioned right into my ear. It was not that loud but it being so close was unpleasant. Andrew looked around the room and just shrugged. I suppose he was fine with living in a castle.
"You do not want to live in a castle." I spoke out seriously. The siblings did not look like they trusted my statement. So I took out the big guns.
"Two words, modern plumbing." My comment caused Andrew to blanch. Ashley stopped excitedly mumbling behind me. Sure living in a giant castle was something to brag about but a fucking modern toilet was not something people gave up. Hogwarts had toilets but this was a magical castle. A completely different breed in comparison to a regular castle.
Ashley and Andrew could not stay in Hogwarts currently. They did not have any Mana so staying in the castle was a pipe dream. I could change that and I might as I was bound to spend some time here. That was for later though.
"You don't use modern plumbing?" Ashley asked as if she was seeing me for the first time. Andrew was sharing a similar sentiment. I could not blame them, to not have those things would be rather shocking. I was not going to bring up the history of my people. I still can't comprehend that we used to just shit anywhere and then just banished it. I could only blame the author for trying to stay relevant.
"One this is a magical castle, it has modern plumbing. Two this is not my home I'm just a student here." I did not want to field this many irrelevant questions.
"A student…? Like a college student?" Andrew questioned with confusion on his face. I only looked over at him and shrugged. I have grown two years since the mission and I was now out of the jailbait category. Even if everyone else thought I was still in said category.
Seeing my attitude Andrew paled. He then started to mutter to himself.
"I knew she was going to commit more crimes but robbing the cradle was not on the list." Andrew muttered out, I was certain I was not supposed to hear that. I did not care what he thought even if he was right. Ashley had already faced this issue but seeing it brought up by her brother she blushed and buried her head into my neck.
I looked at the muttering Andrew and the embarrassed Ashley and just sighed. I really did not expect my day to be going like this. Well, if I did not want to deal with a hundred questions I should take action instead of talking. Andrew and Ashley were dressed in a modern style but I was wearing too tight robes.
I transfigured them into a T-shirt and jeans. The shirt was black to match the aesthetic of the siblings while the jeans were blue. My shoes were not in the best condition either so I fixed them up. If my clothes were made of actually expensive material I would not be able to do what I was currently doing. I never thought I would thank the day that I was so broke.
Ashley still had her head buried in my shoulder so she did not see the change. Andrew on the other hand was just blankly looking at me. I walked towards him. Before he could ask me any more questions I had my hand on his shoulder.
As soon as I made contact I popped all of us to muggle London. We appeared in an alley that I was familiar with. There was no one around as far as I could tell, I got lucky in that regard.
"Hey, watch it." Andrew said as he shrugged off my hand. I rolled my eyes at the guy if I wanted to harm him he would not be able to just shrug off my hand. Ashley looked up when Andrew displayed his displeasure.
"I needed to make contact to teleport us to London." I spoke out blandly. Andrew looked displeased for a moment before he took in my words. He then looked around at the now completely different surroundings and gaped.
"Magic's fucking convenient." Ashley spoke out as she looked around as well. Her words gathered Andrew's attention but he still seemed shocked. I motioned him to follow as I walked out of the alley.
"I'll teach you some tricks. You are a Demi-God, you should be able to pick up some tricks." I muttered lightly as I did not want to gather too much attention from the bustling crowd. Ashley squealed into my ear and I flinched away from the sudden noise.
Andrew gave us a startled look as he did not hear my own words.
Ashley's squeal attracted a lot of attention, the thing that I was trying to avoid. I could only give the crowd a bland smile as I continued walking. They were still looking at us even after they registered what the noise was. I could not really blame them, we made a rather eye catching sight. Even Andrew was far more attractive than would be considered normal.
The dude pulled off his look to a tee. Even if said look was sad poetry boy. His bright green eyes were something that would gather attention. I only sent him a single nutrition potion but it clearly did a lot of good for him. Or maybe he was always this good looking.
He seemed to be soaking in the attention with a smile on his face. Ashley was glaring at anyone who was looking at me. Which caused even more looks to be shuffled to Andrew. Still, some of those looks could not be deterred by Ashley's glare. It did wonders for my ego even if those people might as well be cattle in my eyes.
"So where do you guys want to live?" I asked lightly as we walked. I could set them up any where so I might as well get their opinion on where they wanted to end up. I only picked the busy streets of London as our destination because I figured they would want to be in contact with people.
"I would be happy with a god damn box after the fucking quarantine." Ashley spat out with anger dyeing her features again. Andrew did not say anything but he seemed to agree with the words. I grabbed her and spun her off of my back. I held her body in my arms and gave her startled eyes a soft look. She stiffened in my arms and a hazy look appeared in her eyes but she shook it off.
She gave me a small glare with her cheeks blazing.
"Don't do shit like this unless you are gunna commit." Ashley muttered as she continued blushing. I chuckled and shifted so I could whisper in her ear.
"You know I'm always willing to commit." I whispered into her ear and she shuddered. The red on her face spread to her ears. I chuckled again and started walking again with her in my arms.
"I get that you guys would be happy with anything but I can get you anything so shoot for the moon." Any sort of muggle residence might as well be free to me. I had a mountain of literal gold I could buy whatever the fuck I wanted. Hell, I did not even need to use the gold I stole from the Prince family. I may not be Nicolas Flamel but I was far more in tune with Transfiguration than anyone else alive. Turning whatever I wanted into gold permanently was not even an issue for me.
Which kind of made my robbery of Gringotts a waste of time but I was fine with that. My main reason for robbing them was spite if I was going to be honest.
I could mind control the muggles to just give me the property but that was bound to get back to me eventually. It was better to spend the infinite amount of gold I could produce.
"Just like that?" Andrew questioned with a distrustful look on his face. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Look, this might seem like a lot for you but it is a very minor thing for me." I looked over at Andrew trying to convey how little I cared about this. I would be willing to do far more than buy them a home. Ashley meant far more to me than the effort I would spend doing this.
He looked over at me and just nodded slowly.
"So you will get us a mansion if I ask?" Ashley questioned in my arms. I rolled my eyes at her but nodded. If they wanted a mansion then I was fine with that. Andrew's eyes seemed to light up as he finally understood what I meant when I said shoot for the moon.
"I will but tell me this, how are you going to keep the place clean?" A mansion needed servants to have everything in working order. It is a rather large hassle to work through for the ego boost. Not that I was one to talk I was planning on setting up a nice castle for myself. Unlike them, I had easy access to loyal servants who would be able to keep any home in working order.
I suppose I could offer to get them house elves. I wanted Ashley to at least think about her actions so I was not going to offer solutions just yet. She took in my words and just pouted, Andrew's eyes dimmed slightly but he understood my point.
"A mansion would still be cool." Ashley muttered as she sulked. I laughed at her antics.
"Alright, I'll figure out the servant issue if you want a mansion then you'll get a mansion." I spoke out between laughter. My voice was not exactly quiet in this regard so I gathered even more looks. I should have thought that through.
Beyond the housing issue, I had to make their identities a real thing. I had to manipulate several government employees to get that done. Then I was going to have to make a paper trail to enforce the documents the government would issue. I could only thank my lucky stars that we were in a time where we did not have to worry about digital files.
The paper trail should be easy with those employees pointing the way for me. God, I was going to have another busy day.
